Dr. Tracy Li Cheung is a Board Certified Orthodontist who was born and raised in Manhattan. She is a graduate of the Juilliard Pre-College Division where she studied classical piano, and of Saint Anns School in Brooklyn Heights where she completed her academic studies.
Dr. Cheung received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Stanford University, while also engaging in summer research fellowships in chemistry and physics. Subsequently, she attended UCSF School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with top honors. Dr. Cheung was awarded the prestigious Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Academic Achievement Award, which is presented to the student with the highest academic standing in the graduating class. Dr. Cheung completed her three-year orthodontic specialty training at UCLA, where she received both a Masters of Science in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Cheung was active in research at UCSF and UCLA, and was invited to give oral presentations at the Cleft Lip and Palate Association Annual Meeting and at the American Association of Orthodontics Annual Session. Dr. Cheungs dedication to research resulted in first author publications in the prestigious peer-reviewed scientific journals, American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and PLOS ONE.
Dr. Cheung is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. As an Orthodontic Expert in Briarcliff Manor, she also achieved Affiliate Membership in the Angle Society, which involved presenting cases to be judged to the highest standards.

My experience throughout the whole process was nothing but great. The staff all made me feel like they really cared about the results. They would always carefully explain the process and make sure you understand how to proper receive your wanted results. I would recommend going here to any friend or family.

I wish you could see my smile right now, Dr. Tracy and all of her staff are an amazing group of people! The customer service is excellent! They are all always very friendly and go out of their way to help if you need anything. I can honestly say that I have never been to any other place quite like this one that provides such attention and care.I have been going to her for a couple of years now for my braces and each time i felt so welcomed. I can't say enough and how much I highly recommend coming here if you're interested in orthodontic treatments.

As far as my kids teeth and being straightened etc. they're good. I have one more child still with braces. I give them four stars. I give them 2 stars because it's very difficult to get an appointment after school. I was told more then once that those hours are for potential new clients. I've also been told multiple times that they were booked on a few school holidays only to find out today by Sarah their assistant at the front desk that they're "closed on school holidays because they don't want to get slammed. " Exact words. Unbelievable. So if your ok with pulling your kids out of school for their 6weeks appointments and taking time off of work then this place is for you.

I am an older patient who had concerns with shifting teeth. Dr. Cheung listened to my concerns and explained what would be done throughout the whole process. I am so happy with my results and highly recommend Dr. Cheung to anyone of any age!!

I have appreciated working with Dr. Cheung and her team throughout this past year. I had waited a long time to begin my orthodontic treatment and I am so pleased with my choice to go to Orthodontic Harmony. Dr. Cheung is very suspecious. She also does not treat old patients well and pretend to be nice to new patients. Once you become her patients, she will become less and less patient. She wrote lots of reviews herself. How crazy is that? I hope she can change because she still has some patients. Please be nice to your patients. Thanks

If you are doing research for a top-notch orthodontic practice, you've come to the right place. It's a small team but the quality of care is not only consistent but exceptional. Dr. Tracy and Ayxa are a great team. My appointments are always on time, and the office is hi tech. I think the treatment costs are in line with the quality of services delivered. I am on zoom a lot for work, and I feel a lot more comfortable getting in front of the camera now that my teeth are straight. Parking is easy and the office is clean and modern.

There is not much flexibility when it comes to this office. When I came in for my consultation, I thought we were on the same page in terms of my treatment, however when I came back (almost two months later after putting down an initial deposit and making payments every month) to put my actual attachments on, I was looking at 40 trays on the screen and at the end my teeth dipped in some odd way to close a small open gap in my smile. I didn't want any of that, so Dr. Cheung suggested we stop treatment around 19 trays. That was fine, but no mention of cost reduction (even though I was apparently paying for a 40 tray treatment plan). After having the attachments/clear aligners for 24 hours I decided this was not going to work for me. I needed the attachments off ASAP because my teeth had already been moving prior to treatment and I wear a night guard for severe bruxism. Staff could not get me an appointment for two weeks, but still wanted to charge my card the remaining balance at that time. I told them I wanted to wait for that until my attachments were taken off, which thankfully they allowed me to do. When I re-explained my bruxism situation, I was told to buy a night guard from a CVS (which didn't fit over the many attachments I had on). So I spent night after night grinding my teeth and watching them shift more and more until they saw me two weeks later and finally removed everything. I paid the remainder of my bill with no retainer (that would have been an extra cost) so I had to find another ortho who helped me get a same day retainer. I do think Dr. Chueng is a good orthodontist who knows her stuff, but make sure you are very specific with what you want and how you want it so that there is no miscommunication. Also understand that you are on their time, and it is rare any accommodations will be made for you, especially during Covid. To end on a positive note, the office is kept clean as a whistle and all C19 protocols are strictly followed.

My son's brackets have fallen off before we've arrived home on FOUR separate occasions. After this gross incompetence, my son was told that we would be charged an additional fee (aka - we would literally be paying for their subpar care) The practice--and staff, in general--is unaccommodating, unprofessional, unapologetic, and "require ALL appointments to be made 6 weeks out". They also don't have hours that are advantageous for their clients (school-aged children) -- which means that your child will be forced to miss school, 9 to 12 times/year, if you choose this practice.

All done with my treatment! My treatment took around 1.5 years. I was given the option of either clear aligners or braces. I chose braces because I didn't want to worry about putting my hands in my mouth during the pandemic. My appointments were around every six to eight weeks and were always on time, so I only had to step away from work for a total of 1 hour each time (including getting to and from the office). Honestly, I had pretty high expectations going into the treatment because I had been referred to the practice by a good friend. I am very happy with the outcome! Dr. Cheung knows orthodontics backwards and forwards, and her staff are kind and understanding. No weekend hours, but I was able to make the appointments fit because of how quick they are.
