Dr. Zhang attended West China College of Stomatology from 1989 to 1994, where she received her Doctor of Dental Science. She then continued her education from 1996 to 2001, earning an MD and PhD specializing in OraI and Maxillary Facial Surgery. When Dr. Zhang came to the United States to continue her career in dentistry, she attended Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine from 2014 to 2016 where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). Dr. Zhang has been practicing dentistry for nearly 20 years, with 11 of those years specifically in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Zhang joined the Orange Dental Group in June of 2018. She brings extensive experience in general dentistry as well as in more complex oral surgery cases. She has years of success completing varied tooth restorations including amalgam and composite fillings, simple and surgical extractions, crowns and dentures. She also has experience in more specific areas such as root canals, crown lengthening, and implant supported crowns and implant supported dentures. She enjoys the challenge of providing quality conservative family dentistry in a comfortable and friendly environment.
Outside of her professional activities, Dr. Zhang enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She speaks Chinese fluently and enjoys introducing the office to new and different foods from her home country of China.
Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of New England, Portland, Maine in 2015 and she joined our practice later the same year. Amy exhibits a quiet confidence in her work, placing the patients needs first and making an extra effort to ensure those needs are met in a professional manner.
Amy is a native of the North Quabbin region, having grown up in New Salem and graduating from the Ralph C. Mahar Regional School. She is happy to be back and working in the community she was raised in. Outside of work, Amy can be found with a good book, enjoying the outdoors around her home, or spending time with friends and family.
Julie is a 1997 graduate of the Quinsigamond Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She has been with Athol Dental Associates since 2005. Julie has experience with all ages as well as with special needs patients. With her easy-going, calm personality, her focus is to put patients at ease and take the time to explain each patients treatment needs. In her spare time Julie enjoys being with her children and family.
Dr. Stowell is a native of Massachusetts and a graduate of Tufts University. He served as a Naval Lieutenant in the early 1970s. He has served on the active staffs of Winchendon Hospital, Henry Heywood Hospital, and Athol Memorial Hospital. He was a Selectman for the Town of Royalston for seventeen years. He has acted as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hospital Cottages for Children, Templeton, MA; President of the Baldwinville Nursing Home; Trustee of New Salem Academy; an elected member of the Republican State Committee and President of the Mount Grace Dental Specialist, Inc. of Athol, MA.

It's been a while since I've gone to see the dentist... I went the other day and I had Amy for the dental asst and she was absolutely amazing! She was calm, low toned, very informative, kind and you could tell she cared! The dentist was of course amazing as well! He's the owner and it's great to have such a caring office for our community!! My kids go to his office in Gardner tok and they are just as amazing!!

Seemed like they knew what they were doing and had a whole plan in place and just stopped taking my mass health out of nowhere. Masshealth said they didn't have to do that. So basically in the middle of getting all this work done I have to stop and start the entire process over with another dentist. Super frustrating. Honestly they do a good job but no better than anywhere else. I wouldn't waste your time going there because you never know they might just decide to stop working with you and mess the whole process up. I was going to pay thousands of dollars for implants too so they lost out on that.

Used to be the best around, used to care about your pain kevels during procedures and check in with you but now it's just a push you out the door kind of service. Very sad. The quality in their care is no longer there and really should hire people who care about someone's well being before slashing into their mouth's. 2 years ago it was never like this. Great staff, caring about your needs and getting the job done with comfort and ease. Guess this is just "another office" to be marked as taking your chances going there these days.

My six year old had to have two teeth extracted. I was blown away by the bedside manner of the dentist and other staff. She treated my son so gently. They were also very hygenic and vigilent of Covid 19 protocols. I highly recommend this facility.

Worst dentist in the world left my wallet for ten seconds and all my money over two hundred dollars stollen out of my wallet and they caused so much pain I'm still in pain four hours after my appointment on top of all that they gave me a steroid for pain instead of a pain killer worst dentist in the world and they refuse to call back about any problems they were very very rude to me I wish I could give them no stars at all this place should be shut down um as well as I do not recommend them for anything or any one they gave me stiched that the string is now being pulled my my teeth bc they did not put the stitches in right they don't offer anything for pain and all they wanna seam to give you is a steroid I don't know why um very unpleasant experience with this dentist office as well as it's been a few days Sean's I had my procedure and now I can hardly talk I can't really eat anything at all with out crying bc of the pain as well as I can't drink even water or I cry they left one wond open to the boan and said it would heal and it hurts pleas everyone do not go here I don't want any of u to go through this

Wish i could give it no stars! Absolutely horrible service took 3 + hrs to have an extraction Dr communicated very little due to language barrier with no concerns of the issue or pain levels...then a when a follow up is requested a wk later due to consistant pain 6 days post procedure...Dr isn't around to see or conatact pts...i would NOT recommend Orange dental to anyone and once upon a time it was our go to family dentist

Cannot speak highly enough of this office. I have had twice fillings and two extractions done here. The staff is personable, funny, always pleasant. Dr Gentile(not sure of spelling, forgive me if incorrect) had a hell of a time today with my uncooperative extraction. But got the bad boy out with no pain. For me anyways. His arms may be sore later. And Rhonda has been there for both my extractions and is always wonderful. (Except she tried to drown me, just kidding!). Thanks again for taking such good care of me and making trips to the dentist stress free and dare I say, enjoyable.
