An Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon is a surgical specialist of dentistry. Completion of a minimum of 4 years in an ADA accredited OMFS residency program is required beyond dental school. OMFS residents spend considerable time rotating through related medical specialties during their training. These include internal medicine, anesthesiology, general surgery, trauma surgery, plastic surgery, otorhinolaryngology and emergency medicine.

The scope of practice for an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon encompasses the diagnosis, surgical and medical management of diseases, injuries and defects that involve both the functional and esthetic regions of the mouth, jaws and face. Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons are the highest trained specialists in dentistry. In today's era of insurance and reimbursement, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons are an important link in the primary care referral base. Through the appropriate referrals, patients can be provided cost effective health care relating to oral & maxillofacial surgery.

Combining the surgical and medical training of an OMFS with advanced training in anesthesiology is unique among the various surgical specialties. All oral & maxillofacial surgeons receive hospital-based anesthesia training from the Department of Anesthesiology, including IV sedation, general anesthesia, intubation, airway management, emergency/ critical care and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Drs.Kremer & King comply with all office-based anesthesia protocols and guidelines set fourth by the State of Delaware's Medical and Dental regulatory boards.

Terrible customer service. I was a former patient of Dr Kremer and had a great experience with the extraction of my wisdom teeth. I later call to refer my husband and the office offers absolutely no flexibility in helping accommodate a consultation while we are living abroad. Returning clients deserve a better experience than this.

Dr Kremer and his team provided me with a excellent wisdom tooth extraction experience. I have very little pain hours after the extraction, staff was knowledgeable and helpful, and made me feel very comfortable when I was nervous.

Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled at once. I am still shocked at how the process went. I barely remember going to sleep and boom I'm awake and it's all over. The most amazing part is I felt absolutely no pain whatsoever . It's been 3 weeks and not once did i need to take ANYTHING for pain. Highly recommend this place

Dr. King was awesome, I didn't realize I was terrified of oral surgery and had a freak out when I first went in. I was able to reschedule and luckily got an appointment the very next day so I could be anesthetized for the extraction. Dr. King was very kind and explained everything to me, and was patient with how annoying I must have been with my anxiety. The staff are all very friendly too! Again, I really didn't know or realize how afraid I was, and everyone was so understanding and kind to me. If I ever need to have an extraction again (no offense to Dr. King but I certainly hope not!!) I would go back to his office. My only complaint, they can't even control this, is that their off hours answering service staff are incredibly rude and argumentative. If you have the misfortune of getting patched through to them, good luck!

Dr. King put me at ease both before and after my procedure. I was nervous during the initial consult but he answered every question I had. I appreciated his candor in discussing benefits and possible complications so that I felt prepared post-surgery. The building interior is classic (some might say "dated") Reagan-era medical facility. There is ample parking in a lot for your ride home person.
