My name is Dr. Mark Newey I was born and raised in Roy, Utah. I received my undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Weber State University and my Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from The University of Oklahoma in 2000. I completed an Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I started my Privatepractice in 2005. I belong to a number of organizations: Utah Dental Association, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Society of Dental Anesthesiologist, and Weber District Dental Association.
I have devoted my professional career to all aspects of Oral Surgery practice with special interests in the treatment of Dental Implants, Jaw Surgery and TMJ. Both of my kids received excellent care here. My oldest son had his wisdom teeth taken out. My youngest son had multiple procedures (extractions, chain anchors, bone graft, implant). Dr. Newey and his staff are so knowledgeable and attentive every step of the way. Can't praise them enough!
Other than tooth loss, you should be in good dental health free of infection and periodontal disease. Your dentistmay recommend extractions if you have extensive tooth decay to give you a better foundation for your dental implants.
Since the jawbone stabilizes implants, patients must have sufficient bone density. If long-term tooth loss has caused jaw recession, we offer a preliminary bone graft procedure to supplement your oral tissues.
Remember, implant surgeryis only recommended for those healthy enough to undergo the procedure. If you are a smoker or have certain medical conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, you may be better suited for traditional restorative dentistry.
I cannot say enough good things about this office and staff... Every person I had a interaction with from the front office staff to the doctor were more than competent. Dr. Newey and Kristy went above and beyond to insure that I was taken care of. I had a awful experience with my implants from another doctor and he had to remove them, do bone grafts and then a new implant. I would never go anywhere else!!!
The next step is a surgical procedure to place the implants. Dr. Newey will make incisions in the gums and strategically insert the small titanium posts in the jaw. Once they are carefully positioned, the incisions are closed with sutures.
During this procedure, we attach abutment pieces to each titanium implant. Abutments provide a secure point of connection to fix your implant-supported crown, bridge, or denture in place. After giving your gums a few weeks to heal, you will be ready for your permanent dental restoration.
We send your impressions and restoration designs to our trusted dental lab, where the prosthetic teeth are made to fit you to our exact specifications. During the last phase of treatment, we attach the implant-supported crown, bridge, or denture to your implants, and you are set with a brand new smile.

So glad I found this dental surgeon! I had to get a tooth removed and the process went smooth. He was very straight forward and made the decision easy. If I ever need to get another procedure done, Dr. Newey is who I will go see!

What a fantastic group of people!! My original experience elsewhere ended less than pleasant and the job didn't get done. I contacted Dr Newey's office anticipating a long wait for consultation and nope got me in the next week. Went in for consult for dental removal and implants and was put at ease immediately by Dr. Newey, Kristy, and the rest of staff. Came away knowing exactly what, how and cost. Had planned to get a second opinion to compare and at the end of day decided this is where I wanted to be! Within a couple of days made the appt for surgery process and am now almost 2 weeks into recovery and feel great. Before I know it my pimplants will be complete. Everyone here is so kind, gentle, caring, and just good down to earth people. I have never been more at ease with a staff when it comes to my mouth. Cannot say enough good about the Dr Newey and all of his staff. Hands down recommend them anytime! THANK YOU ALL!!

I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled 4.12.22 at 8am one of which were impacted. I was out of surgery by 8:45am. It is the same day a little after 5pm I have little to no pain and recovery seems to be going well. Thank you Dr. Newey and staff!

It's hard to put into words the level of care and professionalism that is put into every step thats put into the care you receive from Dr Newey and his staff. From the first phone call to when you leave, your care and comfort is #1. Was so nice after getting home to realize the thoughtful gift of a soup mug and soup in my recovery bag. Nothing but good things to say! I had been experiencing major wisdom tooth pain since mid-July and struggled with finding a good surgeon to extract the teeth. Places either wanted $1000+ upfront or didn't tell me I was out of network until the day of my appointment. Dr. Newey's office was the third place I had tried over the course of about two months, and they were able to get me in quickly for a consultation, and less than a week later I was able to get my wisdom teeth extracted. The office is nice, and the staff is even better. Several days after getting the teeth extracted I was still in a lot of pain, and someone in the office even stayed after the office closed for me to pick up another prescription as she didn't want me in the pain over the weekend. Definitely recommend Dr. Newey's office!

What a awesome group of people ! So polite & professional!! They got my wife in right away for oral surgery, she had 2 teeth bothering her for awhile, when our regular dentist couldn't perform what was needed he sent us to Dr. Newey immediately and we are glad he did. The man knows exactly what needed to be done and the staff did as well. Post procedure was explained very well. These people are so great I can't thank them enough. Thank you a million times over !!!!!!!

Super impressed with this place. The office is beautiful and the staff are friendly. They communicate with you well. Having your daughters wisdom teeth removed isn't "fun" ... but this team is Great!!!
