Dr. James Call was born and raised on a farm in Star Valley, Wyoming. He spent many hours taking care of farm animals, hauling hay, building apartments, driving large construction vehicles, fixing almost anything that was broken, and working at his dad’s lumber yard and cement plant. He did find a little time to play a little too. He enjoyed restoring and owning antique cars, hunting almost anything, fishing, riding motorcycles, hiking, camping, skiing, sports and snowmobiling. n nWhen he was 19 years old, he served a two-year LDS mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina. While he was serving, he became friends with a lot of people that suffered from severe dental pain. Many of his friends had limited finances and no access to quality dental care. He felt bad that he couldn’t help them and decided that he wanted to become a dentist to help others to avoid suffering like his friends had suffered. n nAfter his mission, he graduated from BYU with a B.S. degree in Zoology and from Oregon Health Sciences University with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. He was honored 3 years in a row for holding the number 1 rank in his dental class. He graduated with high honors and was inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He received the top awards in his class for the Oral Pathology and Periodontology specialties. He’s a member of the Provo District Dental Society, the Utah Dental Association, and the American dental Association. He does many hours of continuing education every year and strives every day to be better at everything he does. n nOver the past 24 years, he’s treated patients of all ages and backgrounds. He has treated many very complex cases and loves to help patients to overcome their dental anxieties and fears from their past dental experiences. He has mastered special techniques that enable him to deliver painless dental anesthesia and extraordinary dentistry. He always gives his full attention to your comfort and to every fine detail of everything he does for your mouth. He is a perfectionist. You will feel how much he cares about you and your dental health when he treats you and your family. n nWhen he’s not treating patients, he loves being with his wife Sandy and their four children. They have two boys and two girls. His oldest son is attending UNC dental school and two children are at BYU and his youngest is a senior at PG High School. He enjoys running, collecting and restoring antique motorcycles, fishing, skiing, hiking, camping, boating, landscaping, and serving in his church and community

A wonderful place! I could not say enough about Dr. Call and his wonderful staff! Dr. Call likes to give his patients options, and does not coerce them into any thing that he doesn't think is absolutely necessary. He is quick, efficient, and his staff works extremely well and together they form a well choreographed dance!

Dr. Call is the best dentist I've ever had! He's very knowledgeable & knows what he's doing. He's conscious about cost & gives as many options as he can. His work lasts & he's easy to ask questions too. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His staff is awesome as well!!!

Dr. Call is a phenomenal dentist. I found him after having some very bad work done by another dentist and he was able to fix the problems for me which was a huge relief. A neighbor of mine assured me that he is the absolute best and I found out that she was right. He is careful, precise, very knowledgeable and skilled, and a kind, honest, and genuine individual. I completely trust him with all of my family's dental needs. His staff is wonderful to work with; I have had a great experience and would recommend Dr. Call hands down to anyone looking for the best possible dentist around.

I have been going to Dr Call for about 4 years now and I can say he is hands down the best dentist I have ever had. I've kept coming back to him even though I've moved out of state I like him so much. I had some pretty serious dental work done after breaking a few teeth and he not only fixed them but made them look flawless. It gave me a lot more confidence in my smile. And at a very reasonable price as well. Could be some of the best money I've spent. I will also say that all of the staff and hygienists I've met with have been amazing. Can't recommend Orem Family Dental enough!

When my mom first came to Utah, I was so worried about finding a dentist that she would like as much as the one in her hometown. I spent hours combing Google reviews and asking friends before I finally settled on Dr. Call with Orem Family Dental. We've been nothing but impressed with both the doctor himself and the wonderful staff. A problem with our personal insurance kept my family from coming to him, but I'd switch in a heartbeat if we could be covered! The office is comfortable and accommodating with a fun area for kids, and the staff is quick to put even the most nervous patients at ease. Dr. Call is wonderfully solutions oriented and works diligently to find the best, longest-lasting and most affordable solutions for his patients. As someone who doesn't love going to the dentist, I 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Call is extremely knowledgeable. He's caught a lot of things before they've turned into worse problems but I never feel like he's performing unnecessary procedures. Very warm staff and friendly environment.

James is great with our kids. He takes time to do the dental work right. He is thorough. He has helped solve problems that other dentists have caused by taking shortcuts. His office staff are so friendly and very helpful with any questions I have about the dental work or insurance.

Dr. Call was very accommodating and wanted to be sure that I was as comfortable as possible and that he was able to do everything he could to relieve the pain I was experiencing. His office was great and found the specialist that I needed to do what I needed in a timely fashion. To be able to loose tooth aches pain is one of the great pleasures one can experience in life. The contrast is amazing.

Dr. Call is the best he is so kind and really cares! The office is always so nice and willing to help you with the scheduling and billing. The dental hygienist is the nicest. I have nothings negative to say they are the best! I will be going to their office forever.

Dr. Call was awesome! I had the best experience filling my cavities and getting some work corrected from another dentist. He explained everything he was doing and always made sure I was comfortable. The staff was great too. They made sure to fit me in and were always so pleasant. Glad I found Orem Family Dental!

My son recommended Dr. Call and am I glad he did. I have had experience with many dentists over the years and he is indeed the best. The staff is great and really work with you with your insurance. Dr. Call is very conscientious, to put it mildly. The work he did for me was extensive and was laid out like a careful military strategy, covering 4 years to take full advantage of the insurance coverage. It included implants, root canals, crowns, and fillings. He usually offered 3 alternate solutions to each problem and we would discuss the pros and cons of each. Ultimately I would defer to his judgement, and he did not necessarily pick the most expensive route, but the one he felt would be the best solution for me. That was about 5 years ago and his work has held up beautifully! Meanwhile, our insurance coverage changed and we were no longer covered by a plan which Dr. Call's office accepted, so we are changing our plan so we can get back to him. The investment in our teeth is a big deal both financially and for quality of life and Dr. Call offers the best return for the lowest risk.
