This group of doctors manages not only to take care of its patients with a holistic approach, the staff is incredibly professional, friendly and supportive. OMSA is a world-class practice in Chapel Hill, Durham, and Sanford. We're fortunate to have access to a place like this in the Triangle!

This practice has to be the best in this area! I've had procedures done by Dr. Ruvo at all three locations including extractions and implants with one visit under emergency conditions on a weekend! Dr. Ruvo's diagnostic ability has been outstanding and the staff at each location are extremely knowledgeable and so supportive. I am now scheduled to have another extraction next week, and after my pre-surgery screening today I am completely confident that the results will be great! I am so grateful to have this level of expertise and patient care in our area.

I had a surprise tooth extraction needed and Dr Ruvo and the OMSA office were exemplary and professional. In the midst of the pandemic, I felt safe and cared for. I visited both the Chapel Hill and Durham offices and they are great. I was not looking forward to the extraction, bone graft and then months later, implant. A long process, which Dr Ruvo explained clearly and answered my many questions. In the end, it was such a pleasant(!!) experience, that it changed my whole opinion on my dental care! Thank you, Dr. Ruvo!

Let me just say that these guys know what they're doing. They were quick and efficient and explained everything thoroughly. I especially want to shout out a huge thank you to Cassidy who stayed with me and calmed me down when I started having a lot of anxiety in the chair. It meant more to me than you know!

The doctors were super friendly and so was the staff. Unfortunately, I had surgery twice and it only made my problem worse. I was then told that my doctor would reach out to another colleague for a consult and I never received further communication, even after leaving a message. So, sadly, I spent over a thousand dollars to have gone through two surgeries and to get an even larger growth in my mouth that now hurts, unlike before I went in to OMSA.

Dr. Serlo and his staff made me feel completely comfortable and confident about my procedure. Dr. Serlo recognized my anxiety and took the time explain everything about the process of my procedure and post-op care. I really can't say enough good things about my experience with OMSA, their friendly staff, and Dr. Serlo.

Dr. Ruvo is phenomenal! My daughter had her wisdom teeth out last month. He and his staff were amazing every step of the way. He has a warm, pleasant, put-you-at-ease-immediately bedside manner and explains everything thoroughly--offering dedicated time and attention to you / answering your questions. All of the staff at OMSA Chapel Hill were equally wonderful, attentive, and accommodating. Cannot recommend Dr. Ruvo highly enough.

Dr. Ruvo has fantastic bedside manner. I went in to the office to get a root canal tooth pulled, a molar. In my case, I had seen a documentary called Toxic Tooth that made me realize my root canal tooth was probably causing issues for me. I didn't mention the documentary to him or his staff, but did mention that the tooth had been bothering me. About a week and a half after the surgery, my pain is almost completely gone (thank goodness). I chose not to go under local anesthesia, and rather just had my mouth numbed. That is apparently an unusual choice, but I wanted to save quite a bit of money on the procedure. The procedure went really well and Dr. Ruvo explained everything along the way. He left plenty of time for questions before, after and during the surgery. He saw me for a quick appointment after my surgery when I was in a lot of pain to help me figure out how to alleviate the pain (more ibuprofen, and a fun device to clean out the hole in my gums as it healed). Overall, I'm thrilled with the office!

I was referred to Dr. Sacco by my general dentist in order to resolve two previously restored pre-molars that had deteriorated to the point that they had to be removed/replaced. I last dealt with Dr. S 11 years ago for my first extraction of a Wisdom tooth, which went very well. This time, I needed two more extractions, followed by my decision to replace the missing teeth with dental implants-- one in my upper jaw & one in my lower jaw on opposite side of my mouth. The cost for this ambitious Treatment Plan was not inexpensive. However, considering the somewhat risky procedures involved and my goal of obtaining a functional outcome that would last me for the rest of my life, I was willing to incur the costs. Moreover, other aspects of my treatment plan served to justify the cost, including: * OMSA offers a 3% courtesy discount for any procedure that is paid up-front, in full. For an expensive plan like mine, this can make for sizeable savings. * Dr. S's extensive knowledge-- compliments of her DDS & MD degrees --is commensurate with the challenges that my complex needs presented. * Her office employs the latest technology (e.g. 3-D C-Scans) that enables a correct diagnosis and guide subsequent surgical interventions. * Dr. S's many skills: Not only is she manually deft in executing local anesthesia, incisions, extractions, bone-grafting and suturing (which minimizes one's time in the chair), but she has great "bedside manner." I personally appreciated the soothing manner with which she informed me of what she was doing or accomplishing as she worked, but also her comfortable "one-way conversation" of sharing relevant & interesting information that served as a useful distraction & relaxation technique for me. The bottom line is that I have the utmost confidence in Dr. S and trust implicitly her recommendations & high-stakes procedures and treatment. It's clear that my welfare was always paramount-- e.g. she was very amenable to "bundling" or maximizing some of my procedures per appointment, so as to minimize my exposure to radiation or the pre-operative antibiotics I have to take. Moreover, her practice's Office Staff and all of her personal assistants are of the highest caliber. This includes my always having my questions answered. However, at the same time, I wish that the Practice would more routinely make available printed Homecare instructions, similar to what her office provided me in 2008. In closing, I wholeheartedly recommend OMSA and Dr. Sacco for anyone in need of competent & comprehensive care for complex dental needs.

I have been a patient for over seven years and had a number of implants placed. Dr Serlo and his entire staff have been wonderful. Each time I have been to the office I receive such caring treatment. They have really gone above and beyond for me!

I had a really great experience at this office and Doctor Serlo is amazing! I had a tooth extracted and everything from the front desk people, to the insurance claims people, to the assistant and the doctor himself was amazing!

After 60+ years of being treated by many fine dentist and oral surgeons I thought I had experienced the best professionals..until yesterday. Dr.Ruvo removed 6 teeth under IV anesthesia and it was the most wonderful & incredible experience I have ever had. If that wasn't enough, he called my home last night at 8:30 to check to see how I was doing. If you ride in a Mercedes you expect a smooth ride...Dr Ruvo is the Mercedes of his profession.

Ive recently had some procedures done by Dr Ruvo and his team. I must say....if you want a group that is in-sync, ontime, efficient, professional, and customer friendly, then you need to go to this office. Not only were the staff friendly, but from check-in to check-out, they were patient centered and respectful. Dr Ruvo's medical and technical skill and bedside manner made me feel comfortable and re-assured during and after my tooth extraction and bone graft procedure, and i'm happily looking forward to my implant in the next few weeks. I highly recommend this team of professionals to anyone needing Oral Maxilofacial care. They are the best...no doubt about it.

I needed information on implants for my teeth and Dr. Serlo Was very informative on steps needed to take to have the best results. I have high anxiety due to some previous dental experiences and he was very patient, answered all my questions, and when it came down to the procedures him and his team were very kind, friendly, efficient, professional, and you could tell they cared.
