Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates (OMSA) employs a unique combination of experts and a compassionate, long-standing staff to provide unparalleled care in a warm, welcoming environment. Our oral surgeons, operating in Montgomery, Prattville, and Troy, Alabama, are trained and board-certified to administer general anesthesia and IV sedation, allowing patients to sleep through treatment and enabling us to complete surgical procedures quicker.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons receive an additional six years of surgical and anesthesia training in a hospital setting. Aside from medical training and education, our practice offers several advantages, including hospital privileges at Baptist Medical Center South and Baptist Medical Center East.
Post-operative instructions will depend on the surgical procedure performed. In most cases, some swelling and discomfort is expected in the days immediately following surgery. Your oral surgeon will prescribe pain medications and antibiotics* to minimize discomfort and reduce the risk of infection. Plan to rest the entire day of your surgery, and restrict your activities until you feel comfortable to resume your normal routine.
We were met by a friendly nurse to do the I would recommend this service to anyone needing it. The office visit was very pleasant and the Doctor and nursing staff making you feel at ease through the entire process. My surgery was this morning and it's been 8 hours and no pain or problems.
Dr. Kean received his medical degree and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Parker received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certificate from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Johnson received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certificate from University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as the Alabama Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Most dental insurance providers only contribute to the cost of fundamental treatments, such as traditional dentures or x-rays. Advanced restorative care such as dental implants almost always requires an out-of-pocket investment. We will do our best to help you navigate your insurance coverage, which will usually contribute to at least a portion of most of our services. If there is a remaining balance, we can help you explore payment methods.
CareCredit is a credit card designed to help patients finance health, beauty, and wellness procedures. CareCredit offers flexible payment plans, many of which do not include interest if the loan amount is paid off within a certain time frame. Options include 6-,12-, 18-, or 24-month no-interest plans. Longer term plans of 24-, 36-, 48-, or 60-month periods are also available with low interest rates. CareCredit can be used as a stand-alone financing option, or it can be used to pay for out-of-pocket expenses not covered by your insurance.
While it may seem tempting to delay your dental care, it is immensely beneficial to address your oral health issues as soon as possible. Had a good experience! I got to my appointment on time and they were already ready for me. Woke up to my wisdom teeth out without any pain. Only took one ibuprofen afterwards. Highly recommend .

I highly recommend Dr. Kean. Him and his staff are amazing. My daughter had to have all four wisdom teeth removed. It didn't take very long when I say not very long it was less than an hour from when we walked in to us leaving. Then Dr Kean called that evening to check on her.

I have had many " a dental issue" secondary to medical HX, and Dr. Johnson and his team have always treated me with kindness, professionalism, putting me at ease and displaying infinite patience. I highly recommend them for any oral/ maxillofacial dx, treatment and assurance that they will take good care of you!!

Wasted an hour and a half here for a consultation. Got $180 billed to my insurance. In total, that $180 is the price of one X-Ray administered by an assistant and a literal two-minute conversation with the doctor. Wouldn't feel like such a scam if it at least hadn't taken half the afternoon.

I do not recommend this place the staff was nice but Dr. Johnson was a complete jerk! When I went in the had 4 wisdom teeth removed I told his staff I have the worst veins, and is afraid of needles after 5 tries I asked if my appointment could be rescheduled to a different day he then goes to tell me that he can't reschedule and I would loose my copay if it wasn't done at the time. His nurse's were awesome they tried to calm me down as I was in panic but he basically forced me to go through with the surgery.

I called to make an appointment. The woman said it's very expensive and it will cost 150.00 just to get through the door. They need a new person that doesn't talk down to people and tries to talk them out of coming in. Now I am going to talk to the doctor that referred me to them. If they treat you that way on the phone, I can only imagine how they treat you inside. Pity, the doctor came highly recommended but I'm not going to be talked to like that.

Outstanding service and staff...people that truly care! Dr Jason Parker performed my implant surgery to replace a bad tooth. Thankfully, they use anesthesia to minimize the patient's discomfort and pain. For follow-ups, most doctors have their staff call; however, Dr. Parker called the next day to check up on how I'm feeling, answer questions, etc. Impressive! His staff is very friendly and professional. They are with you throughout the whole process and did everything to put us at ease and make our implant the most important item of their day. When I called with a question a couple months later, I was connected right away to a real person...not an answering machine. I highly recommend Dr. Parker and his team and want to say "Thanks Again" for everything!

What a bunch of jerks! I can't get an appointment because I'm not in their system anymore-even though I have seen Dr Johnson before! So they want me to find a dentist to refer me again. Really? After explaining I had been getting my teeth removed in Ga at an oral surgeon in Columbus. IDIOTS! I hate IDIOT schedulers! I went to school a lot more longer than that little girl did to be treated rudely.
