Ruskin,Dr. Vejayan Krishnan and Dr. Aaron Ruskin are talented and trusted oral surgeons serving the Greater Farmington, Brighton and Canton areas of Michigan. Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to six additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. William Ruskin, Dr. VejayanKrishnan and Dr. Aaron Ruskin manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. William Ruskin, Dr. VejayanKrishnan and Dr. Aaron Ruskin practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant procedures and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery and cosmetic surgery. They can also diagnose and manage diseases of the face and jaws.
The surgical staff at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates of Michigan are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. The administrative personnel are well-versed in health and insurance policies and are CPR certified. Our staff is trained in assisting with I.V. anesthesia within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

Dr. William J. Ruskin is a graduate of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He served in the Air Force for two years after graduation and then completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesia at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local hospitals including St. John Providence, St. Mary Mercy, and Huron Valley-Sinai.
Dr. Vejayan Krishnan received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Krishnan was most recently Chief of the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local Michigan hospitals including Henry Ford, Huron Valley-Sinai, St. Mary Mercy, and St. Johns Providence. He is American Board certified in his specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Aaron Ruskin is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He began his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training with an internship at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He then completed his training through the St. John Hospital and Medical Center and Childrens Hospital of Michigan (Detroit). He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local hospitals including St. John Providence, Childrens Hospital of Detroit, St. Mary Mercy, and Huron Valley-Sinai. He is currently chief of the division of oral and maxillofacial surgery at St John Providence Hospital in Southfield and Novi. He is American Board certified in is specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Zaid W. Abu-Seir (Dr. Z) is an honor graduate of the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. Abu-Seir then completed his Residency Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through Wayne State University School of Medicine: at Detroit Receiving Hospital, Childrens Hospital of Michigan, Henry Ford Hospitals and St. Johns Medical Center. He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local hospitals including Childrens Hospital of Michigan, Beaumont Hospital Troy, St. John Medical Center and Providence Hospitals, Detroit Receiving Hospital and Henry Ford Hospitals. He is American Board Certified in his specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Having a Very Bad experience from before made me so so nervous about this experience. Dr. Abu-Seir and his assistant Ursula was THE BEST! they made me feel comfortable and was very understanding. When you have a doctor who is very concerned about your feelings and not brushes them off is excellent. I'm Very Happy and Pleased with my visit. The two young women at the front desk were very polite also. Thank you for easing my fear and most of all my pain! You are greatly appreciated!

My daughter 11yr had at great experience at OMFS with Dr. A.Ruskin. & his assistant. She was a little nervous but said, "when Dr.Ruskin came in an said ok kiddo let's get these teeth down". She was excited and ready get her treatment started. Thank you guys!

I was referred by a root canal specialist and was given an appointment within a couple days. Very professional, explained everything so I understood what would happen during my visit. They listened to my concerns, very important to me. Great experience.

I received treatment at the Canton Office. Immediately upon entering I was greeted cheerfully by Rachel. Shortly after getting comfortable in the waiting area. I was called into a room by Another Rachel who was not only kind but knowledgeable as well. Personally I have had several other procedures performed by Dr. Krishnan and if the occasion should arise again I would not hesitate to return to the Canton Office. The entire Staff is friendly and makes you feel at ease.

The staff was great and made me feel extremely comfortable when I was nervous. They got me in quick, everyone was pleasant, and the procedure went flawlessly. Very happy with my experience and would recommend them to anyone.

Disorganized at best. Office called the day before the appointment to tell me my insurance was inactive. Took awhile to get through to the insurance company only to find out everything was fine. When I called back, they had no clue what I was talking about and reassured me everything was fine with our insurance! Oddly, They never actually confirmed the appointment with the date & time. Also, Failed to let me know they had switched locations so we arrived at the wrong place. Once I found it, the only focus they had was making sure I was all "masked" up in the office to the point I couldn't be with my child at his appointment. I tried, for him. I couldn't breathe, causing a concern. I was told I needed to leave. Sorry, but not everyone can handle having their airways restricted. A little understanding can go a long way. I took my son and left. I'll find another place.

Was my first time with oral surgery and I was a bit nervous of what to expect. Kind of assumed there would more pain involved than with a regular dental extraction. I was so surprised that from beginning to end, the procedure was very quick and absolutely painless. Thank yuall so much, for that great experience.

I had a minor surgery done yesterday. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. When I was called in by the nurse, she was very pleasant and did a really nice job to make me feel at ease. When Dr. Abu-Seir walked in, he was very pleasant and professional. When I woke up after the surgery I felt good, and able to walk with assistance of my son, I wasn't drowsy . Dr. Abu-Seir and team did an amazing job. Thank you very much.

My son who is 18 saw Dr. Ruskin for wisdom teeth removal but due to timing over xmas Dr. Z Abu-Seir performed the surgery. The front desk outstanding, the girls in the back Tiffany and all staff were outstanding. Dr. Z did an excellent job - done in 15 minutes - seriously 15 minutes. Preston took a pain pill at night just because :) for the first couple days and the Motrin 600 mg every 6 hours for the first couple days. He was fine as of day 2, very little swelling if any at all. TOTALLY IMPRESSED.

I saw Dr. Krishnan for my wisdom teeth extraction and it was a great experience. I had been putting off the procedure for years, but he and his team helped to put me at ease. I am about four days post-op and have not felt any pain or discomfort. Would highly recommend seeing him if you're in need of an oral surgeon.

I have never had a great experience at a dental office until I came to this one, although I was hoping to be put to sleep during the procedure the doctor's wishes that i was not a good candidate for this was the best for my health and he assured me that it would be a pleasant experience. I am thankful that my health was important to him. I would suggest anyone go to this facility for any dental work as it was the best experience I've ever had in my life. The doctor and staff were patient with me and my fears and NO PAIN. Thank you

If there were 10+ stars, I would have selected them all. My experience at OMSA trumps any provider experience I've ever had! Every staff member goes out of their way to welcome, attend and care for you. The physicians and their team truly set the bar on excellence. That goes for every category of care, from entry through exit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. I wish every provider came close to their level of care, quality and service - truly exemplary!
