Dr. Joseph Larsen grew up in a large family who loved spending time exploring the outdoors throughout the wonderful state of Utah. He grew up in Salt Lake City and was is the second of eight children. Some of his favorite childhood memories are centered on the backpacking trips he experienced. Dr. Larsen was actively involved in the Boy Scouts, earning his Eagle Scout rank and learned leadership skills throughout the process of earning this prestigious level. His love for outdoor adventure has continued with Dr. Larsen into adulthood. He has been able to have his own exciting experiences such as white water rafting as a Scoutmaster surrounded by young men who are looking to him as an example.
When Dr. Larsen was growing up he had many positive experiences with his childhood dentist and orthodontist. Those experiences inspired him to go into dentistry. As a focused and determined student, Dr. Larsen was driven to do his very best and was successful at making the very most of his experience at the renowned Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Larsen is married with five children. He enjoys being a father, always looking forward to the hugs from his kids when he walks in the door from work.
Spending time with family is his greatest joy. If he is not spending time with all of his children and his wife, Dr. Larsen can be found outside enjoying some fly-fishing or maybe a nice game of golf. He enjoys outdoor photography and capturing wonderful images from hiking and camping trips with his family.
Dr. Jyoti Farwaha was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and moved with her family to New Jersey when she was 16. Having able to train and obtain her Dental Medicine Degree at the prestigious Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey was an advantage being close to home and her family. She then pursued advanced training at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to gain further experience in the field of general dentistry. At the completion of her training, she moved to San Francisco, California to be with her husband while he was training as a surgeon. She practiced in the Mission and Financial districts, creating strong relationships with her patients and garnering valuable experience in adult general and cosmetic dentistry. After 5 wonderful years living in downtown San Francisco and enjoying the variety of food the city had to offer, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee and grew to love good old country music. She worked predominantly with children serving dental care for the underprivileged community.
Throughout her career, she has gained a broad and diverse clinical background from working with various patient populations in different practice settings. This experience allows her to achieve efficient, effective results for her patients.She believes the most important factor in achieving successful outcomes is communication so she works hard to ensure her patients have a clear understanding of the diagnosis and treatment plan. She works hard to educate and counsel her patients because she believes that awareness of our dental health can prevent future problems. She creates individualized treatment plans for her patients, and she will discuss in detail the pros and cons of each option. Dr. Farwaha never stops learning and stays up to date with the current literature and technology by taking courses. This allows her to offer her patients the most progressive care to maximize successful outcomes. Dr. Farwaha has been awarded the distinction of Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and is pursuing her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Being new to Tucson, she is acclimating well to Arizona and enjoying the scenic views and sunsets. Her hobbies include watching tennis, enjoying hiking on the weekends, traveling and especially spending time with her family. She and her husband recently welcomed a baby boy, and they are enjoying the joys of parenthood.
I moved to Tucson in the fall of 2017 from The Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. I have been working in the dental field since 1999 and have loved every minute! From working with the patients, working with finances, insurance and overall health I truly found a forever home in the world of Dentistry. On weekends I spend my time watching sports, riding quads and hiking with Moose Dog!
I was born and raised here in Tucson. I graduated high school in 2004 from CDO and Dental assisting school in 2006. I absolutely love my job and the people I work with. I feel very blessed. I have a daughter she is 8. She definitely keeps me going each and every day. I enjoy being outdoors especially during fall. I also enjoy running and going to the gym. I love spending time with my family and friends, having new adventures and making memories with them.
I was born and raised in Mexico. I moved here to Tucson with my husband and I studied and became a dental assistant 2 years ago. Working as a dental assistant has given me much joy, especially when I see how happy patients can be with a new smile! I love to exercise, spend time with friends on the weekends, and go to Mexico to visit my family and obviously eat some tacos!
I am a Tucson native with 2 amazing kiddos! I graduated from Pima Community College in 2015 with my Associates in Dental Hygiene and started to work! My passion for others smiles and overall oral health is what led me to pursue the dental field. After work I love going to the gym, being outdoors and doing various activities with my kids. I am so happy to have found my forever home here at Oro Valley Dental Arts!
Moved here from Michigan in June of 2020. I live with my husband and our newest addition Scooby! I have been working in the dental field since 2014. I absolutely love engaging with our patients and educating them on oral healthcare! On the weekends you can always find me in the kitchen baking or getting creative.
I have been a dental hygienist for 20 years. Before getting my hygiene degree in 2001 I worked in dental offices as a chairside assistant and office administrator. As a hygienist, I enjoy working with patients in achieving their individual health goals. I like to share knowledge and partner with them to implement skills and tools to use at home for optimal results. When I am not working I enjoy camping and spending time outdoors with my husband of over 30 years and our Golden Retriever. When possible, I like to go to Glendale for an Arizona Cardinal home game each year.

I've had my teeth cleaned several times by Courtney Ingram, RDH. She's easy to talk to, relaxed, professional and courteous. Her cleanings have been both gentle and through in taking care of my teeth. I'm grateful for the work she does and grateful that both dentists take time to explain treatment plans in detail. I've been coming for three years now and wouldn't want any other dentist. I have been going to Dr. Larsen for almost 16 years and i wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff is excellent, professional, courteous, friendly and helpful. **Courtney is my girl she knows my anxiety and does a great job with my cleaning. Nichole is ALWAYS right there to greet me when I arrive, she's got me covered and makes sure all is good in the world from beginning to end. I always leave with a smile on my face. Even on a day like today, where I had to have some work done (painlessly - I might add) I left laughing. Also, Natalie help with the laughing, since I hadn't had a cavity in 20 years, she reassured me and kept me calm. :-). Then walked me out with a pleasant conversation. It's always sunny and warm at Oro Valley Dental Arts.

I found my new "Happy Place" at Oro Valley Dental Arts. Dr. Farwaha and staff are awesome! My Dental Hygienist, Courtney, was so gentle, thorough, professional, and "Practically Perfect" in every way . Ana, Dr. Farwaha Dental Assistant was so reassuring and made all my fears disappear. That's incredible for a Dentist's Office. PASS THE WORD ON....this will become your "Happy Place" too!

Like many who have had not so great experiences with dentistry, it's challenging and nerve wracking to find a practice where you feel like you're genuinely being listened to and cared for in a professional manner. Leesie Campuzano did an amazing job with the comprehensive exams and cleaning. Her confident and compassionate demeanor put me at ease. Dr Larsen was also incredibly professional and personable which further put me at ease. And the office staff were so warm and friendly. I go to Dr. Larsen's office for my annual checkups. Courtney, the hygenist, always does an excellent job cleaning and inspecting my teeth. I also had a night guard made since I grind my teeth in my sleep. One of the assistants, Natalie, helped scan, order and fit the guard. It fits well and I haven't had any issues with it.

Oro Valley does a great job and my family has been extremely pleased with both the dental staff (Dr. Larsen, dental assistants and hygenists - Leesie) and the front office staff (Tiffany has always been accurate and very professional with estimates, billing and scheduling). It is a relief to have found a dental office that is competent and extremely friendly. They do make you feel like you are in good hands on every level.

I really liked how Dr. Larsen was able to replace my filling with no anesthetic by using the laser. I had no pain either The assistant Ana was really good as well. And I also wanted to mention how great my hygienist Courtney is!

Courtney I. is an exceptional dental hygienist. She has a great attention for detail. I love when I come for my cleanings that she remembers who I am and engages with me. She provides excellent dental care and goes above and beyond to provide education and helpful reminders. I highly recommend her.

After my lifetime dentist retired, I had a difficult time finding a dentist I liked. Then I found Oro Valley Dental Arts. The doctors are great, the hygienists are amazing, and the front office is super friendly. Dr. Larsen and Courtney were fantastic! They both made sure that I was comfortable and walked me through everything they were doing. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good dental experience!

Everyone at Oro Valley Dental Arts made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. This was the best experience I have had at a dentist office. I had two fillings and a crown and the dentist and staff listened to my concerns and fears and accommodated. The prices were reasonable too.

My family has been seeing Dr. Larsen for approximately 15 years. I went in today to have an old silver filing replaced. Dr. Larsen has been keeping an eye on it for a few years and it was time to replace it. This was my first time using the laser to remove a filing. It was amazing! No pain. Quick and easy. Best experience ever! I really appreciate Dr Larsens' approach to dental care and his current up to date equipment. The office staff are always incredibly helpful and patient especially Leah! Mahalo for all your care!

I highly recommend Oro Valley Dental Arts. I scheduled with Dr. Joe Larsen based on favorable reviews. He diagnosed the source of my pain, and over the past year extracted an abscessed tooth, performed a bone graft, and installed an implant. Every interaction with Dr. Larsen was a positive one. He is meticulous in his work and strives for the best possible outcome. He takes the time to explain things, and asks often about any discomfort during procedures. He even phoned after hours to check up on me after the somewhat involved extraction/graft. From the front office staff to the hygienist and dental assistants, everyone is a true professional and very friendly. They provide thorough responses to questions and never make you feel bad for asking. Communication is clear and reliable. And, OVDA is rare in that they seem to always run on time--which to me reflects just how highly they regard their patients.
