I grew up in the Quad Cities, and graduatedfrom Rock Island High school.I attended Augustana College and graduated with honors in 1981. The biomedical science program there was the first step in instilling an interest in the health care field.

Next was Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. While there, I developed a passion for orthodontic care. Finally, I received my specialty training in orthodontic care at St. Louis University, and received my advanced degree with honors in 1987.

Since returning to the Quad Cities, I have been blessed to be allowed to help the smiles of many wonderful patients. I enjoy being a part of my patients lives and feel honored that they have chosen me to be a part of theirs. In addition, each day I have the privilege of working with my amazing team of orthodontic care professionals. Their commitment to excellent patient care is inspirational.

While I was attending dental school, I married my high school sweetheart, Jolene. We have now been married for more than 30 years. Jolene is my best friend and the love of my life. Our first child, Emily, was born in 1987 and she changed everything. She taught me what is really important in life. The birth of our sons Bennett in 1989 and Alec in 1991 expanded that knowledge. Raising our children has been the focus of the last few years. Emily is now married to a wonderful young man, Tom, andhas a family of her own.

I grew up on a farm in Pike County, Illinois, the second of three children and the only girl. I was active on the basketball and volleyball teams and was valedictorian of my class at Barry High School. I then attended McKendree University and was a member of the womens basketball team. I graduated with honors, with a bachelor of science degree in biology, and continued my education at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. After earning my doctor of dental medicine degree at SIU, I began practicing as a general dentist in Quincy, Illinois.

I enjoyed my time as a general dentist but had a desire to specialize so that I could focus on and excel in a single discipline within dentistry. Orthodontics became the clear choice, and I was fortunate to be accepted to the University of Illinois-Chicago, where I completed a three-year postgraduate residency program and obtained both my Masters of Science in Oral Sciences and a Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics.

After completing my orthodontic training, I went to work in Chicago treating a diverse patient base at a busy clinic. It was an enriching experience and has prepared me with the tools necessary to treat all different types of orthodontic challenges. I am so excited to now be joining Drs. Marine and Welser in the Quad Cities and serving the families in the community. I feel very fortunate to be joining such a great team and well-established practice.

While practicing as a general dentist, I met Ben, and after several years of a long-distance relationship, we married in 2016, and I picked up the last name Marine! We recently bought our first home in Moline, and Ben is practicing as a general dentist in the Quad Cities. In my free time I enjoy playing the piano and guitar, and Ben and I love traveling to new places, and spending time with our friends and family.

Petra is one of the first faces youll see when you walk in the doors at Orthodontic Group Associates. She works with the doctors to get you started on the road to a beautiful, healthy smile. Petra and her husband live in Moline. They have three adult children and three grandchildren they love to spoil! In their free time, they enjoy concerts with friends and family, and have just started kayaking, which they really enjoy!

Beth has been in the orthodontic field for 19 years. She is the office manager at our Clinton location and helps as treatment coordinator at our Moline office. She feels privileged to be a part of a positive, enthusiastic team that changes lives every day. Beth and her husband Joe live on a farm in rural Clinton. They enjoy traveling, wine tasting, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeye football team.

Salena has worked in the dental field, in different specialties, for seven years. She loves watching patients transition throughout their treatment. She will make sure that you are comfortable and fully understand whats going on during your treatment. Salena and her husband Neko have two beautiful young daughters. They stay busy enjoying the outdoors, playing sand volleyball, watching sports, and spending time with family.

Barb has been with Orthodontic Group Associates since 1994. She enjoys being part of our team and doing whatever she can around the office to help. Barb and her husband Terry have three children and two grandchildren that they love to spend time with.

Tracy has a welcoming smile and is excited to help with yours! She has been a value to all three of our practice locations for 21 years. Tracy and her husband Ryan have two children and one dog, Rizzo. If they arent going to basketball games, they enjoy spending time together as a family.

Donna loves interacting with our patients and watching them become more confident and outgoing as their treatment progresses. She feels lucky to be part of a very talented and professional team that works well together and likes to have fun. Donna and her husband Kendall have three grown children and three grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, golfing, boating, and spending time with friends and family.

Pam has been in the dental/orthodontic field for 23 years, and 12 of those with OGA. She loves to see the changes in patients confidence as their teeth start to straighten. In the lab, Pam likes to get creative by helping the patients pick out colors for retainers. Pam and her husband Pat have been married 36 years. They have three children, and three grandchildren. They love to golf, cheer for the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa State Cyclones, taste wine and spoil their grandchildren.

Ally enjoys working with all our patients, watching and helping them become more confident in their smiles. You will see her at both our Moline and Clinton offices, where she works hard to make sure each patient feels comfortable at every visit. Ally started in the field in 2018 and feels lucky to be part of such a hardworking and friendly team. Outside of work, Ally likes to go hiking with her fur babies, and enjoys traveling, boating, and spending time with family and friends.

Nayeli is one of our newest employees and comes to us with three years of experience at another practice. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys seeing orthodontic changes in the patients we treat. When she isnt working, Nayeli loves to travel and enjoys spending time with family.
