Dr. Brian Wilde, DMD, MS, was born and raised in Southern California. At a young age his mother and father noticed his natural ability to work with his hands and encouraged him to pursue a career in dentistry where he could utilize his natural talents. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University where he met and married his wife Laura. After completing his undergraduate work, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dr. Wilde attended University of Nevada Las Vegas for dental school where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following dental school, he was one of only four residents accepted into the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics residency program at UNLV where he received his masters degree in Oral Biology and certificate of advanced education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Wilde received the distinguished honor of Outstanding Resident during his residency as chosen by the orthodontic faculty.
Dr. Wilde is a board certified orthodontist with the American Association of Orthodontics, a recognition held by few orthodontists in the Tucson, AZ area. This recognition demonstrates his commitment to excellence in his field and his continual pursuit of education and advanced training in orthodontics. Dr. Wilde and his wife Laura moved to Tucson in March of 2020, and they are thrilled to be living in the beautiful southwest. Dr. Wilde and Laura have three energetic children: Lincoln, Cindy, and Rose. In their spare time they like being outdoors with their kids. They enjoy hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and boating. In fact, Dr. Wilde has been water skiing and wakeboarding at Lake Powell since he was 8 years old!
Laura Wilde is Dr. Wildes wife and the Office Manager at Orthodontic Specialists of Tucson. Laura is also a speech-language pathologist and enjoys providing consults to Dr. Wilde and his patients who may benefit from orofacial myofunctional therapy, a specialty area of hers. When shes not working, Laura spends most of her time chasing her three young children. She also plays the piano and the cello and loves biking and kickboxing.
Laura was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona and growing up she spent a lot of time at her familys cattle ranch near the Grand Canyon. Laura has lived in Tucson with her son since 2016. Lauras dental career began 16 years ago when she started working for her orthodontist. After moving to Tucson, she began working in Oral surgery for 6 years. Laura missed the relationships she gained with patients in the orthodontic field and recently made her way back. In her spare time, Laura loves to spend time serving her community, watching her son play sports, listening to live music, hiking, camping, weightlifting, and going on long walks.
Micaela was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She received her dental assistant certification from Pima Community College in 2010 and has been helping create beautiful smiles as an orthodontic assistant at OST ever since. She is working on obtaining her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. In her free time, she loves going on adventures with her daughter, dancing, jeep rides, hikes, and puppy walks with their goldendoodle.
Hannah is a Tucson native. She has been with the OST team for a combined 7 years. Not only is she an orthodontic assistant, but she is also one of our financial coordinators. Hannah loves working in orthodontics because she can help patients feel confident about their smiles. On her days off Hannah loves to spend time with her husband mountain biking, hiking, and camping.
Hector was born and raised in Douglas, AZ. Tucson became home in 2007. He has been a certified dental assistant since 2009, receiving his certification through Pima Community College. He is currently working on achieving his Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Hector enjoys staying fit by hiking, swimming, weightlifting, and walking his dogs. In his down time, he explores his creative side by cooking, coloring, reading, puzzles, and sometimes video games. Hector has been an orthodontist assistant and lab technician here at OST since 2009.
Laura was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and relocated to Tucson in 1984. She graduated from Flowing Wells High School and has been working at OST for 25 years. She enjoys seeing people transform their confidence along with their smiles. Laura enjoys spending time with family and watching her grandson play basketball. On long weekends she likes to visit her daughter and new grandson in San Diego.
Megan has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and worked for several years doing research in Boston. She stepped back for a bit to spend more time with her family. She eventually returned to school and earned certifications in Montessori primary education. Megan has lived in Tucson for four years now and loves to spend time outdoors with her kids doing activities such as bike riding, hiking and camping, and listening to great music.
Dr. Brian Wilde and his wife Laura have been married for 13 years. They met in college and bonded over a mutual love of the outdoors. Since then, theyve added three awesome children to the Wilde team: Lincoln, Cindy, and Rose.
Lincoln is 11 years old and is a true outdoorsman. He loves all creatures and enjoys finding them in the desert. He has seen 14 rattlesnakes since moving to Tucson and hopes to see a gila monster soon. He is an amazing mountain biker and rock climber.
Cindy is 9 years old and a 3rd grader at Leman Academy in Oro Valley. She is a natural athlete and spends many hours doing gymnastics at Flex Gymnastics on the competitive girls team. She also loves soccer and is learning the piano.
Rose is 6 years old and a 1st grader at Leman Academy. She is on the competitive gymnastics team at Flex Gymnastics along with her sister. Rose is a musician at heart and has been composing her own original songs and lyrics since she was a toddler.
As a family, the Wildes love to go boating. In fact, all three kids have learned to water ski and wake surf, just like their dad. Honeybee Canyon is a favorite Tucson spot to visit- the family loves to hike and rock climb in the canyon. Dr. Wilde and Lauras favorite vacation of all time was a 7-day rafting trip down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. They look forward to taking the whole family again once Rose is old enough! Most evenings, you can find the Wilde crew either biking around the neighborhood, swimming in the pool, or walking their goldendoodle, Oscar Wilde.
