Had a partially impacted wisdom tooth removed yesterday and the procedure and the recovery process has been smoother than I would've ever anticipated! Dr. Juhlin and his staff were amazing and I couldn't have asked for better care during the procedure. The facilities are very clean and up to date, and I felt very comfortable the whole time I was there. No complaints at all.

Waited over two months for an appointment. Refused to disclose costs prior to the "pre-meeting" where that was discussed (which I was charged for). Had to pay 100% up front on the day of surgery. My son had four wisdom teeth removed and it cost a fortune. Poor patient experience, poor post-operative instructions (which don't even mention dry socket - the most common post-operative condition). Pain management was a joke, would not prescribe appropriate pain management medication despite pleading with them. Everyone in the office is surly and the front office staff act like you are imposing on them. For what they charge they ought to at least be pleasant. I won't ever go back and will tell my dentist to stop referring them. Avoid this place if you don't want to go bankrupt.

I was referred to Oral Surgery Associates on Thursday, and called the same day. My scheduled appointment was made for Monday (today), just two business days after I called. Dr. Juhlin and staff were excellent in explaining everything throughout the process of extracting my cracked tooth and discussing the follow-up care. Thankful that my dentist recommended Oral Surgery Associates!

I needed to have a fairly rotten tooth removed. Previous radiation treatment for oral Cancer complicated the extraction to where my regular dentist wouldn't tackle the job. I was referred to Oral Surgery and was seen by Dr. Pfohl. That was the luckiest day in my life. Since I'm so phobic about dental work, I chose to have mild sedation; which would turn out to be the most difficult part of the entire brief procedure. My veins are HORRIBLE, PERIOD, and I go into a form of panic when they try to get the I.V. in. It's so embarrassing to act that way, especially at my age, but Dr Pfhol assured me that it was "really no big deal". Between his calm demeanor and excellent bedside manner, he was able to get that I.V. running quickly. The rest was a blur. I awoke in a recliner chair with one of the young nurses attending me. Having been given complete instruction and feeling little discomfort I was sent home. Do I recommend Oral Surgery Associates ? Of course I do!

Oral Surgery Associates of Iowa City were recommended to me by my dentist for my wisdom teeth removal. I was pretty nervous, as I'm sure most people are in the days leading up to a surgery, but I couldn't have felt more comfortable in feeling that I was in great hands. They worked with me to schedule my surgery into a tight window that I had open around the holidays. Dr. Juhlin and his assistants were world class in the procedure, thoroughly explained every last detail regarding the surgery, and minimized my recovery time. Strongly recommend!

I came in for 2 extractions and 1 impacted wisdom teeth removal. The facility is clean and well organized, the front-of-the house staff are very friendly and efficient. Dr. Juhlin and his nurse + assistant operated on me with great professionalism and care (very friendly people!). The operation was very quick and successful. My post-operation was painless and thanks to Dr. Juhlin et al., I recovered quickly, enough to do normal tasks on the same day (operation was the day before of this writing). I enjoyed the fact that this facility called me up a few hours after the surgery, to check in on my condition. Of all the surgeries I had in my life, this was by far the easiest one. Overall, I would very highly recommend to anyone seeking oral surgery operations.

Everybody was nice and office was very efficient. Couldn't have a better experience with getting an implant. Dr. Juhlin and his associates were happy to explain things.

Dr. Zeitler is straight forward and thorough. I had a wisdom tooth removed and an and implant done at the same time. The whole procedure took no more than 30 minutes. It was fast and painless, even without being anesthetized.
