Our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are dental specialists who treat conditions of the teeth, mouth, jaws and face. Our specialty encompasses diagnosis, surgical, and related management of disease, injury, and defect of both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the oral and maxillofacial regions including preventive, reconstructive, and emergency care.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital-based surgical, medical, and anesthesia training after the completion of undergraduate work and dental school. Our practice is unique in our region because most of our surgeons also have a medical license, are Fellows of the American College of Surgeons and are Fellowship trained. With specialized knowledge in pain control and advanced training in anesthesia, our surgeons are able to provide quality care with maximum patient comfort and safety in an office setting. The surgeons of our 30-year-old practice frequently perform oral surgical procedures such as wisdom-tooth removal, bone grafting, and dental implant placement. They are nationally- and internationally-recognized experts, receiving referrals throughout the United States for the treatment of complex surgical cases such as temporomandibular joint surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant pathology, corrective jaw surgery and micro-surgical nerve repair.
Our practice is the only teaching practice in St. Louis. Since 2005, oral surgeons from all over the United States have applied for our accredited one year fellowship training program. These select surgeons come for additional, specialized training in our true full scope practice. Our surgical case load at Mercy Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma hospital, provides a one of a kind education with a hands on surgical approach. The focus of our program encompasses facial cosmetics, reconstructive, orthognathic, and TMJ surgery, facial trauma and complex implantology.

I have severe TMJ. It's made me clinch my jaw so much I've ruined two molars. My dentist recommended Dr. Findley to have them removed or a root canal somewhere else. I opted for removal & restoration with bridges. So far all I have had is a consult. I did schedule to have them removed because I'm in a lot of pain. I found the office to be nice! It was really clean & well organized. Everyone including the Dr was so nice & helpful. I think maybe some of these other reviews went on an off day or maybe weren't kind themselves to the staff? I don't know but my experience was good. If anything changes I'll update. God bless

I loved this place!! Extremely nice staff from beginning to end! Great dentist who knew what he was doing and did it with minimal pain and discomfort. I would recommend him to anyone!

Had a fantastic experience all around with Oral Facial Surgery Institute Eureka. Very kind people and extremely proficient at what they do. Any poor reviews you read on here are clearly bologna. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I've never been to a doctor or dentist that asks for payment up front other than for lab work or co-pay. On top of that, they didn't even give us important information up front. Were told it would be $320 up front for one wisdom tooth to be removed; they accept Care Credit, we weren't told that the person whose on the card had to be present (my mother was going to pay to help us out). Then, we were also given a second option; using local anesthesia, which is WAY cheaper. We didn't find any of this out until we were sitting in the parking lot, 20 minutes before my husband's appointment. They did less than the BARE MINIMUM to work with us. Very irritated and will more than likely never come back. I also love the fact that they only reach out and respond to their good reviews and don't address the negative ones whatsoever. Great way to run a business!

I just went in today and had a tooth removed that was broken off at the gum line with a tooth in front of it and on both sides. Absolutely a great experience. I opted for local numbing and it was a completely painless removal. These doctors are great. The staff here is wonderful. I would definitely recommend them. The doctor here is great and will take great care of you. His assistant was in their helping him was wonderful too. Thank you for the wonderful care. I really can't say enough good stuff about this place.

After going through insurance on the need of an oral surgeon due to terrible dental problems from Type 1 diabetes and side effects from extractions my PPO confirmed that due to the preexisting disease and side effects from my dental problems, I would be covered under medical, not Delta Dental. This would save me an immense amount of money!!! The first thing I was told was my insurance didn't know what they were talking about. Then she said that I didn't tell my insurance what the medical problems I had were so the insurance was mistaken. Excuse me? I thoroughly and completely explained my medical /dental problem. I've had the same insurance for 35 yrs. I understand my benefits. I have a PPO for 3 insurances. Before I was finished telling her all of them, I was told they didn't take my insurance??? Unbelievable. Hey, no problem. I'm more than happy to go to a surgeon who wants my business. I actually glad this happened before I needed major oral surgery.

If I could rate this place higher I would . Dr. Findlay is an amazing dentist . He is very good at what he does and he took excellent care of me . Very caring and kind person . The staff was on top of things and very nice . I honestly can't say enough great things about Dr . Findlay. THANK YOU for taking such great care of me .I highly recommend this place .

If I could have given no stars and a review, I would have. Incredibly rude receptionist. Thankfully I did not trust them with my teeth! If this place of business wants to change the negative reviews all over the internet I would start with replacing front desk staff. They need caring, understanding people to receive you and explain process of their office. She was very rude and seemed annoyed she had to answer questions.. I wouldn't trust this place for me, my family even a stranger. Which is why I'm taking the time to review. Dental work is stressful and expressive. Keep looking. I have since gone to Midwest oral maxillofacial & implant surgery. I recommend calling there.

I would definitely refer this place! My teenage daughter had to have 3 wisdom teeth cut out and they were Fantastic. She had an issue with a piece of bone coming threw and the got her taken care of immediately, even after hours. I appreciate all they did for her.

If you want to overpay, this is the place for you. Just over a year ago I had two wisdom teeth removed by another dentist for just under $500 out the door including antibiotics and pain meds without insurance. This place quoted me just under $1000 for two molars (6th tooth back from center on the bottom on each) extracted. And the receptionist said that $1000 was an estimated offer and with a local anesthetic but It could be higher. Terrible first impression. No way am I going to pay that much for two extractions. I'll take my money and business elsewhere.
