Daniel R. West, DMD Dr. Daniel West was born and raised in Orangeburg, SC, and is excited to be back home serving his community. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Wofford College before graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in 2012. Dr. West attends monthly continuing education meetings as well as national conferences 2-3 times a year, studying topics such as implants and cosmetic dentistry. He has also completed a Synergy Training Program at the Institute for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry.
Our dentist is a member of the America Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and South Carolina Academy of Advanced Implant Studies. Dr. West is also a past President and current Vice President of the Edisto Dental Society. He has received awards from the Academy of General Dentistry, Excellence in Prosthodontics, and has been inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society.
Dr. West seeks to treat his patients just like he would his own family. By staying up to date with all recent dental advancements, he provides comprehensive care to the entire family, placing an emphasis on building relationships with his patients. In his spare time, Dr. West enjoys staying active by running, biking, paddleboarding, golfing and spending time at the gym. Dr. West is also active in his community, coaching youth sports and attending the Cornerstone Church.

It's been awhile, I hate to admit, since I'd seen a dentist. I came in on an emergency basis after an accident. They got me in the same day I called. Extremely through and knowledgeable. We were able to set up a long term, affordable plan that will get my dental needs back in track. Dr. West and the entire staff were just wonderful. Very blessed to have them as my dental team.

I see Dr. West, he is very polite with a great bedside manner. Each nurse is awesome and very kindhearted. Dr. West is excellent with adults as well as children. When it comes down to looking for a great dentist for you and your family I highly recommend Dr. West at Orangeburg Dental Associates.

Everyone was very nice. This was my first visit. Dr. West and Amy were very friendly and thorough with their exam. They explained everything well. I'm happy with my decision to switch to their office.

I always hated going to the dentist until I started seeing Dr. West several years ago. The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and I never feel stressed going to the dentist anymore. It's ALMOST enjoyable haha. They're honest and professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

This is an outstanding dental office! Dr. Wes and the staff at this office are true professionals. I had four procedures done in one day and I felt very good after these procedures. No swelling and I had very little pain after the medication had wore off. I'm very glad I found this office. I will be using them in the future for all my dental needs. My cap fell off right before my appointment. Dr. Sam was able to put the cap back on Without putting his finger in my mouth for a while. Thankful he gave me a break since I didn't have insurance this time. I was very satisfied and was able to eat afterwards. I have been seeing him since Dr. Lanham left town. Always a nice staff. Glad Lucy still there, always like seeing her too. A great place to go for dental work, close to home, easy to get appointments.
