A board-certified orthodontist, Bill Crutchfield, D.D.S. is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics who has been on the forefront of adopting technology in his practice for over 25 years. His commitment to state-of-the-art technology, coupled with his warm personality and conservative approach to orthodontics, have earned him respect throughout his professional and local communities.
He has been annually, and humbly, awarded Best Dentist and Best Orthodontist by local magazines (Washingtonian, Virginia Living, and Northern Virginia Magazine to name a few) for several years running.
A lot has changed since Dr. Crutchfield first started practicing (on right), including the awesome new technology we get to use every day. From 3D x-rays and robotically twisted wires for the perfect fit OBC has evolved to be the most technologically advanced orthodontic practice in Northern Virginia.

When he is not at OBC, Dr. Crutchfield loves to spend time in the OBX! The Outer Banks of North Carolina is actually the inspiration for the OBC logo and the laid-back beach theme throughout our office.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his wife, Calla, and their two daughters, Alexandra and Stephanie. Dr. Crutchfield also dedicates time to represent his profession and peers at the national level on Capitol Hill.

I can not even describe just how amazing Dr. Crutchfield and his staff are. You don't even feel like you're in an orthodontists office, they make you feel so comfortable and at ease. Not to mention the beautiful beach themed office and slushies. I love them! Go here!

I cannot praise OBC enough!! Dr. Crutchfield is one of the best orthodontists out there. I was shopping around trying to find the best provider for my ortho journey and this was the place I felt at ease. From my first consultation I instantly knew I wanted to do my treatment here. The staff were all so welcoming and I appreciated that they took the time to listen and advise me. I recommend Dr. Crutchfield to all my family and friends because he is that great. At OBC you do not only sign up for ortho treatment, but you also sign up for a very supportive & friendly staff. My smile looks great! Thank you, Dr. Crutchfield & team for all you have done!!

I absolutely love everyone at OBC. The Doctor and his staff are amazing, very friendly and kind. Both my daughters go there and always look forward for their next visit.. The front desk people always greets us with a smile and always there to answer any questions or concerns I may have. I wish i could give more than 5 STARS.I highly recommend OBC.

I can't imagine anyone saying anything negative about the group of people who work here and Dr Crutchfield. Everyone at OBC is amazing, accommodating, kind and understanding. I will have all three of my boys in braces through OBC and they actually look forward to going! That is high praise!

Dr. Crutchfield and his staff was so personable and professional They walked us through the whole process from beginning to end. My teenager is hard to impress, but they did it! We're at the start of an 18 month long process, but I couldn't be happier so far with our decision.

I've been coming in and out for almost 4 years and the service has been great. They do what needs to be done on your teeth and they tell you what needs to be done. Everybody here is very kind and very fast workers :)
