After receiving his baccalaureate from the University of California at Irvine, Dr. Kim headed to New York City and obtained his D.D.S. from Columbia University before returning west to receive his M.D. from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. His surgical training was then completed at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, one of the largest and busiest teaching hospitals in the country. Dr. Kim is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Kim provided comprehensive surgical care at one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in San Diego for more than a decade. He has extensive experience in the complex management of cleft and craniofacial deformities, facial trauma, implants,reconstruction, and corrective face and jaw surgery. He also has a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery.
Deeply passionate about education, Dr. Kimhas been involved with the training of Head and Neck Surgery residents from both the Navy and University of California at San Diego as well as the next generation of doctors at the University of North Carolina Chapel HillAdams School of Dentistry where he served as a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor. Heis dedicated to staying current with the latest technological and surgical advancements whichallow him to keep his practice on the cutting edge of the specialty.
When not at work, Dr. Kim is happy to be spending time with his rambunctious kids and exploring events around his home. His personal interests include classic rock and cinema, muscle cars and coffee, and playing his guitar whenever he can.
Dr. Reed Day, received his DDS from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude.In recognition of his academic excellence, he was awarded the Harvard University Scholarship upon enrollment and was a member of the Harvard Honor Society, OKU.
Dr. Day continued his educationat Harvard Medical School where he earned his MD. He then completed his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
A recognized leader in his specialty, Dr. Day continues to remainabreast of the latest medical and dental developments and technologies. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and strongly believes in continuing education to provide his patients with unparalleled surgical care.
In addition to his work in private practice, he currently serves as a team physician to several professional sports teams such as the Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix Suns, and Arizona Diamondbacks. He is alsoinvolved in many charitable promotions to serve the disadvantaged.

At 73, I had six teeth extracted, including two wisdom teeth and I expected the worst. I had some discomfort, of course, but no pain. Nothing that ibuprofen couldn't handle. I was stunned at how easy my recovery was. Dr. Kim is a remarkable surgeon. The office is well run, friendly, professional and kind. The dental assistants, Stephanie, Demi, and Miranda, compliment a truly great team at work here. Highly recommended.

My experience here was awesome. I never had to wait longer than 3 minutes. The day of my surgery went so well. Stephanie, Demi & Miranda were the ones assisting & they made me feel very comfortable. Additionally, it was the first time I've been put to sleep where it didn't burn in my arm or feel scary. After surgery I had no pain. Even after the Novocain & pain meds wore off. It was obvious that Dr. Kim took every step when I was out to ensure any pain would be minimal. I had a concern on Labor Day & called the office just to leave a message. Dr Kim called me back within 20 minutes, on the holiday! I was so nervous before I visited, and had I known how it would go, I wouldn't have had one concern. Love this place!

I was refer by Stephanie V. I came to the office with some pain and discomfort. Dr.Kim and his staff have been very helpful from start to finish with my wisdom teeth removal. He explained exactly what would happen and that reduced my stress even though I was a bit nervous about anesthesia. His surgery skills are top notch. Professionalism, knowledge and kindness I was shown by Dr. Kim and all the staff I felt so much comfort afterwards. I will definitely recommend this place.

Everybody at the office was very friendly. Doctor Kim explain very clear every detail of the procedure, step by step. What I like tge most is that since there is no insurance involved, they let you know exactly what the cost is. No surprise bills! It is up to the patient if she/he wants to go ahead with the treatment. GOOD SERVICE

Dr. Kim's staff was amazing throughout the whole process of my wisdom teeth removal. I was very anxious and nervous initially, but they made me feel comfortable. The procedure went very smoothly. Told to wait a week in extreme pain before I could even get a consult then Shelly called me personally to see how they could help me manage until I was eventually worked into the schedule I am so happy to have a oral surgeon so near me that is actually invested in taking care of their patients

From my consultation to the day of surgery, the staff were amazing and so hospitable. Dr. Kim answered any and all questions that I had during my consultation. He was very patient as I had many! I was incredibly nervous with this being my first surgery ever, but the entire staff put me at ease especially on the day of my surgery. They were very friendly, professional, and informative. Demi explained how everything would work from surgery prep to recovery. They did a great job at keeping me distracted during surgery-prep, anesthesia, etc. They were so positive and helpful - it was exactly what I needed to ease my anxiety. I was worried about potential risks with the surgery, but Dr. Kim is very skilled in what he does! I would say my recovery was better than most I know, largely in part to his technical expertise. I truly could not have had a more positive experience with this staff. Would 10/10 recommend them!

I can't speak highly enough of the care I received from Dr. Kim and the staff at Phoenix Oral & Facial Surgery. While surgery makes me (everyone?) nervous, I was immediately put at ease by every interaction. I could tell how they had my best interests at heart! Dr Kim comunicated everything I needed to know and explained the medical parts in way where I understood. The office manager Shellie was a pleasure to talk with, answered my many questions and even let me know what to expect from insurance before the procedure. I wish more doc offices worked this way! Carla was helpful with scheduling, using my online health answers (some doc offices make me redo it at office again?) and checked on a extra question I had about whether something was okay to do after the surgery. They're the best and I would recommend them to anyone!

My husband recently remove his wisdom teeth and they did a great job. They were always really helpful on every question we had and procedure went smooth. Stephanie also checked on him after surgery and see if we had any further questions.
