Dr. Thakkar received his bachelors degree in Computer Science from Chicago, Illinois in 2005. He then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his senior year of dental school, he was honored to serve the veterans at the VA hospital in Togus, Maine. He graduated from dental school in 2009 and had an opportunity to help the underserved population in the south of Chicago for two years. He finally deiced to move to Texas in 2011 because he fell in love with the warm weather and warm-hearted people of Texas.
Dr. Thakkar has been practicing dentistry for over seven years and is committed to keeping up with the latest advances in modern dentistry. He completes many times the required number of continuing education hours every year. He genuinely believes every patient should be treated as one of his family members. He is passionate about dentistry and loves helping his patients improve their smiles and quality of life. Dr. Thakkar is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Texas Dental Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and son, Yash when he is away from doing dentistry.

Today was that dreadful day of dentist visit for me and my kiddos. My oldest does just fine, it's always an easy visit. My youngest is terrified of pretty much everything. She has refused to get her x-ray pictures done for the past FOUR dentist visits. Well, today we had the chance to work with a dental assistant by the name of Ashley. I can not describe in words the great experience she created for the kids especially my youngest. She showed her the x-ray machines. She let her feel and hold the machine. She even allowed her to assist with taking pictures for her sister. After such a long time of trying, we were able to take some picture of her teeth. Though not very successful,we at least got her comfortable enough to open up her mouth. I'm so thankful for the patience of the entire staff. I highly recommend this location,especially with kids who have a hard time visiting the dentist. Thank you again from all of us

I brought my son and daughter in today for a visit and Ashley was so amazing!! She made my children for so comfortable was so attentive to both of them the entire visit! Ashley explained everything she was doing for them before doing it, so that they felt safe! We had an all around amazing visit today at Orange Family Smiles! This is definitely our new dental home. Of course the rest of the staff and Dr. Mills were just as kind and helpful too!!

Every person(staff) at the office we're wonderful in communication and helpful in understanding what was expected from us and what the Doctor was needing to get our teeth back in order. Very personal and helpful in every way. We never felt uncomfortable in any way...only like part of the group or family. Great group of people.

One second my insurance is taken. The next second it is not. My niece goes to this facility who has the same exact insurance. I think the person I spoke with doesn't know what she's talking about. Oh, and use proper punctuation and grammar when communicating with patients via text message!
