My experience with our child's jaw surgery exceeded expectations. Every interaction with surgical, nursing, and administrative staff showed attention to detail and an interest in providing a positive experience for patient and family. The procedure was modeled ahead of time so no surprises and desired outcome achieved. Before, during, and after activities were clearly explained before day of procedure so we understood what to expect.

i was told i can come in alone as a 17 y o because my mom has to stay with my autistic sister who would throw a massive fit in the hospital and give us a hard time. the employee that tried to help me is nice but i dont appreciate driving 2 hours to have to cancel.

30 minutes on hold just to be sent to someone's voicemail, for the second time. I've called multiple times now and all they can do is try to make you someone else's problem. Thanks for nothing.

They are really good at pulling wisdom teeth I only have three more to go to becuz of my blood pressure the student is really good it depends on the student just pray to God to a student that knows what they doing im am definitely coming back for three more to go I add a update for three more extraction to go this year

Cannot even express how thankful I am to the UofM dental staff. I had a really bad wisdom tooth causing me a great deal of pain. I had a different oral surgeon in Dearborn basically tell me that I'd have nerve damage for the rest of my life if he extracted it. I was full on panicking. I left a message at UofM and got a call back the very next day. Erica was the one who helped me out and she managed to get me seen the very next day for a consult. They ended up telling me that if I didn't mind waiting a little while I could get the extraction done that day. Heck yeah. I'd rather wait an hour than be in pain for weeks until I could get back in. The doctor was amazing. The staff was amazing.

I had both of my lower wisdom teeth removed here, one was impacted. They took care of me. It's been about a year since i had the surgery and i've had 0 issues. Very thankful!!

I had an appointment at 1pm and was seen for about an hour and a half. I didn't leave until 4:30 pm. I was essentially forgotten for 2 hours. I notified one of the people walking by halfway through, but I had to press the help alarm button to actually get attention. By the time the person who was supposed to come see me came by, they didn't "have anything on me". The only people who showed urgency or worry was the resident and the person who checked my vitals. As of now, I'm not even sure if I'm having my procedure. And I still had to pay ~$100 for another scan because the one already on file was 15 days older than a year. This just wasn't a great experience.

Best oral surgery group ever. IF YOU HAVE TMJ, GO TO THESE PEOPLE. I have a very bad case of TMJ, a jaw disorder that limits how wide my mouth can open and causes immense pain. I had a reconstructive surgery one year ago to remedy some of the problems, but now I needed to get my wisdom teeth out. Two other surgeons/groups turned me away before I came here because there was a high chance that the wisdom tooth removal would aggravate my jaw and I'd be back to square one. Well, Dr. Sam Bae and the rest of the team at UM Oral and Maxillofacial surgery were amazing. They extracted all 4 in about 15 minutes with a minimal opening. One week later and I haven't had any jaw issues yet. They are the first group who really seemed to understand what TMJ is like, were sympathetic to the risks, and minimized them more than I thought was possible. These doctors are amazing, and I'm very picky so that's saying something.

Best doctors ever! Our son broke his jaw in four places. We initially went to another hospital in Flint and quickly realized the place to be was U of M. Once contact was made with the doctors at UofM, they helped facilitate everything and got us in immediately. They were phenomenal. The best bedside manners we have ever encountered. They treated us as if our son was their only patient. Don't bother looking anywhere else. These guys are top notch!
