Dr. Thakkar received his bachelors degree in Computer Science from Chicago, Illinois in 2005. He then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his senior year of dental school, he was honored to serve the veterans at the VA hospital in Togus, Maine. He graduated from dental school in 2009 and had an opportunity to help the underserved population in the south of Chicago for two years. He finally deiced to move to Texas in 2011 because he fell in love with the warm weather and warm-hearted people of Texas.
Dr. Thakkar has been practicing dentistry for over seven years and is committed to keeping up with the latest advances in modern dentistry. He completes many times the required number of continuing education hours every year. He genuinely believes every patient should be treated as one of his family members. He is passionate about dentistry and loves helping his patients improve their smiles and quality of life. Dr. Thakkar is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Texas Dental Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and son, Yash when he is away from doing dentistry.

Dr. Bob is awesome. He's very friendly, remembers your name, & helps to keep you calm. He was quick and efficient as well. He also text & replied to ours after the procedure to check on us. My husband and I will definitely be going back.

Excellent service from the time I walked into the office until my procedure was finished. Dr. Bob Made sure I was comfortable and I didn't feel anything. His assistant put me at ease before my procedure started and told me what to expect...it didn't take him long and I was out the door, I could hear others and how well the other dentist's we're interacting with them, as I said they have an excellent way of care of their customers and the pricing for what I had done was affordable, which is a "GREAT" thing. On the weekend he messaged me to make sure I was still doing well, thanks Dr. Bob, I will come back again....

Dr Bob and his staff were great. They gave me expert advice on deciding the best plan on a tooth that I was just going to have pulled. They did a root canal instead, and I'm very satisfied with the outcome. I had been to 3 dentists in the past 2 months, and this is by far the best one, and the prices are very reasonable.

One of the best experiences my children could've had at a new dentist! The staff was so so so nice and accommodating to the fact me and my 2 boys had to be seen at once !! They went above and beyond for us to be comfortable.. even turning the TV on and found cartoons for my seven year old because he was getting restless ! My kids came out with smiles and so did I !

I am very impressed with the service at OFD. Dr. Ramirez called and checked on me throughout the weekend after my Root canal. He text me several times as well. As long as Dr. R is there I will continue to use this office. Thank you Dr. R for your concerns, generosity, and great work. I am well pleased in all areas of my visit.

I have been dealing with a toothache the past few days. Unfortunately it started Friday night and has been nonstop pain. I went in and my blood pressure was too high which is never an issue. Assuming it was caused by the feeling of death torture in my mouth. So they discussed that I would need to take some meds to help bring down the pain level and the crazy blood pressure. I asked if I could still get the numbing shot to help ease the pain. It was an amazing time while I was there. Can't wait to return and heave this tooth pulled from its home. Highly recommend to anyone needing some quick help.

3 visits and my SMILE is coming back. I suffer with dry mouth, BMS and OLP. The dryness has caused tooth loss and severe enamel erosion. For me, going to a dentist is embarrassing and anxiously overwhelming. All of my visits at Orange Family Dental have been wonderful. Dr. Bob has a pleasant manner and throughly explains your dental options. Most importantly his work performance is EXCELLENT. Thank you Dr. Bob, Autumn and Edgar.
