Dr. Marrs returned to his studies in 2003 to begin his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In addition to serving as a faculty dentist at the university, he also served as a student instructor and completed his residency training in June 2008. He also received a Masters Certificate in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery during his residency.
Dr. Marrs is an affiliated staff member at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and St. Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Marrs field of excellence is in specialized dental implant placement and bone grafting techniques, tooth extraction and third molar removal, facial skeletal reconstruction (orthognathic surgery) and treatment of facial trauma.
Dr. Collier is a native of Kansas and a 1979 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Collier served as an Associate Professor of oral surgery at the UMKC School of Dentistry from 1979-1980 and completed his oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency through UMKC and Truman Medical Center in 1984.
Dr. Collier has given numerous lectures and presentation to many of these local societies and regularly participates in continuing education symposiums. He is an active staff member at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center and Heartland Spine & Specialty Center. Dr. Colliers field of expertise is in specialized dental implant placement and bone grafting technique, treatment of facial trauma and facial skeletal reconstruction (orthognathic surgery), tooth extraction and third molar removal.
Dr. Barber is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan. He was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Dental Student Award and Membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (National Dental Honor Society) prior to graduation. He then completed a General Practice Residency from the University of Utah, in which he gained extensive training in treating the medically compromised General dental patient. He then went on to complete an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
Dr. Barber has received extensive training in advanced oral surgical procedures (impacted wisdom teeth, dental extractions, dental implants, bone grafting), outpatient anesthesia (sedation), orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), facial trauma and maxillofacial pathology. Dr Barberis aboard-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Care Life Support. He is actively involved in the community and enjoys volunteering his time to serve others, including the Kansas Mission of Mercy (KMOM) and Dental Lifeline Network. Dr. Barber also speaks fluent spanish.

Had a tooth extracted and the entire staff was efficient and professional. I was very comfortable throughout the entire time and was very grateful for the care that Dr. Barber provided. I would recommend OFSA if you need dental work.

My overall experience was okay. Dr. Barber is very nice and his assistances took very good care of me, but I did have a few issues. One big concern was that I am highly allergic to any form of codeine and my allergy is on my chart, but it has been prescribed to me twice. I confirmed my appointment multiple times, but the office staff confirmed and reconfirmed so many times it was unnecessary and became very rude. I was very aware of how much money it was going to cost me at the time of my appointment, I did not need multiple calls to remind me. During the process of getting my implant replaced they were not honest or upfront that the cost and over process did not include the crown and I would have to pay my dentist to make it and put it on. I would have never chosen this practice if I would have known that the crown wasn't included in the price. When I was told by one of the oral surgeons that I had to get it done by my dentist and it would cost extra to get it done, he was very rude and argumentative. For what I was charged I could have had the whole process done somewhere else. I will never recommend this practice for implants.

This is the 3rd member of my family to have teeth removed by Dr. Collier. It's been years since the first 2, but Dr. Collier is the only one I'd let take my son's wisdom teeth out. Professional, explained everything kindly to my son and had it done so quickly. Everyone in the office was kind and professional. Thank you!!

I came on 10/03/2022 for wisdom tooth removal. All staff was extremely nice (front desk, assistants, surgeons). Were even kind to district me while the I.V. was being inserted (I am of a nervous nature). They are a well-oiled machine that got me in and out (the procedure was about 30 minutes) all while providing the most considerate care. Absolutely would refer them to others.
