Born and raised in Columbia, SC, Dr. Ford S. Cooper returned to South Carolina in 1997 from Washington, DC and began his career in orthodontics. Dr. Cooper received his Bachelors Degree in Zoology from Howard University in 1987 and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors from Howard in 1992. After graduating from dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency program at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC.
Dr. Cooper enjoyed practicing family dentistry with his father and older brother, Drs. Noble P. Cooper and Noble P. Cooper Jr. respectively, in his hometown for a short period of time. The Cooper legacy, beginning with the late Dr. H.H. Cooper, has provided continuous dental service in South Carolina for more than 100 years.
He is currently working on more than 20 years in private practice and is one of a few orthodontists that actively holds a duel license in both South Carolina and North Carolina. He currently has two offices in the Charlotte metropolitan area: one in the Northlake area and the other in the University area, as well as offices in Rock Hill, SC and Spartanburg, SC

Dr Cooper is wonderful. He took great care of my orthodontic needs. My teeth are getting straighter & smile is beautiful. Dr Cooper is wonderful. My treatment is still going on.. I really like this office and I really love how well they have advocated for my daughter's insurance company to approve braces but sometimes the receptionists are all over the place. I had to cancel a appointment due to my vehicle breaking down on the way and they wouldn't reschedule the appointment when I asked. they just made my daughter wait another four weeks until her next appointment. It was a little frustrating.

Staff is completely nice except one lady(she's older, sound like she's in her 40's, I believe either had ginger or blond hair) but the new girl who does appointments never scheduled me a appointment(she wear teal scrubs and she have dark hair, she looks around 23-24, I believe she was Latina ). I got my braces tightened November 23rd,2021, this lady said that "the month of December was full so we would have to call you for your next appointment" ok so 3 months past it is now February and I still did not receive a call! My mouth is in so much pain because my wires are far out so I HAD to call THEM to schedule a appointment, I have to wait 2 weeks to get my wires fixed but hey at least I'm getting in the chair.

I adore Dr.Cooper and and so do my kids. We completely trust him.After the other drs wanted to pull my daughters tooth because it was crooked I went for a third opinion and was glad I trusted my gut because her jaw was crooked and that tooth was needed so it could be moved and her jaw be aligned. Even though the office is 45 min away it is worth the drive. They know our family and are engage with kids during visits. He is thorough and clearly knows what he is doing. We are very happy to have found Orthocare!

Always great customer service its starts when first walk in the door Dr Copper is the best Orthodontist in the QC If you want to get braces and when you come out of them you got a beautiful wonderful smile with your pretty teeth that's where you need to go see Dr cooper

I really felt like I was at home as soon as I arrived! Everyone one was very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed everyone's vibrant personalities and Dr. Cooper is absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable. It was definitely an excellent experience.

Made an appointment for initial consultation. Arrived on time for appointment and still wasnt seen a hour later. This was a horrible first impression for a potential new patient. Decided to go somewhere where my time is respected.

I really do appreciate when I'm kept in the loop with my progress. When I ask questions they are answered and explained with out attitude. Always professional. And of course...... We have been with this office for almost 2 years and continue to have issues with communication and having visits where nothing is done on my daughters teeth. And then today. even though I spoke with two separate office staff prior to our visit today, neither managed to check my daughters chart to see that she already had brackets on her molars and her appointment today was not necessary. As I expressed my frustration to the office staff once again, once again no one seems to be truly apologetic for how frustrating it is to try and work with their office. Excuses are always made.

Dr Cooper is the best not for just me but for my son as well. He's home visiting from the Airforce and his wife popped loose. He told him to come on in and he'd take care of it to get him whatever he needed. I thank and appreciate him and his staff. Awesome group of people he has working with him. My daughter got her braces here. They were economical and have provided great service for the past 3 years. Always friendly and helpful. When my daughter had her 2nd to last appointment before her braces, the staff was clapping and congratulating her which made her even more excited to get them off. The doctors are knowledgeable too.
