Dr. R. Bruce Howell is an honors graduate ofBYUandUniversity of Washington School of Dentistrywhere he received first-rate training in all aspects of general dentistry. After completing his degree, Dr. Howell decided to specialize in Pediatrics at theUniversity of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey.
Through a combination of exceptional care, sensible treatment plans, and genuine devotion to the unique needs of each patient, Dr. Howell preserves healthy teeth and gums, alleviates oral discomfort, and improves the appearance of smiles on a daily basis. He has applied his unique blend of artistic and technical skills to produce durable and aesthetic results in thousands of patients.
Our office provides the ideal setting for your child to get the care they need in a positive and fun way. We educate every patient on the importance of oral hygiene and teach them how to properly brush and floss by using handheld mirrors and our fabulous helper, George the Monkey. Our friendly dental team have been specially trained to work with children. We will assist you with any questions you might have, and will provide the best service for you and your child.

Dr. Howell and his team are always welcoming and accommodating to our three children. My eldest son has ADHD and my middle son is on the Autism spectrum and Dr. Howell has always been so patient, loving and understanding with them. His staff is well trained and work well together like a well oiled machine. They are warm, and I always feel like family when I walk in because they know us so well and call us by name. We have been going to see Dr. Howell now for 2 years and a few of our kids are cavity free because of the quality of care and the recommendations given by Doctor Howell!! From this family for sure!!

I took my very anxious 2 year old and I was so impressed with the staff and the facility. My son still cried a lot (not the staff's fault at all!!) The staff was so patient with him and it made me feel better about taking him in. I'm really happy to continue to take my children here!

I bring my 5 year old daughter and my 4 year old son here. Dr Howell is a great dentist that really does care about each of his little patients. His staff is friendly, helpful and on top of it. Kim the receptionist is always on top of things and today we had faith who took pictures of the kids and cleaned their teeth for them. she was wonderful!

I love that they are open on 1 Saturday a month. That is so helpful for a working parents. 6 month dental check up for my 4 year old. My kids actually are excited to go to the dentist. My son was so proud to be cavity free and get his picture taken and put on the wall for kingdom of no cavities. We live everyone here so kind and so much fun. They really give you all your options even when you have children that need more accommodation like my oldest. Older review but still relevant, I have three sons. My oldest struggles with multiple health conditions one being high functioning autism. We weighed all our options and Dr.Howell suggested putting him under. So glad we did that. He ended up needing two crowns and some cavities filled. He loves his new silver teeth. ;) finding the positive in teeth gone bad. My other son loves his cleaning and asks when he can go back. Third son will soon go here. The staff is super friendly and they do offer reasonable payment plans for the dental services. I wish they had the option for the anesthesia that's the only improvement I can think of. My sons was below a certain amount so that was nice. Thanks Dr.Howell and staff. I feel so up to date on my kids oral health now.

We LOVE Dr.Howell and all his assistance. We have 3 boys who are all under 3. Dr. Howell is the FIRST and ONLY dentist we will see! He's so kind, patient, efficient and always creates a fun environment. My kids can run around the office and I don't feel uncomfortable. Everyone is so sweet to us. HIGHLY RECOMEND HIM!!

Dr. Howell was very patient and informative with and about my kid's dental exam. He made us all feel comfortable and respected. His staff is also very kind and patient with my kids and I! I'm happy to have chose this pediatric dentist for my children! Thank you all for your kindness and explaining things in detail to where we feel comfortable and knowledgeable on procedures, exams, cleanings etc.

We have been going to these guys for a couple years now and they are still great as ever. Today we had a beautiful assistant named Berlinda . She was so especially gentle with our kids. Our youngest had a harder time, but Berlinda didnt rush her. She remained calm and patient which helped my little one to loosen up. Dr. Howell is awesome too. You can tell he has been doing this a long time. He is quick and to the point.

Everything about Dr Howell and Orem Pediatric Dentistry is incredible! It is a fun and engaging office environment that helps my daughter feel excited and comfortable at the same time. The the care and attention they give my daughter has been everything I could hope for! I highly recommend them!

Today was the third time taking my son to this dentist. Super good staffing and professional. My son wasn't uncomfortable at all and he felt he could trust the staff! New Post 8/22, Our son had a wonderful time at the dentist, Every 6 months he gets so excited to come to the dentist. The staff are wonderful and I highly recommend Orem Pediatric Dentistry!

Doctor was condescending and rude. He made me feel stupid for bringing my daughter in for a consult. The assistant helped explain things way better than the actual dentist and was so much nicer than him. He didn't validate any concerns and again made me feel stupid for coming in at all even though I was told to get a consult by my pediatrician and a trusted SLP. Would not recommend.

Everyone here is friendly and helpful. My kids feel so comfortable here that we keep coming even though we've moved and now have a 30 min drive. Dr Howe is amazing really emphasizes preventative care.

All the nurses and the dentist here take such good care of my child. They make sure my son feels comfortable during all the procedures, explain what they're doing to help him not be nervous, and make going to the dentist a positive experience. They also explain everything with us as parents to help us weigh options.

Dr Howell does his very best for the care of your children. He knows the dentist can be a scary place. Dr Howell will call the evening post-op to check in and see how my kids are doing!!! Have you ever received service like that from a doctor? I have never before and since Dr Howell!!!!!! Thank you Dr. Howell for being an excellent dentist!
