I absolutely love this place. They are so sweet and joke around with me. Its overall a great atmosphere. They also were so nice about the fact that i literally lost my retainer 3 times.

Be prepared to file your own insurance claims after the initial braces and plastic retainers break because they will not do it for you. So much for continued care and a lifelong service provider that you can trust.

Dr. Brent Wood shaved and drilled into multiple of my healthy teeth after braces without obtaining my informed verbal consent. I have since been suffering from constant, excruciating teeth pain, scratched, worn, chipped teeth, and an inflamed periodontal ligament since this happened. Severe tooth pain and sensitivity in all my teeth, that I've never had before until this incident happened. My teeth will never be the same because of what Dr. Brent Wood did to me. He is causing me and my family thousands of dollars in damages and multiple of my teeth are going to need root canal treatments and crowns to fix the permanent destruction he made me suffer through, something I've never had to go through before until this happened. Dr. Brent Woods lack of professionalism, vague communication, and negligent behavior, has resulted in a permanent substantial impact on my quality of life forever. He performed a completely invasive, irreversible procedure, an occlusal equilibration on my teeth that I never agreed to be subjected to the day this had happened to me. Apparently, his reasoning for this was that my bite was "too strong", so he decided to drill into my teeth, removing my healthy enamel without a second thought of considering different options before going completely over-kill with an unnecessary occlusal equilibration. Dr. Brent Wood rushed me through this unknown procedure with no considerable planning, as if he could care less about the outcome of his treatment that he subjected me to. I went to his clinic specifically for a jaw pain issue already feeling vulnerable, and after the incident, left his clinic with a visibly shocking amount of tooth enamel drilled away, feeling like my teeth had been marred, choking on the leftover ash of my wasted tooth enamel scattered throughout my mouth and throat as a result of his occlusal equilibration. He was impatient, reckless, and didn't take the time to listen to my concerns regarding a jaw pain issue and instead immediately, hastily, took it upon himself to inflict this permanent procedure on my teeth. I was treated as if I wasn't even a human-being. It's disheartening to expect Dr. Brent Wood to have your best interests in mind, and it turns out to be quite the opposite. I was taken advantage of and violated beyond belief, due to his questionable decisions and actions. What happened to me was downright disturbing and traumatic, and there is absolutely no excuse as to how you can fail to communicate to your patients by not attempting to educate, inform, and obtain verbal consent before conducting such a procedure. I definitely would not have been treated like this anywhere else and being a patient of his is absolutely, entirely, the biggest regret of my life. As if that wasn't already unsettling enough, Dr. Brent Wood actually had the audacity to recommend doing another session of occlusal adjustments, after he had already confessed in front of me and his assistant, on his mistakes of not informing me before proceeding with the first occlusal equilibration. You have got to be kidding me. Completely unethical, embarrassing, and disgusting behavior. Oread Orthodontics was undeniably the most insufferable experience I've ever had. I have never, ever felt the need to leave such a review anywhere until my encounters with Dr. Brent Wood. When I feel mistreated and bullied around that is entirely unacceptable. Nobody deserves to be treated how I was at Oread Orthodontics. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Brent Wood to absolutely anyone who values their God-given, natural teeth, and their rights to bodily autonomy. Their is especially much more that happened to me during my entire nightmarish experience at Oread Orthodontics, including feeling like I'm being mocked, insulted, and disrespected by the scheduling coordinator, Vicki Brobst, for the entire situation. Thanks Dr. Brent Wood for being a coward and Vicki Brobst for being awful and making the entire experience at Oread Orthodontics horrifying.

Dr. Woods and his staff are amazing. From day one that the Dentist referred us to Oread Orthodontics We were treated like family. They are amazing people and my son will be forever grateful for his beautiful smile that he has now. Thank You Oread Ortho!! And dont worry they also help with financing.

Love Love Love the fact that even tho my ding ding daughter keeps somehow breaking a bracket they are super sweet every time she has to go back in to get it fixed! Now, mother isn't as friendly about it!! Everyone is super Friendly. I would highly recommend.

The best place to get braces in Topeka!! I tried to find a before picture, but I never smiled with my teeth out until I was 19 and had a beautiful smile thanks to the kind people at OREAD!
