When Dr. Aron joined Orthodontic Specialty Services in 1998, he worked alongside his father, Dr. Gene. Dr. Gene was a wise and treasuredorthodontic mentor until his passing in late 2020. Now, Dr. Aron has his wife, Robin, his son, Dominik, and his daughter, Marissa, as part of the OSS team.
Dr. Ketcham focuses on providing a peaceful solution for patients who seek treatment for TMJ/TMD (temporomandibular disorder) and sleep apnea. He is the only prosthodontic specialist in Northeast Indiana who limits his practice to the non-surgical treatment of TMJ disorders. Dr. Ketcham has been providing extraordinary care to patients since 1972.
What was your first job? My first job was scooping ice cream at our local ice cream parlor. I really enjoyed the interaction with our customers, many were regulars. Just like in our office, you build relationships with those you see on a weekly andmonthly basis.What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given? The best piece of advice I have ever been given was from a high school teacher who said, Always be true to yourself. People should like and respect you for who you are, not who they want you to be. I strive to live my life by those standards.What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given? Im not sure this advice was given to me, but this is my advice to others: You never know what others are going through as you meet them, whether at the supermarket, a gas station, a restaurant, a doctors office, etc; sogive them your BIGGEST smile as it could make all the difference in their day. Perhaps this is why I love my job so much! I love creating beautiful smiles, because your smile is the best accessory!What famous person would you like to meet? Justin Timberlake AND Jimmy Fallon. They are so hilarious together, and I would love to just spend a day with them laughing and having fun. Plus Justin Timberlake has been my celebrity crush since FOREVER! : )What was your first job? My first job was as a housekeeper at a hotel in Shipshewana. I cleaned rooms and trained new housekeepers. I worked there most of high school and my freshman year of college. The biggest bonus was I worked with my best friend, so it was always fun!What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given? The best piece of advice I received came from my mom at a very early age: Cant is a lazy word; say Ill try. At 92 years of age, shes still a living example for that advice.What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given? 'Take everything to God. Any decision, any request, any wishgive it to God. When I try to take control, it gets messed up. Hes the Master Planner, let Him do the work and worry so it all ends up perfectly!'What profession would you never try? When I was younger, I always thought it would be great to be a veterinarian.I love animals and thought it would be great to see and take care of them all day.Later I realized that some of them may be sick and possibly die.I didnt want to spend my career crying all the time so I changed my mind.What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given? Dont go to bed at night upset and mad at someone (or your husband,HAHA). Try to work things out; life will be so much more enjoyable and less stress!!!
