Dr. Falk, a former resident of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, is a graduate of the University of Scranton. While there, she received the prestigious Bernard Shair Memorial Award, which is earned by a student who gives the greatest promise of a lifetime to dentistry and community as exemplified by Dr. Shair.
Dr. Falk graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry and completed her orthodontic residency at St. Louis University, Center for Advanced Dental Education, graduating with a Masters of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. The orthodontic residency program at SLU is considered one of the best in the nation. During her residency at SLU, Dr. Falk had the privilege of working with some of the leading clinical orthodontics in the country. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Scranton District Dental Society and the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Falk is very active in the greater Scranton community. She has served as treasurer of the Scranton District Dental Society for the last 9 years. Orthodontic Specialists sponsors events in the community, including school fundraisers, plays, sports teams, races, dance recitals, memorial fundraisers and more. She has performed a great deal of pro bono work for children who present in the office in financial need. Dr. Falk also loves playing an active role at her church, Mary Mother of God, in Scranton.
In 2017, she was named one of the Top 25 Women in Business by the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal. Dr. Falk was voted to the national list of Top Dentists in Orthodontics, Advantage Readers Choice Award and named the Times Tribune Best Orthodontist consecutive times. She currently is an Invisalign Platinum Provider.
Dr. Falk is married to Dr. Corey Chmil, a local dentist. They have 2 children, a son named Cole and a daughter named Connelly. In her spare time, she is just like so many of us that look forward to spending time with her husband and children, and their dog, Graycie!
Dr. Gershey is a lifelong native of the Scranton Area. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he was presented with the Matthew Cryer Society Award. This is the highest academic honor given by the School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Gershey completed his orthodontic training from the Temple University School of Dentistry. He began his practice in the Scranton/Mid Valley area in 1978. Dr. Gershey is a past president of the Scranton District Dental Society (1984) and a current member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, and the Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists. In addition he is a member of the American Dental Association and the Scranton District Dental Society.
Dr. Gershey is married to the former Anne E. Rushmore, and is the father of three adult children, Brian, Daniel and Timothy. He is an avid golfer and has won numerous golf titles in the Scranton region. Dr. Gershey is a civil War history buff and enjoys traveling with his wife.
