Dr. Cole received his dental and medical training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Schools of Dentistry and Medicine. He completed his residency training at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Blanchaert received his undergraduate dental training in his hometown at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He completed his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Connecticut. Furthermore, he received fellowship training in maxillofacial oncology and microvascular surgery at the University of Maryland and began his academic surgery career there immediately after his fellowship training. He added to his training through traveling rotations to centers of excellence in head and neck surgery and reconstruction. Four valuable years of service to the University of Maryland were followed by a return to Kansas City. There, Dr. Blanchaert served the University of Missouri-Kansas City Schools of Dentistry and Medicine for an additional two and one-half years as an associate professor before entering private practice.
He enjoys the opportunity to utilize his training and experience through direct patient care and by conducting continuing education for medical professionals. Dr. Blanchaert has lectured internationally on a wide range of topics critical to OMS including dental implant reconstruction, ambulatory anesthesia, pathology, and reconstruction.
Dr. Lichty attended McPherson College, graduating with a chemistry degree. Dr. Lichty received his dental degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and his medical degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Then, he went on to complete his general surgery internship and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Alabama.
He is board-certified and practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. For instance, tooth extraction, placement of dental implants, bone grafting, management of facial trauma, corrective and reconstructive jaw surgery, removal of cysts and tumors of the face and jaws, pediatric oral and facial surgery.
Dr. Harris received his dental training at the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training, medical school, and general surgery internship at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After his residency, he completed fellowship training in head and neck surgery and microvascular reconstruction at the Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
He served in the U.S. Navy as an attending surgeon, and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program Director at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Harris left the U.S. Navy as a Commander after eight years of service. He has served as a site visitor for the Council on Dental Accreditation for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency and Head and Neck Oncology fellowship training programs. He is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has presented nationally and published numerous journal articles and book contributions pertaining to various topics in oral and maxillofacial surgery including the management of benign and malignant pathology, maxillofacial reconstruction, and implant reconstruction.
Dr. Harris is board-certified and practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, including tooth extraction, dental implant reconstruction, bone grafting, management of facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and management of benign and malignant lesions of the maxillofacial region.
