Dr. Holland is a dual-trained prosthodontist and orthodontist, which is very rare here in the United States. In fact, there are fewer of these doctors than people whove been to the moon! But what exactly does that mean?

Orthodontists are trained to diagnose, prevent, and correct structural concerns in a patients teeth, while prosthodontists study state-of-the-art techniques for treating complex dental conditions caused by lost and damaged teeth, restoring overall function and stability. By combining these two talents, Dr. Holland can deftly handle even the most complex oral circumstances, improving not only the beauty of his patients smiles, but their overall harmony and wellbeing too.

Dentistry has always been deep in Dr. Hollands family history in fact, his father, uncle, both grandfathers, and one great-grandfather were all proud dentists! Additionally, his mother worked as a dental hygienist. From a young age, he loved so many things about the field, including the science and medicine involved and being able to fix problems with his hands. He chose to pursue the prosthodontic and orthodontic specialties because he particularly enjoyed complicated cases and working with children who had congenitally missing teeth.

When it comes to why Dr. Holland chose to eventually become a strict orthodontist, the answer is simple he wants to be the best at what he does. His extra specialty training still helps him handle more complicated cases with ease, and this added expertise even leads to better outcomes for even the most straightforward situations.

Dr. Holland is a proud alumnus of John Stockton Elementary, James Weldon Johnson, and Stanton College Preparatory School. After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Florida with his Bachelors of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition, he continued his education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was then honored by being selected to pursue a unique, five-year dual specialty program in both Prosthodontics and Orthodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, making him one of approximately ten such specialists in the entire United States.

Dr. Holland has decided to limit his practice to orthodontics. However, his extensive training uniquely qualifies him for the more complicated cases, including but not limited to: children with congenitally missing teeth, adults with interdisciplinary needs, and the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders. Dr. Hollands true passion for his craft is evident in his education in both restorative dentistry and orthodontics. His goal is to provide his patients with every available treatment option in order to achieve the optimal result, both aesthetically and functionally. He loves helping them achieve newfound confidence and pride through their smiles watching them transform is his ultimate fulfillment!

Dr. Holland enjoys spending his free time with his wife Vanessa and their four young children named Blake, Cody, Arden, and Walker. They go on lots of vacations together and also spend low-key, relaxing weekends with friends. Watching his kids play sports is always a joy, as well as fiercely cheering on the Florida Gators. Other hobbies include camping and fishing.

Vanessa is originally from Orlando and attended the University of Florida for her education, earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a degree in Marketing. Her favorite part of this position is being able to watch each patients confidence positively transform over time, as well as getting to know them and their families.

Vanessa has been married to Dr. Holland for over a decade now, and they have four young children, two dogs, and a cat at home. Outside of work, she enjoys going camping and fishing with the family, running, working out early before everyone else wakes up, and eating anything chocolate. She was a former University of Florida cheerleader as well GO GATORS! She also regularly practices photography and was actually the one who captured all of the pictures of patients you see on our orthodontic office walls and in our advertisements.

Emily first joined our Orthodontic office two years ago, and despite how clich it sounds, she truly loves working with such wonderful patients and team members every day. She has her Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and her Masters in Education from DePaul University. She is also certified in CPR.

Originally from Gainesville, Emily has a crazy and fun-loving family that includes her husband and two young boys. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and participating in Peloton Competitions. Shes also got some great dance moves to show off!

Belindas career in the dental field impressively spans well over 40 years now, and she never gets tired of seeing how each patients improved smile changes their self-esteem for the better! Originally from Fayetteville, NC, she studied at UNC Dental Assisting.

Belinda has one grown daughter and three grandsons. When she isnt busy at the orthodontic office, she spends her free time crocheting, making cards for her church, volunteering, singing in the church choir, and reading a good book.

Lisa is originally from Hayward, CA. She studied at Chabot Community College and is a Registered Dental Assistant in the state of California. She also has advanced training in coronal polishing, X-rays, ultrasonic scalers, and childcare. Today, her career in the oral healthcare field covers over 25 years. She loves seeing the beautiful transformation of the patients smiles here at Ortega Orthodontics!

Lisa and her husband Ron have two daughters named Alyssa and Michelle, as well as two grandchildren. Whenever she isnt busy at the orthodontic office, she enjoys camping, traveling, and hosting cook-outs with friends and family. In the past, she actually hiked to the top of the Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, which is an elevation of 8,839 feet!

Cameron is a Jacksonville native and one of the newest members of Dr. Hollands team. Amazingly enough, her mom and grandma worked for Dr. Hollands dad as dental assistants! Today, she strongly believes that she has the coolest boss and works for the best orthodontic team ever.

Cameron is the oldest of three siblings and enjoys hanging out with her entire family whenever possible, especially her mom. When she isnt busy at the practice, you can often find her scarfing down some Chick-Fil-A.

Anna attended the dental assistant program at FSCJ for her education. Today, she is an Expanded Duties Assistant with advanced training in CPR, OSHA, X-rays, and orthodontics. She loves being part of the wonderful team here at Ortega Orthodontics and working for such a great boss!

Anna was born in Puerto Rico but considers Jacksonville her home. She has a very fun (and slightly crazy) family. In her spare time away from work, she enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend and nephew, going to the beach, hunting, and fishing.

Jessica hails from Miami, and she attended the Fortis Institute for her dental training. She is an Expanded Duties Assistant and has her certifications in X-rays, orthodontic care, OSHA, and CPR. Today, her career spans almost a decade, and she first joined our team in May of 2017. She thinks that being able to help people feel good about themselves through orthodontic care and make their smiles more beautiful is the best part of the position for sure.

Jessica is the proud wife of Chandler and the happy mommy of a young son named Declan. When she has free time outside of Ortega Orthodontics, you can find her often going to the beach, painting, refurbishing furniture, fishing, and spending quality time with her family. Shes actually never been on an airplane in her life!

Lyndsay joined the Ortega Orthodontics team in September of 2017. Before that, she was actually a patient of Dr. Hollands! After having her smile transformed, she knew right away that she wanted to help others go through the same wonderful transformation. She is CPR-certified and has experience with special needs children as well.

Lyndsay comes from a faithful and caring family that contains lots of first responders. Her hobbies include fishing, playing tennis, hunting, traveling, and practicing photography. In the past, shes had the amazing opportunity to travel to Haiti four different times on mission trips. Shes taught children how to brush their teeth, help with malnourished babies, and tell the Haitian people about Jesus. It was truly a lifechanging experience!
