My name is Dr. Sara Go Sugishita, known as Dr. Go by my patients. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and received my Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Anthropology from New York University in 2001. After college, I worked for a year as a dental assistant for my family dentist and fell in love with dentistry for its incorporation of both art and science. I then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston to receive my D.M.D. degree in 2006. Right after, I worked as an associate for two years in Boston at one of my dental instructors private practices. During that time, I met my soon to be husband who is from San Jose, and I made the decision to move out to California in 2009.
In Campbell, CA, I had the great fortune of meeting Dr. James Carter, who was retiring from his dental practice. I took over his partnership at Hughes Dental Group, where I had the greatest pleasure of caring for an amazing set of patients. It has been the best time meeting newly married couples, seeing their families expand, seeing kids grow and graduate and get jobs of their own, meeting the elderly of Campbell and San Jose who are so knowledgeable about the areas history, and the new young people who have come from out of state to achieve jobs in the high tech industry. After eight and a half years, I decided to move my location independently and form my current practice, Orchard City Dental Care.
Dr. Killough was born and raised in Virginia and received dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She then continued her studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, the highest honor achievable by a graduating student recognizing both scholarship and character. Following dental school, she pursued additional training through a residency program at the Washington D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center. It was a transformative experience and her true honor to support our nations veterans.
For the past several years, Dr. Killough has worked as a dentist in top-rated, family-oriented practices from the Washington DC Metro Area to the San Francisco Bay Area. She is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a relaxed environment. Beyond that, she enjoys educating her patients on the best options available to address their unique dental needs.
Dr. Killough is married to her college sweetheart and together they share a young son. She enjoys watching sports, perusing local farmers markets, going on hikes, and trying out new coffee shops and restaurants. As Office Manager, it is Ralucas goal to help make dental treatment workable for every patient according to their financial situation. She works in depth with insurance companies to maximize benefits, while providing a clear understanding of each patients insurance and financial plan.
As a patient coordinator, Yelena takes great responsibility in taking care of our patients even before they step foot through the door. From answering any questions, to scheduling and handling payments, each patient is treated as a star! Yelenas main goal is to make sure the patient is happy and comfortable before they are seen by the doctor.
Aside from work, Yelena is a full-time student studying business and marketing. She enjoys dancing, traveling, hiking, working out and trying new food. When not reading a good book, she loves to watch the Warriors and the 49ers.
Laura has been Dr. Gos assistant for about 10 years. Patients always comment how well Laura and Dr. Go almost work telepathically together! Patients appreciate her encouragement and empathetic care. She loves getting to know patients and their lives.
Melissa enjoys being a dental assistant to both Dr. Go and Dr. Sun. She loves working with patients and making sure they are always comfortable. Outside of work, Melissa is a busy mom of 3 boys. She spends time with her family going camping, and snowboarding. Their favorite place to visit is Disneyland.
Christine enjoys working alongside Dr. Go as an assistant. She always has a positive attitude and is a light in the office. She puts her patients at ease with her warmth and friendliness. She is currently going to school to become a registered dental hygienist.
Crystal has lived in San Jose her whole life. She is a dedicated health care professional with a passion for promoting optimal oral health. She enjoys educating patients about personal dental care and hygiene. She also enjoys showing patients that getting a teeth cleaning at a dental office can be comfortable, and at the same time, thorough!
Trina was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to San Jose where she graduated from Foothill College with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys connecting with her patients and helping them achieve oral health.
Lori has worked with Dr. Go as a hygienist for about 10 years. She is meticulous about maintaining oral health for each patient. Lori loves to educate patients and thrives on making a difference in patients lives. One of the things Lori loves the most is getting to know patients and seeing them again on a periodic basis.
