Dr. Matthew Steuer is a board-certified oral surgeon who provides oral and maxillofacial care for patients all across the Colorado Springs and Pueblo, CO communities. Dr. Steuer's clinical expertise includes treatment maxillofacial trauma, dental surgery and implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, reconstructive oral and facial surgery, anesthesia, and facial cosmetics. Alongside his valued team members, Dr. Steuer is passionate about providing exceptional care to those who are in need of treatment.
After earning his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University, Dr. Steuer received his doctor of dental medicine from the University of Louisville. Four years later, he completed his oral and maxillofacialsurgery residency at Boston University Medical Center. Here, he received extensive training in dentoalveolar procedures and complex dental implant treatments. Dr. Steuer's wide breadth of technical skills paired with his compassionate approach to patient care has made him a well-known and respected figure among our personnel.
Before settling down in our state of Colorado, Dr. Steuerlived and practiced in Portland, ME. His family consists of himself, his wife, and their three children,whom he is passionate about spending his free time with when he's not hard at work in the office. Dr. Steuer has participated in several overseas missions where he has treated patients with cleft lips, cleft palates, and performed other dental care services.

Dr. Ben Bailey is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in the removal of impacted teeth, bone regeneration and grafting, and implant dentistry at our Colorado Springs and Pueblo, CO offices. In addition, Dr. Bailey also can manage severe oral infections, address facial trauma, offer oral pathology treatment, and perform surgery to correct malformations of the face and jaw.
He prides himself on providing only the highest quality of care possible to each and every one of his patients. Dr. Bailey works closely with men and women of varying ages to listen to their concerns, answer their questions, and explain all of their available treatment options. He strongly believes that a trusting patient-practitioner relationship is key to achieving a comfortable oral care experience. Dr. Bailey wants each of his charges to know that he and his staff are available at all hours of the day for follow-up inquiries and support during post-treatment recovery period.
After receiving his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Alberta in Canada, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the College of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Bailey then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Washington. Dr. Bailey is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery as well asa member of the following professional societies:
In between seeing patients at our Colorado oral surgery offices, Dr. Bailey spends his free time with his wife. Together, the like to take advantage of the gorgeous outdoor attractions that our state has to offer. The couple areavid mountain bikers and enjoyhiking year-round with their two Australian cattle dogs.

An AMAZING experience! The medical staff and doctor are very comforting. They let you know what's going on. They made me feel so comfortable that when my 13 year old needs his tooth fixed, we will be seeing Dr. Bailey'

My husband just had his wisdom teeth pulled out and it went very well. Everyone was very professional as well as nice. We were given all the information we needed for a good recovery at home. I would've chosen this place for myself had I known they were so great!

Had to get 5 teeth removed, was nervous but the doctors calmed me down and got me done in no time at all. A day later and I'm feeling fine and having no problems! Crazy how you can psych yourself out Lite that

I am one of those people that didn't make it to the dentist when I was a child very much. In my early teenage years I went to some dental offices that had existed in the times of the civil war. The work was also very crude. Needless to say I was nervous as it gets when it was time to get my old, beaten down teeth taken out. The experience at Oral surgery Specialists was once of the most calming I've ever had. I even looked forward to it the second time. They make sure you are comfortable. Everyone is smiling and the overall atmosphere is just that of professionalism. I highly reccomend this place is you need oral surgery. Thank you so much Dr. Bailey and staff.

My son had nothing but problems with one of his adult teeth since he was 7. First it was a cavity he had it filled then I was I was told that the dentist hadn't gotten all the cavity so they would have to fix it so they filled it again I was told the cavity was pretty deep so he would have sensitivity. He complained about it again I told him it was normal there was going to be some pain because they drilled deep it got to the point where he was crying over it and I knew it was more than tooth sensitivity so I took him back in and they said it was an infection they gave him some antibiotics and told me that would fix the problem. Two weeks later he was crying about it again so I took him back in he had another infection and they told me it was hurting cause the tooth on the bottom was pushing to hard into it so they ground it down and gave him more antibiotics and sent us on our way.6 months later he complained again we took him back in and they said it would be a good idea to do a root canal and refurred is to another dentist in Pueblo. I asked the same dentist why he had so many tooth infections and he told me that food was getting caught up under his tooth I asked him how do you prevent that from happy and he told me that you had to get all your yearly cleaning to prevent that. When we were refurred for a root canal I went to that doctor and I had been thinking what is a root canal going to do for his infections. That's what was causing pain so I talked to the dentist about pulling it and that a root canal was not going to fix his tooth in the long run and he said they don't pull adult teeth it causes issues in the long run. He refused to pull his tooth and sent me to an oral surgeon which is how I ended up at oral surgery specialists of Pueblo. I went in we had a consultation and he said there was no harm in pulling it. They pulled it and when he was done pulling it he informed me it was the right thing to do that the tooth had been dead for years and that I was right a root canal would not have fixed his issues it would have only made it a few years before having to have more tooth work done. He also informed me that his infections were due to them drilling so far down in his tooth that they trapped bacteria against the nerve and that was what was causing the infections. He was great with my son and stopped his 3 years of suffering and prevented another possible 2 years of suffering as well as a lot more money going to the dentist office for them trying to save that tooth thank you guys so much it was really spendy for getting a tooth pulled but thank you guys for being honest and helping him with his troublesome tooth ache.

Very good at what they do. They were very respectful and did a great job at teeth removal. They give a lot of information regarding what to do after to help give self care and are overall very good. However... They didn't clean some of their tools. I had to clean off the finger heart monitor because it had what I assumed to be blood on the wire by my hand. That scared me because what else did they not clean? 4 stars for that reason.

Oral surgery Specialists of Colorado Springs and Pueblo took very good care of me when I fractured my jaw. They sealed up a cracked tooth and wired my jaw shut in under an hour. I have weekly check ups with them and I feel that I am in good hands. Thank you Oral Surgery Specialists!

How understanding can a place be when you're not only late you have to call for directions and they still put you in their schedule and they're still kind and they're still helpful,, they fit me in no problem everyone was kind and the doctor was incredibly honest what more could you want I give them a five star.. It has been one week since my last review... I had Surgery yesterday with the kindest professional man Dr Ben Bailey...I cannot believe one day, and I'm on top the world, and feeling better than ever.. Five star is not high enough, 11 is more like it.. Thanks to All...
