Dr. Mimmo Addiego is a true home grown South Jersey orthodontist. Having grownup on Long Beach Island, Dr. Addiego attended both LBI and Southern Regional district schools before transferring and graduating from Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in 1993. He attended St. Josephs University in Philadelphia where he majored in biology, achieved outstanding grades, and earned a Bachelor of Science in 1997. Dr. Addiegos decisionto follow in the footsteps of many of his family members made himthe seventh Addiegoto pursue a career in dentistry.

In dental school, he simply excelled. He received academic honors which included the Martin N. Kravit Award and the Philadelphia County Dental Society Student Award inrecognition of outstanding academic and clinical achievement. He was recognized in Whos Who among Students in American Universities for his accomplishments at Temple Dental, and received the American Academy of Orofacial Pain Award in acknowledgement of his ability to assess and manage temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders and orofacial pain.

Along with the numerous awards, Dr. Addiego became the only student to be inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society as a junior, and he received the highest score on the national board exam. As busy as he was, Dr. Addiego volunteered to travel to Haiti, where he provided free dental care to underprivileged children. In 2002, Dr. Addiego graduated at the top of his class.

Right after dental school, Dr. Addiego decided to serve USveterans and joined a one-year general practice residency at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He also married his sweetheart, Lieutenant Jessica Addiego, who is currently serving our country in the United States Navy.

Following his service with the veterans, Dr. Addiego journeyed to Boston,where he completed his residency in orthodontics at the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University. He received a certificate of advanced graduate training in orthodontics as well as a Master of Science in dentistry in 2006.

While studying in Boston, Dr. Addiego received extensive training and certification in Invisalign, tissue management with lasers, and the placement and utilization of orthodontic miniscrew implants. The orthodontic program in Boston is considered to be one of the top orthodontic residencies in the country.

Dr. Addiego had the privilege of being mentored by past chairmanDr. Anthony Gianelly. Dr. Gianelly is internationally known as one of the best educators, researchers, and lecturers in orthodontics. The orthodontists trained at Boston University are taught to treat the most complicated orthodontic malocclusions, such aspatients who need orthognathic jaw surgery in conjunction with orthodontics.

Dr. Addiego loves his profession and his family. He currently lives in Cedar Run with his wife and three children:Mario, Angelo, and Domenic. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, fishing, water sports, and traveling. Dr. Addiego is committed to staying at the forefront of his field, and does this by attending continuing education courses all over the world.

Ive been part of the Addiego Orthodontics family for more than 14years, and have loved every minute! Its a pleasure to work in a practice where everything is about our patients. Each of us loves helping people, and makesure theyre smiling during their visits. Its so much fun to watch each persons self-esteem and confidence grow as his or hernew smile is developed! I help patients and parents understand the orthodontic process and explain the different treatment options.

Outside of work, I have a very busy life. My husband Ron and I have been married for more than 25 years and have a son, Ronny, who recently graduated from college. Ron and Ronny are local volunteer firefighters and assistant scoutmasters. Our family loves to travel and vacation, and Im a Halloween fanatic!

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing everyone walk in and out with smiles on their faces. I love getting to know thepatients, learning who they are, and becoming friends with them. Watching them change and become more confident as they see their new smile appear never grows old! I provide assistance to Dr. Addiego during procedures, to assisthim and keepour patient updated on whats happening.

Its fun to spend my days talking with people, hearing about their life, interests, and dreams. Im always learning something new, and I love each conversation! I help Dr. Addiego as he cares for patients. Sitting chairside, I assist him, while also talking with thepatient. I make sure people arecomfortable, tell them what the doctor is doing, and make sure theyre smiling at the end.
