Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

They are lifesavers! Visiting from out of town for a week and a half and I didn't have my retainer, and they were able to take impressions and create my retainers all within three hours on a Friday afternoon. Great customer service and very helpful! I highly recommend them to locals or anybody in a pinch visiting!

Oregon Family Orthodontics stand out above the rest. With friendly staff who kindly greet you when you walk in, to the extremely clean office that is cutely decorated. His friendly assistant spent time getting to know my son which was wonderful. This was all before we even saw the orthodontist. The Dr. was extremely friendly and put my son at ease. We were there for a second opinion on braces. The entire process was quick, fun and we left feeling 100% comfortable giving them our business and money. I highly recommend Adam Ward, DMD, MS above all orthodontist in town. I am so glad I took the time for a second opinion and even more that I found this office. They are THE BEST!!!

Dr. Ward, Beth, and Keasha have been nothing shy of fantastic! My daughter and I both have had an excellent experience with her getting (and soon removing!) her braces. Kaesha has always been a kind and welcoming presence whether she is working the desk or assisting patients! Beth has always made us feel like we are among a friend. Beth has gotten to know my daughter and I both as people, not just a patient. She not only asks questions, but remembers what the answer was! My daughter and I both look forward to seeing Beth. Now Dr. Ward. He has made my daughter feel comfortable and cared for every time we are in. Like Beth and Kaesha, Dr.Ward has made us feel that he genuinely cares when we are in. All that said, they are a very professional and experienced team. We all know bedside manner matters, but not without positive results! Dr. Ward has been tough and set standards for my daughter to ensure that her end results are flawless. Emphasizing brushing, keeping her teeth clean, and using her bands. My daughter will have clean, stain-free, straight teeth, as the team has ensured that her Orthodontia care is as excellent as their bedside (chair side?) manner. I would recommend this team to anyone looking to straighten up their smile! I am grateful for both the level of care and service that this team has given to my family.

Absolutely amazing. When I brought my daughter here to start the process of braces, I never imagined how amazing her teeth would look. The staff and Dr. West are so amazing, professional, and super nice. I would definitely recommend Oregon Family Orthodontics to anyone.
