Dr. Robert Lauder is a native of the Bloomington-Normal area and has been practicing orthodontics since 1991. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry with honors in 1988, and also received a masters degree in orthodontics from the University of Illinois in 1990.
Dr. Lauder is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, Illinois State Dental Society and the McLean County Dental Society. In 2010, he completed an almost 10-year term as a Board Member of the Western Avenue Community Center. He acted as the President of WACC for several years of that term.
Dr. Scott Peterson was raised in Pekin and graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1996. At IWU, he was a member of the Titans 1996 Final Four basketball team. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2001 and earned his Orthodontics Certificate and a Master of Science Degree in 2004.
Dr. Peterson has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. In addition, he is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, McLean County Dental Society and the Central Illinois Orthodontic Study Club. He is also a member of the board for the McLean County Dental Society.
Dr. Kate Finlen was born and raised in Bloomington-Normal. She graduated with honors from Northwestern University in 2008. She attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2015. Dr. Finlen also completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Iowa, serving as chief resident and earning her orthodontic certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry in 2017.
Before returning to her hometown, Dr. Finlen lived and worked in the Washington, D.C. area for two years. She and her husband, Shawn, who is also a native of Bloominton-Normal, are excited to be back near family with their son, Miles.

This office 100% gets it! They surpass excellent customer service on all levels! From the receptionists to the techs to the Doctors-the culture this group of GOOD PEOPLE has created is exemplary to say the least. From your consultation forward, they explain everything in a way that makes you feel truly comfortable with your treatment plan. Everyone is so personable! Monthly adjustments feel like you're catching up with old friends. They're always willing to work with you on scheduling, billing and last minute, quick appointments to fix a pokey wire. I've had the privilege of seeing all 3 Doctors but can really only attest to the experience I've had with Dr. Peterson as he's the primary one handling my treatments. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to work for this Dr. So down to earth! They all are. You can tell everyone who works here loves their job and their patients, which is so refreshing to see in today's world. Kuddos to you all!

All three of our daughters and I have trusted Dr. Lauder with our smiles! The office staff is always friendly and polite. Dr. Lauder and his techs care about patient comfort and the office is run very efficiently with virtually no wait. Thanks to everyone at Orthodontic Associates!

Dr Peterson is fantastic. Two of my children and myself are all under his care. He is very patient and takes his time answering all of our questions. I also admire the way he treats his staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Hands down the best! Plus he is a Cubs fan, so you know he is great!!!

Dr. Peterson has now fixed 3 of my daughter's smiles. The staff and Dr Peterson are so wonderful! We will definitely miss seeing all of them but LOVE our girl's smiles

The staff are friendly, professional, and make you feel right at home. I loved the way Dr. Finlen interacted with my son throughout the whole process and empowered my 10 yr old to be accountable for his dental health. This is a fantastic practice, one is highly recommend!

Always a friendly staff & very timely! Extremely satisfied with the outcome with Cadin's teeth. Dr. Peterson always explained every little detail during course of treatment. Would highly recommend for someone looking for the best orthodontist!

The atmosphere of Dr. Peterson and his staff was so comfortable! I really appreciate how hard he and all his staff worked, very dedicated individuals. I'm very grateful for what they've all have been able to do for me in the last 3 & a half years. The best orthodontist in town!
