Dr. Mark Cox is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. He has practiced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Surgery in Redding since 1993. He was born and raised in northern California and desired to return to northern California to serve this area.
Dr. Cox is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and Medicine where he earned both his dental and medical degrees. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Dr. Cox received extensive training in facial reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, anesthesia techniques, dental alveolar surgery, bone grafting, and the surgical placement of dental implants.
Dr. Cox is a native of Northern Californiaand mostly enjoys spending time with his family; however his hobbies include fly fishing, boating, and riding his motorcycle. His professional interests include implant reconstructing and bone grafting, the removal of wisdom teeth, and orthognathic surgery.

Went there to get two infected teeth extracted, I needed another pulled as well, but was not sure I would be able to afford it, after talking with the dental assistant Amanda we came to the conclusion that for all three teeth would be cheaper than what was originally quoted...AMAZING NEWS! Numbing went great, waited for Dr. Cox to get done with another patient and there he was, my friend timed him, took him 4 minutes to pull three teeth. Also shout out to Amanda she was extremely nice and talked my nerves down. She is by far one of the nicest Dental Assistants I have ever met. Y'all are AMAZING

5 star experience! Mark Cox and his assistant Amanda were outstanding! Amanda did a great job explaining everything from payment options to post operative instructions. She even provided me with a blanket during surgery because I was a little chili. Amanda did an amazing job! Mark completed my surgery within 15 minutes without pain, which was unbelievable! Absolutely the best oral surgery service I've ever experienced! I would recommend everyone! Thank you so much!

This is the best Oral surgeon I have ever been to. I was blown away by how wonderful all the staff were. I was extremely nervous but they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and explain things to me. After the extraction was over I was in shock, not from the extraction but from how fast it went. Two severely chipped teeth removed in five minutes or less. I wish I could give this office 1,000 stars. You will not regret choosing this AMAZING team.

Excellent service. They answered my questions and provided great care for my anxiety concerns. I got all 4 wisdom teeth out and it felt pretty easy. Everyone was kind, professional, and understanding. Would absolutely recommend.

Apparently no oral surgeons will touch someone with basic ins. because they get 80% of what they'd normally get. So, dislocated jaws and helping someone get better isn't what they really are about. The greed in this country and our doctors astounds me. Do no harm oath, yes they do through inaction definitely.

I was referred to Doctor Cox by Doctor Crummet. I had to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed and my top ones were pretty decayed. I had been delaying the procedure for years. I was very scared and nervous about the whole procedure and being put to sleep. But Dr. Cox's staff was very helpful, polite, understanding, sympathetic and caring. They started to ask me questions about every day life and before I knew it I was waking up in the recovery room with no pain. I had minimal swelling and no bruising. Every time I have called during my recovery they answer all my questions and never seem annoyed with me calling.. A huge thank you to Dr. Cox and staff. My experience with you has helped ease my fear of going to the dentist. I highly recommend them and will tell all my friends and family to go to Dr. Cox.

The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly. I was nervous to get my wisdom tooth removed that was causing me pain but they were understanding and quick to get it done. I chose to be put under so I didn't feel a thing! The environment is comfortable and professional. Will definitely come back once I need my other wisdoms removed. 10/10 recommend this place!

My son needed 4 teeth removed in preparation for braces. The office staff is extremely professional and sweet and Dr. Cox is a pro! My son had minimal pain and the oral surgery was quick! The office staff called the next to see how he was doing and I really appreciated that. By the time the surgery was done, they had already billed my insurance and my share of cost was minimal. Even before we started, they calculated a cost estimate. Very professional and I would give them 10 stars if I could! We'll definitely be back when my son's wisdom teeth come in. Thank you!
