Came to Dr. Patel to remove 2 mandibular tori. He was knowledgeable, courteous and fully transparent about the procedure and healing process. Completed this work in 2 procedures and I didn't feel a thing. He improved my quality of life overall and I would recommend his facility to those looking for similar services!

Going here for wisdom teeth removal was one of the worst experiences of my life. The lack of professionalism and bedside manner should be enough to deter anyone who is reading this, but please know that I also had a miserable surgery and post-op recovery. I don't leave any reviews, but not sure what else I can do to make sure no one else experiences what happened to me.

Pretty place, TERRIBLE dentist. First, I would like to address that the "Dr." rushes around and makes you feel like you are a complete inconvenience. Slow down and decrease your patient load if you do not have the capacity to tend to each patient appropriately. I had a root canal done and it got re-infected. I then went to a different dentist who confirmed that the procedure was left unfinished and Dr. Patel never sealed the canal, hence it becoming re-infected. DISGUSTING. Shame on you and the way you practice dentistry.

One of the best doctors ever from personality on down to his work! I was very nervous he kept me as calm as possible.. My appointment was at 9am I was done by 9:55am. He walked me through every step during the procedure and made sure I wasn't in any pain! I'll definitely be back and highly recommend! I was so shocked about how my appointment went I called and told my parents admittedly. AWSOME DOCTOR!

Dr. Patel did the job in extracting two wisdom teeth as promised, I bled rather unusually more than normal amount, and felt rushed the entire time.

I am SHOCKED to see 1 and 2 star reviews of Dr Patel. I was referred to Dr Patel by my primary dentist to get two impacted wisdom teeth removed. My dental insurance is only valid through the end of the month and they were able to get me scheduled two business days after my initial check-up and referral!! They were very accommodating with my insurance circumstances and upfront about the cost of the procedure in advance. I am terrified of dental procedures and suffer from severe anxiety. Dr Patel was able to prescribe me anti anxiety medication to take in advance of my procedure to ensure I was comfortable and calm. There are many complaints that Dr Patel "rushes" his work... on the contrary, I think Dr Patel is incredibly efficient. For someone like me, who is scared of dental procedures, it made all the difference that he was quick and it was over in the blink of an eye! I was impressed with his skill in administering local anesthesia, which was the most painful part of the procedure - he was quick, communicative, and kind. He talked me through the process as he was extracting my teeth, which made me feel reassured. The first extraction was CAKE!! I even asked him "that's it??" because it felt like he had just plucked the tooth out no problem. My second extraction was a bit trickier and he had to use a chisel and mallet technique, he talked me through exactly what he was doing and warned me when there would be impact/pressure. Dr Patel is a kind man and a skilled dental surgeon. He cracked jokes with me and made me feel at ease. I cannot thank him and the rest of the team at Belmont location enough for making me feel safe and cared for, and for getting me in and out quickly, especially as I was so afraid of the procedure and previously has a very negative experience elsewhere with the removal of my other two wisdom teeth. I'm blown away - thank you!! 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Patel was an excellent surgeon. Had 3 wisdom teeth extracted and surgery was painless with IV anesthesia. Recovery was relatively quick and painless. However, there are issues with the front office estimating customer responsibility of the total bill. They overestimated my amount due by double counting the patient responsibility portion of my insurance policy. Despite explaining to them that they were overcharging me, they were unaware of the issue. They finally allowed me to wait for my insurance to file the claim and it turns out I was right the whole time. Had I listened to them and paid what they asked upfront, I would have overpaid by over $300. I don't know if it was just an issue for me, but the front office staff did not seem to know how to calculate patient responsibility. I would suggest that people carefully read their own insurance policy and not just pay what the front office asks.

Back in 2019 I had to get wisdom teeth removed urgently, (never had any oral surgery done before so I was already nervous) , once I got there I learned that my insurance wouldn't cover full anesthesia, only local so I opted to remove two teeth and I told the front desk this information. When I was walking into the exam room the dr asked why my parents weren't coming in and told them to come in, I was confused but I agreed and once we were in the room and he saw my chart he realized I was an adult and he asked why my parents came in with me ... after he told me to bring them. Then he decided he wanted them to leave the room, however I asked them to stay and I felt he got annoyed by that. Had he not looked at my chart beforehand? He then began talking about removing all four teeth at once then I had to quickly correct him that is was only two because I couldn't afford all four (was still in college and and under my parents insurance at the time). I barely had any interaction with the dr. When the procedure was actually happening I was feeling some discomfort however the dr kept telling me it would be over soon, so I just had to sit through it. A week later when I had to come in for post op, I drove over 40 min for him to look in my mouth for 5 seconds and send me on my way. I had tried to ask questions however he was in a rush and I was out the door as fast as I came in. I still have pain in the area where my teeth were removed and no one can explain why. My regular dentist also informed me that his office never sent over any paperwork or x-rays to them to notify them that my surgery had been completed. Would not recommend, especially for anyone getting first time oral surgery.

went for a consultation after my primary dentist referred me to them. was pressured by the main doctor to get the extraction asap and had to repeatedly tell them no and explain why. felt super uncomfortable from that and left after the consultation only to receive a bill for not bringing my referral form, which i had emailed and handed to the receptionist prior to and during my appointment time. don't recommend coming here if you have doubts.

TL;DR, super unprofessional, I definitely would not recommend getting your wisdom teeth removed here. While Dr. Patel is friendly, what other reviewers say about being rushed is 100% true. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am. The main receptionist (office manager?) was not pleasant at all. When I was making my appointment for my surgery it seemed like she was downright annoyed with me taking longer than 30 seconds to settle on a time. I schedule people at my job, and part of the deal is tossing around times that might work for them, answering questions, and nailing something down. She was not having it. Ok, maybe it was a bad day for her or something. Come the day of my surgery, I check in, and I'm handed this piece of paper and she starts rattling off instructions for when I need to take my medicine, timeline for recovery stuff, food eating, etc etc. I was trying to write it down, but when I asked her to repeat her instructions about things, she said it would be written on the medicine bottle/the paper she gave me. At this point I definitely feel like a pest, and go to sit down. I wish I had been a Karen, because I got home from surgery, and that measly piece of paper definitely does not include all the info that you need for recovery. I googled just about everything I needed to know. What takes the cake, is when I was high on pain killers still sitting in the office, my friend who was my ride home arrived. When Dr. Patel was walking between exam rooms, he asked her if she had her wisdom teeth out yet. She said no. He said she should set up an appointment to get them taken out. How ridiculously unprofessional! What on earth?!? My insurance covered $1500 of my surgery and I still paid $800 some. Only someone money hungry and rich would suggest some random person see them for a surgery that isn't even necessary (she has other dental issues and sees her dentist regularly. They have never suggested she get her wisdom teeth out. Because. It. Isn't. Necessary.)

Would never recommend this place to anyone. Like many of the other reviews, I was referred by my dentist. (Will be telling her that she shouldn't be referring anyone to this place) Had the same experience as other reviewers where it was very very rushed. Dr. Patel is impatient and is there for quantity not quality. He had about 5 consultations at the same time so I knew I would be rushed as well. After the surgery, I was out of it from the anesthesia and they kept asking if my ride was there again to rush me out. The most unprofessional, worst part of the experience was that I didn't notice until I got home that I had a small cut on my face probably because he was in a rush to do my surgery and accidentally cut my face. It wasn't deep enough to leave a scar but was purposely ignored by the dentist and his aides. I honestly wouldn't have been as upset if he was professional and addressed it but the fact that he didn't say a thing about it knowing his clients are out of it from the anesthesia is what makes me very upset and inclined to make this review. And yes I have a picture of it I just don't feel comfortable putting my face online like that. I felt he took advantage of the situation and people should know what they are getting into when going to this place

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Kam Patel (he should not be called a Dr. in my opinion) was really rude, rushing me and not responding to my questions when I was trying to ask about my wisdom teeth removal. Really disrespectful and his advice about me taking out my wisdom teeth was "it is up to you" kinda trying to get me out of his office as soon as possible. He could be a dentist and spent years in college but he needs to learn how to treat his patients because he makes them feel really unwelcome according to the other reviews and my own experience. He just wants an easy paycheck and not work

Dr. Patel tried to reschedule my wisdom teeth extraction and send me home despite the fact that I scheduled it for that day. I didn't come there to just be sent back home. He not only took out one of my teeth (despite telling him I wanted one side, both teeth, out) but during the procedure when I told him I felt pain he just says "there's nothing I can do." He used the anesthesia but obviously if I'm in pain he should've stopped, but he didn't. He wanted me gone as soon as possible. I'm a low income African American BTW. I didn't want to bring race or class into this but that might be why there are mixed reviews on Dr. Patel: not saying he's like that but its a possibility :(
