Our oral surgeons, operating in Montgomery, Prattville, and Troy, Alabama, are trained and board-certified to administer general anesthesia and IV sedation, allowing patients to sleep through treatment and enabling us to complete surgical procedures quicker.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons receive an additional six years of surgical and anesthesia training in a hospital setting. Aside from medical training and education, our practice offers several advantages, including hospital privileges at Baptist Medical Center South and Baptist Medical Center East.
Post-operative instructions will depend on the surgical procedure performed. In most cases, some swelling and discomfort is expected in the days immediately following surgery. Your oral surgeon will prescribe pain medications and antibiotics* to minimize discomfort and reduce the risk of infection. Plan to rest the entire day of your surgery, and restrict your activities until you feel comfortable to resume your normal routine.
We were met by a friendly nurse to do the I would recommend this service to anyone needing it. The office visit was very pleasant and the Doctor and nursing staff making you feel at ease through the entire process. My surgery was this morning and it's been 8 hours and no pain or problems.
Dr. Kean received his medical degree and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Parker received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certificate from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Johnson received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certificate from University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as the Alabama Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

The procedure was great, very professional. Billing on the other hand needs work. I'm told one thing about my insurance and it always ends up being something different. This is frustrating.

This place was amazing. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. You don't get that anymore in alot of medical facilities. A bad staff has caused me not want to even go back to that facility.

I got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. The girls at the front desk and the girl at Admin 5 was really really sweet. Dr. Parker made me feel really comfortable although his assistant wasn't very friendly. I would recommend everyone to go there for dental and extraction needs.

This is the way services like this ought to be done. Stress free and with clear cut intent, pricing and coverage upfront. Went for an x4 wisdom teeth extraction on 10 AUG 2022. Process was pretty streamlined and as far as any worry over Anaesthesia, it was enough to where the last thing I remember being awake for was then mentioning it was going into the IV. I didn't wake up with 95-100% awareness until 5min from home from a 30min drive. The staff were also professional and deliberate on every instruction or guidance given down to where you'd sit beyond the lobby, why irs done, and why certain scans might be done. I wasn't in the dark on anything for the process unless you want to count being on anesthetics.

My daughter, Kenadie Carter had her wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Matthew Johnson did the surgery. He was extremely nice and professional. Kenadie had a wonderful experience and didn't have any pain after the surgery. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Dr. Matthew Johnson, his nurse, and staff.

Had two implants there. The first was ok , but charged $500 more than expected from estimate. Had to add anesthesia was the reason. Second was ok but billing clerk told me insurance was ok, but she had not actually checked, and it wasn't ok at all, so $965 out of my pocket. Technically very competent, but not to swift on admin. I recimmend highly , but be sure you have checked tour insurance.

I went to get all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out. Dr. Kean and his staff were amazing and helpful throughout the process. It was a quick procedure and I am recovering well.

This is for my daughter Tonja Tyson who is disable from strokes, she had a great experience with Dr Kean he did surgery to remove 3 teeth. Him an his staff were very good with her.

My dentist sent me here to have a lesion looked at. After waiting an hour, the surgeon barely looked in my mouth and said "nothing there". What a waste of time. I will never go here again
