The surgical team members were efficient, pleasant and professional. I plan to have future dental work done here.

The staff was super, they made sure to tell us lots of information, and make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Varland and his crew did an amazing job. I would highly recommend Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Associates to anyone in need of oral surgery.

Wonderful staff, smooth surgery to take out my wisdom teeth. They followed up a day later to check on me. Highly recommend.

My experience was one of professionalism, efficiency and caring. I had an infection which required the surgical extraction of a tooth. My level of pain was high and unrelenting. OMSA scheduled an appointment immediately with sensitivity to the level of discomfort. The staff is friendly, helpful and kind. I highly recommend!

Failed to notify me when they cancelled original appointment. After that appointments went as scheduled and the consultation and surgery went well.

It was my first time going under for surgery and the staff were super good about explaining the procedure and each step they were doing to help keep my anxiety down. Even before the surgery the staff was super good about answering my phone calls and explaining the steps I needed to take to have things in order with my insurance company. Super professional and friendly and they made sure I knew the upfront cost beforehand so I wasn't hit with a curve ball. Even the staff answering the phone from the Duluth office was super nice. TLDR: Very professional staff and great at explaining the ins and outs of the procedure and finances.

Be sure to ask up front for a detailed price and get a receipt. Was charged $490 dollars up front before extractions [4 removals] . Dr Jarnot was very professional and his staff was very friendly and informative. I was sent home with written instructions and medication for the next few days. The Dr, Office phoned 3 days later. To check how I was recovering and to inquire about my surgery. I recommend this Dr, and his staff. *Note: I did have to wait 2 in a half months for an appointment.

I was terrified when I went in for my surgical extractions (2 bad teeth and 2 impacted wisdom teeth). Signing the forms listing some possible complications didn't help. But the staff were nice, understood my fear, and explained how my anesthesia (full) would work. To calm my nerves, I closed my eyes. Next thing I knew (quite literally), it was all done. My mouth was gauzed, I was handed a bag with more gauze, a prescription note, a care instruction card, and a little container with my removed teeth. I wasn't in any pain. Pain did return eventually, but not for hours, and it barely counted as an ache. 4 days after the surgery and as far as I can tell, I'm on the fast track to a speedy recovery. 5/5 but I hope I never need their services again.

Would recommend this place to anyone. Very professional and did an exceptional job on my surgery. I have had zero side effects and am healing very nicely. Plus, the doctor and his staff kept everything very light and comical which was helpful in keeping me relaxed.

This is the only dentist office that accepts the state insurance and can remove wisdom teeth but my god, they suck. I have literally been playing phone tag with them for months. They said they would call in October and then never did. Called them back and it got moved to March. They *actually* called this time but then wanted to call Monday to make the appointment... and then never did. I understand that there is a pandemic and even understand the need for phone calls. What I don't understand is the blatant failure to keep to appointments, plans, or schedules. Making an appointment for a phone call is just like having a patient make an appointment to come in except a lot faster and easier and safer for all. However, seeing them fail to do this twice now makes me leery of their ability to handle anything. Like, I am in pain every day from these wisdom teeth and trying to have patience but it is really hard when they can't even manage their promised phone calls and then I look the next day and oop! They are closed. Incredibly unprofessional and if you can get your surgery done somewhere else, please do to avoid this round and round with the phones.

Had to get to the point of contacting the Duluth office several times just to try and get any chance of an appointment. Got to the point where I just gave up all together and went somewhere else. I understand that COVID has affect many businesses but proper communication has NOTHING to do with COVID; it has everything to do with service. Perhaps the doctor has forgotten that fact because he never returned any calls. You may be the only one in town but you're certainly not the only one in the state. I'm not thrilled that I have to drive over an hour to get receive the service I need but I can guarantee you they at least act like they care and communicate effectively.

The service was not bad, with the exception that I was told one price and paid it in full at the time of service. A few weeks later I received a bill for more money and when I called to find out why, the thing I spoke with stated that the original price I was charged was wrong that they had made a mistake and I owed more money. I paid $900 something at time of service then get a bill for like $40 bucks. What a scam! I've never heard of such a thing there so hard up for cash they add on fees after you already paid the full bill. Beware!!!

the nurse was rude to me as I was going to sleep, I had 3 teeth removed. They didn't get the whole tooth on any of them, they left slivers and chipped pieces in. Money money money, they did a horrible job and even had to give the money back because they over charged me! and they didn't give me a mouth rinse had to go to the ER for it, Horrible experience.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out last Monday. By Wednesday I had extreme pain radiating through my jaw, ear, and head. I called the "emergency line" several times about the pain and was not taken seriously. Dr. Hodapp had no office hours for a WEEK and refused to refill my pain medication. Today I finally saw Dr. Hodapp and it was confirmed that I have dry socket, an extremely painful condition resulting from the extraction. Despite this rare and painful condition, Dr. Hodapp STILL refused to prescribe me pain medication. His exact words were, "You're name is going to end up on a list." Horrible doctor! I would not recommend him to my worst enemy!
