Best Office/Dr.!!!! I am so blessed to have had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Hoover. I live in San Juan Capistrano and it was worth the drive and the consultation. I explained Dr.Hoover that I had a traumatizing experience with another office/Dr. before I meet him, he listened and took great notes. He took care of me and even followed up with a call. The staff members made it so easy for me. I felt very comfortable and most of all my recovery is going smoothly. Thank you to the staff members and Dr.Hoover for a awesome experience for me:)

I cannot express how grateful I was for finding Dr. Hoover. This guy is fantastic! I had a cracked molar that I had crowned but the crowning process caused the base of the tooth to crack - won't discuss my disappointment with that practitioner. Went to an Endo who told me root canal wasn't worthwhile. Suffered for a month in pain until I found Dr. Hoover. I went in for an exam and treatment and was astonished how over-the-top better he was than my other experience. He and the staff made sure I was comfortable and removed the offending tooth and ensured no root bits were left behind (one root was L shaped and was hard to remove). Not only that, he did a phone follow up the next day to see how I was doing - on a Saturday - wait what!? About a week later I was in pain again and returned thinking maybe I had an infection - thankfully just nerve reacting to loss of tooth. He put some clove oil packing in the hole and immediately(!) no pain. It's been about 1.5 months since surgery and everything has healed very well and no further issues. Best part - his prices were FAR BELOW what the other dentists quoted/charged me and I even received a refund check from his office for insurance coverage overage. I cannot recommend Dr. Hoover enough - if you need oral surgery I would recommend him without hesitation. Wish all dentists were this great!

Many of the reviews already given are absolutely amazingly true( except those vile customers who labeled this place less than a 5 star)! I had always encountered dental offices with unwelcoming staff until I visited this office( I wish I had found it sooner as a child). The waiting room is lovely decorated, very welcoming service upfront. I came in last week for a wisdom teeth removal. Just like everyone, I was afraid of this surgery but when I met the friendly staff and courteous surgeon, I knew I was in great hands! I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once and feared to experience dreadful recovery( because we've all heard how excruciating the pain can be) but on the contrary! I saw quick healing results by the 4th day and within a week am completely recovered! This place is definitely recommendable without a doubt! I've already served as an advocate in regards to this place to my friends and family! Thank you for your service!

Doctor Hoover and his staff were so nice and professional ! He did my 3 wisdom teeth for less than 30 mins. I was awake but did not feel anything. I can't wait to come back for my implant. Thank you Dr. Hoover!!

I had 4 wisdom teeth removed, two of the top ones and two of the impacted bottom ones. The operation went well and took no longer than an hour. This place was very professional and who ever decides to have their dental work done here should feel very confident. They also accepted my medical insurance so I didnt have to pay a single dime out of my own pocket which was a huge plus!

I've been to many dentists in OC before going to Dr. Hoover to fix some of my implants. All of them failed or made things worse. Dr. Hoover was the only one who managed to fix them with no issue and smoothly. He did a great job and I'm very satisfied with the process. The staff were very professional, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Hoover and his team.

I've been experiencing so much pain because of my wisdom teeth and I was referred here by another DDS office and after reading reviews about the doctors work and people's experience with the staff as a whole I was extremely surprised when I didn't have the same experience. I just got off the phone with this office and to be honest whoever is working the front desk/answer the phones needs to go through training again to know how to speak to potential new patients. She seemed annoyed and like she didn't want to help. I went forward with booking an appointment just in case I couldn't find a place to see me sooner but I wasn't happy about it. Thankfully I found another office within minutes of getting off the phone with this place. I've worked as a receptionist for dental offices before and I know it can be hard at times dealing with NPs and existing patients but I guess this person forgot that they are the face/voice for the company and that they give off the first impression. I will say she did save herself by saying she would let me know of any cancellations to be seen earlier but the over all conversation was not it for me. Unfortunately I would not recommend any of my friends or family to call this office because they would not get a proper welcoming.

Dr. Hoover was amazing. I was referred by a friend, so this was my first interaction with him and his staff. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. I was in a lot of pain so Dr. Hoover was able to see me before my scheduled appointment. His facility had an inviting atmosphere and very clean. I had 3 teeth pulled so I wasn't looking forward to the visit ,but he had me out in about an hour and the pain was minimal. He educated me on the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for the best oral surgeon in southern California.

Doctor Hoover is absolutely awesome. My son is 17 and he needed 5 teeth (4 wisdom and 1 impacted k9) to be removed. We were referred to another surgeon who suggested to hire another anesthesia doctor to work with him because of such a high level of complication. It would cost more to do that. This doctor's caution really made me very uncomfortable. I felt a great pressure having to decide this by myself, and if I didn't and something went wrong he would be able to say I told you so. I didn't like that feeling at all! So I asked around and was referred to Dr. Hoover. Dr. Hoover seemed very confident and totally made both me and my son feel at ease, so we decided to go for it. His cost was reasonable too. It's been almost a week now since my son got the surgery and everything is good so far. Thank you Dr. Hoover and his team!

Dr Hoover and his team of professionals truly made my day by being able to remove my very decayed infected tooth. He was the 4th dentist that I had gone to. I suffer from major anxiety from a bad experience years ago when I was accidentally suffocated in the dental chair at another dental office. Everyone was so sweet, patient and compassionate and Very thorough and efficient. I am so grateful to this team, it took four years to get this tooth out. To some people this would've been a simple procedure to me it was life-changing. I thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Hoover and all the ladies for helping me overcome this major hurdle. The method of taking adivan and laughing gas worked awesome. Not to mention they had the tooth out in 5-7 min. I would highly recommend this oral surgeon and his dental hygienist any day. Sincerely thank you to all of you! I'm beyond grateful! Jen

Amazing staff, outstanding Doctor. I'm usually afraid of oral surgeons and will literally cancel every single appointment and end up not doing any procedure. But this time was different, the staff warmly welcomed me and made me feel safe. Then came the doctor, Dr. Hoover is very friendly and knows what he's doing. He's very gentle and respectful...and let me tell you, I didn't feel a thing, and my fear turned into laughter. Thank you for this amazing experience...I recommend everyone who sees this post to go ahead and schedule their appointment with Dr Hoover. You'll won't be disappointed

I had a wisdom tooth extracted and I was pleasantly surprised that it went so quickly. The staff is very cordial and I would definitely recommend them.
