Dr. Orlando was born and raised in San Jose, California, he attended Santa Clara University graduating in 1979 with a degree in biology. He then went on to dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating in 1985 at the top of his class. In 1990 he joined the United States Navy as a dental officer and was stationed in Texas and Sardinia, Italy.
Moving to Redding in 1993, he opened a new practice and has been happily drilling ever since. Dr. Orlando has been married to his beautiful wife Lori since 1991. They have two daughters, one son, and one grandson. Dr. Orlando likes to spend his free time cycling, hunting, fishing and traveling.
Dr. Dan is a California native. He grew up in the East Bay, before attending the University of the Pacific in Stockton. He received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. He continued his studies and attended UOP School of Dentistry, one of the nations top dental schools. He graduated with honors and received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Dan enjoys everything about dentistry, but what he loves most is helping people and spreading smiles. I think the first time I discovered how much of an impact a dentist can really have on a persons life was when I went on my first mission trip, Dr. Dan explains, Ill never forget the good feeling I got from helping others, I think thats what brings me to the office each day!
Debbie is a Registered Dental Assistant who has worked with Dr. Orlando since 1999 and in the dental field since 1990. Debbie is the lead assistant in the back office and helps keep everything running smoothly. She and her husband, Scott, have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Away from the office she enjoys family time, reading, exercising, and the outdoors.
Jane has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1979. After taking some time off to raise 4 boys with her husband, Tracy; Jane entered back into the dental field in 1996. She has worked for Dr. Orlando since 2002 as the Scheduling Coordinator. Jane went back to school to get her Extended Function License so that she could assist Dr. Orlando with placing fillings, cementing crowns and taking final impressions. Jane is a grandma to two beautiful granddaughters. In her free time she likes to take long rides on her road bike, camp on the beach in Kauai, watch football, garden and read.
Kara is a Registered Dental Assistant who has worked with Dr. Orlando and Dr. Sorrick since 2015 and has been in the dental field since 2001. Kara has two grown children. Away from the office, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Jamie is a Registered Dental Assistant and has been working for Dr. Orlando and Dr. Sorrick since 2015. She genuinely enjoys working in the dental field and being able to connect with patients every day. She enjoys kayaking, snowboarding, baking, and crafting in her spare time. She is a lifelong resident of Shasta County and enjoys getting out and enjoying our beautiful mountains, lakes and trails as often as possible, usually in the form of walking with her boyfriend and their two dogs.
Lindsay has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2014 and has worked for Dr. Orlando and Dr. Sorrick since 2017. She loves working here because it is like her second family! When she isn't at work she is spending time with her son and fiance doing anything outdoors.
Lisa has worked in the dental field since 2004. She enjoys working with the patients and offering them a positive experience when stepping into our office. She has lived in Shasta County since 1960. She met her husband in 1979 and they married in 1980. They have 2 daughters and one son, one granddaughter and two grandsons (all the loves of their lives). Her family is her pleasure and drive to all she does in her daily life.
Tami has lived in Shasta County for most of her life, and has been working in the dental field since 2000. She has two daughters, one lives in San Diego going to college, the other has joined the Peace Corps and is now swinging from trees in Zambia, Africa. In her spare time, Tami enjoys reading, jumping out of airplanes, and traveling as much as possible.
Robyn has been in the dental industry for over 25 years. She started working for Dr. Orlando and Dr. Sorrick in September 2015 and loves working in 'this great dental office.' She has lived in Redding most of her life. She is married with 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law and 6 wonderful grandchildren, which she enjoys spending time with as much as possible.
Gayleen received her Dental Hygiene license in 2004. She feels blessed to work in an office where the doctors have a great appreciation for both their staff and their patients. Gayleen and her husband, Matt, are soon to be empty nesters of their twin daughters and are looking forward to this next stage in their lives.
Aly has been working in the dentistry field since 1990. She began as a Chairside Assistant between semesters of college. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Texas in 1994. Since then, Aly has worked in many dental settings in Utah, Idaho and California. She met her husband, Rupert, in San Francisco and they now have four boys. After starting with Dr. Orlando in 2003, Aly followed her husband to Half Moon Bay for a job in 2006. In 2009, she and her family returned to Redding and luckily, Aly was able to come back to this wonderful office part-time. For fun, she likes to run, bike, cook and read.
Valerie feels grateful for being a part of such an amazing dental team at Dr. Orlando and Dr. Sorricks office. She grew up in Redding, went to Shasta High School and then Shasta Colleges Dental Hygiene program. She enjoys being outdoors, riding horses, crafting and spending time with her animals and fianc. One of the things she loves most about dentistry is being able to make a difference for her patients by helping them achieve a more healthy and beautiful smile through patient education and encouragement.
Having been in the dental industry since 2004, Nicci has had the privilege of meeting some amazing people, including her husband. He was a patient and she was lucky enough to be the Dental Assistant helping with his case that day. They were engaged months after dating and have been married since 2010,and have two beautiful boys. Nicci enjoys camping, baseball games and quality family time. Nicci became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2015 and loves doing what she does. Being able to educate and empower people about their oral health is very rewarding and fun! She looks forward to new opportunities to grow professionally and personally for the betterment of her career and patients.
Ashley was born and raised in Redding and feels so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful office since March 2017. She graduated from Shasta College Dental Hygiene Program in 2010. She met her husband at Foothill High School and moved down to the greater Sacramento area after graduating Hygiene School. They were blessed to be able to move back to Redding in 2014 and now have a two-year-old daughter. Ashley loves the outdoors, from four wheeling to hiking and being on the lake during the summer.
