Dr. Tomkoria is a diplomate of the American board of Endodontics who received her predoctoral training in Biology at the University of California in Irvine and later added additional studies in business at Pepperdine University in Malibu. She subsequently graduated from Columbia University School of Dentistry in 2000, with her degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery.
After graduating from Dental School, Dr. Tomkoria went though a General Practice residency with University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Medical Center and worked with a number of non-profit community outreach programs in Los Angeles including the Union Rescue Mission. In 2001, Dr. Tomkoria moved to the private sector and practiced as a general dentist. During this time, she continued providing assistance to the under served.
In 2008, Dr. Tomkoria returned to USC as a resident Endodontist in the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry where she trained under the tutelage of endodontic founding fathers Dr. Wayne Bemis and Dr. James Simon. During this time, she provided key Endodontic research as well as published papers in endodontic journals with canal irrigation techniques, as well as tooth morphology / anatomy. She was also involved in research related to bone grafting. During this time, Dr. Tomkoria received her permit in Conscious Sedation under Dr. Stanley Malamed to better serve apprehensive patients.
She is a professional member of various local and national dental organizations which include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Harbor Dental Society, and Orange County Society of Women Dentists. She is also a member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology as well as the California Society of Dental Anesthesiology. Dr. Tomkoria continues to be involved withUniversity of Southern California as a part-time faculty member in the Advanced EndodonticsDepartment.
On a personal note, Dr. Tomkoria (Anita) is the loving wife and mother of four children Kaylie, Cameron, Caiden and Conner. Anita enjoys jogging, walks on the beach and Gwertzmeiner Wine while watching the sun set.

went in 9:45 am for 10 am appointment. did not see the doctor till10:59 am. the receptionist told me 5 min waiting. no respect for patient's time.

Dr. Tomkoria, Jennifer and the rest of the staff are incredible. I've had 3 root canals done at this establishment and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The Dr. is so informative, personable, professional, is very skilled (i call her magic hands) and the equipment is all top notch. The chairs even offer a back massage while you are undergoing a procedure.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They took me in last minute and made me feel comfortable. They even followed up with me to make sure that I was feeling okay after my root canal. I highly recommend!

This past visit was my second treatment with Dr. Tomkuria at her centralized Orange, CA location. I cannot say enough about the superior quality of care, the expertise of the work done (2 root canals), and the excellent customer service I received on both occasions. Dr. Tomkuria and her staff are second to none. I highly recommend her and her team for simple and complex dental care! Also, her easy to get to location facilitated the dental services I needed. Thank you so much Dr. Tomkuria and staff!

I absolutely love Dr Tomkoria! She's so calm and nice really makes you feel at ease. Also, I personally love the office setting and the decor; Everything is very clean. The girls are super nice and attentive. Highly recommend.

I needed a root canal on an infected tooth. There was calcification between the surface of the tooth and the roots canals, and the endodontist at my regular dentist was not able to complete the process as it clearly required a higher level of equipment and expertise. As such I was subsequently referred to Dr. Tomkoria. The process was difficult and needed to be spread out over two visits. Dr. Tomkoria's expertise was evident throughout the process, as she not only successfully completed the work but saved my tooth from further damage as well. As a person with a long history of root canals and tooth extractions, I can say without reservation that Dr. Tomkoria is a highly skilled endodontist and I unconditionally recommend her for regular but especially for complex and difficult endodontic services.

This was absolutely the best root canal experience I have had! It was painless. The first thing I did after getting in my car was drink some water. I totally expected for it to dribble out of my mouth. It didn't! I also expected my face to be swollen and numb. It wasn't! I expected to have some soreness the next day. I didn't! I ate steak for dinner and chewed normally! I have had dribbling, a swollen and numb face, soreness and not been able to dinner from getting a crown from my denist. I highly recommend OME for any mouth surgery you may be in need of. The staff was friendly, kind, compassionate and efficient. Thank you OME for the great experience for a dreaded root canal.
