Dr. Payne was born and raised in Boise. He had braces as a gawky tween, and really saw the value of a good smile. Apparently, so did Jennifer Swain, a high school classmate, because they started dating shortly after meeting.
Following high school, Dr. Payne served a mission for his church in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. He then finished college at Brigham Young University with honors in Mechanical Engineering. After finishing near the top of his class in dental school in Portland, Oregon and completing an orthodontic residency in Richmond, Virginia, the Payne's decided to go back to their roots. Orthodontics at BridgeTower was opened in 2004.
Dr. Payne married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, in 1994 and they are the proud parents of two daughters and a son (can you guess which are the twins?). His hobbies include tennis, skiing, golf, vacationing, baking, and mountain-biking. Dr. Payne and his family are very happy to be home here in Meridian.
After graduating from dental school, he served in the United States Navy, practicing dentistry as a Naval Officer in South Carolina. Despite his love and appreciation for the military, he and his family moved to Colorado to pursue a life-long dream of becoming an orthodontist.
Dr. Curtis and his wife Whitney have three children: Millie, Lucy, and Calvin. They love Idaho and are so happy to be settled home in Meridian. In his free time, Dr. Curtis loves spending time outdoors with his family (especially boating!). He loves all things sports particularlybasketball, football, tennis, and golf. Along with his love for family and sports, he is also passionate about Mexican food, cold cereal, and anything mango.
Selina loves books, dogs, her bed, college football, Dr. Pepper, ginger ale, and sometimes her family. She works at OAB for the fun and friends- keep your teeth, gums, and tongues away from her. (Trust us). Goodbye.
Emily just graduated from Rocky Mountain High School #CovidSenior. She is working at OAB for the summer and headed off to BYU for college in the fall. She loves baking, her (three!) cats, flowers, and giving her dad (who also happens to be Dr. Payne) a hard time! Emily adds such a light to our office and will make you smile the minute you walk in!
Amy grew up in Ogden, UT (so she definitely has street cred) and moved here in June of 2012 with her husband, Nate, to follow his dreams of working at a prison. She was hired by Dr. Payne shortly after, because, she has like, a TON of marketable skills (sarcasm being her #1 skill). Even though they have had plenty of opportunities to move back to Utah where her family is, she stays here because of the family she has found at OAB. (Plus, her husband found a non-prison related job.) She has two adorable kids- one girl (Blake) and one boy (Cole). She enjoys listening to music (don 't ask her to sing), crafting, shopping (Nate, the accountant, does NOT appreciate this 'hobby') concerts, Diet Dr. Pepper, and working out (just ask her how high she can jump). Her sisters are her best friends and her number one band is The Killers. Her dream job (besides working for Dr. Payne) is to be on Saturday Night Live, but she 's secretly always wanted to be a rapper.
Sami was born and raised in Marsing. The majority of her childhood was spent on her family's farm, on a tractor, or chasing cows. After graduating dental assisting school, she had the chance to interview for an externship at OAB and she absolutely loved everything about our office. However, she decided to go a different route and took a job assisting with an oral surgeon. After a year, she couldn't stop thinking about OAB so she applied right when she saw that we had an opening. She never knew it was possible to wake up and be excited to come to work every morning. She adores her work family. Her favorite food is hot Cheetos and she always keeps a bag at her desk in case of a snack emergency. When she is not at OAB, she likes to spend time with her cats and ride her horse.
Kelly was born in Murray, Utah. Throughout her life, she has lived in six different states and has moved 20(!!!) times. Her favorite place to live is in Meridian, so she is here to stay! Kelly has four beautiful children and one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law. Kelly loves being outdoors, wearing baseball hats, listening to country music, watching college football, and hanging out with her kids. Kelly has been bitten by a Brown Recluse spider TWICE. Kelly is warm and kind and she will always greet you with a smile.
