Dr. Nathaniel Rood completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry at Millikin University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Illinois College of Dentistry at Chicago. Dr. Rood became the proud owner of Orland Smiles in 2012. Throughout the years he has taken an abundance of continuing education courses in all aspects of general dentistry. These include, but not limited to; Pediatrics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Periodontitcs, cosmetic treatment, and dental implant restoration. Dr. Rood enjoys playing classical piano, strumming jazz/blues guitar, and golfing. He resides in Tinley Park with his wife Maria and trusted family dog Ella.
Kim has been in healthcare for over 20 years, the last 14 in dentistry! She enjoys working with patients to help them achieve their dental treatment goals. Kim resides in Tinley Park with her husband and helps care for her WWII Veteran father and her in-laws.
Cheryl earned her degree in dental hygiene from Northwestern University in Chicago. Her goal is to provide gentle yet thorough cleanings, as well as educating patients on the importance of oral hygiene. She enjoys life especially while relaxing by the lake and volunteering.

Dr. Rood and staff are out standing. As someone that is not a big fan of the dentist Dr. Rood is great makes you comfortable and plenty numb. I appreciate his professionalism and his staff of great people.

Everyone is very personable. I love they do not try to Get you to do services that are not needed. They only suggest what is best for dental health!

Orland Smiles office is conveniently located with a welcoming atmosphere and a kind, friendly staff. Kim helped with making appointments and my insurance. Cheryl provided a thorough cleaning of my teeth while making sure I was comfortable throughout. Dr. Rood's exam was complete and he made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Rood and his staff.

I went to a dentist who said that my crowns would cost $8000. Dr Rood did my crowns for half the price and I think he did a better job!!!! He did a beautiful job. I would definitely go to him. His office staff is wonderful also. I think Kim is the best

Love this dental office. It is clean. There is a super cool well maintained fish tank for the kids. The staff is super friendly and professional. The office runs on time, and the dentist is an expert.

I had a root canal, cavities filled and many cleanings. Everything is always top notch! Always a great experience. My family and I will continue to go Orland Smiles! The staff is fantastic and they really do treat you like family! Dr Rood is da man!
