Dr. Michael W. Golding was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Tech University. He went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, MD, where he not only received his degree, but also graduated at the top of his class. Upon receiving his degree, he completed a residency at University of Miami Medical School and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During his residency, he was the Chief Resident and was granted the Professors Cup as the most outstanding resident of his class. Furthermore, he was recognized with the Most Outstanding Surgical Skills Award by the professors of the University of Miami. Multiple times throughout his residency, Dr. Golding was also involved in surgical cases showcased on Discovery Channel, The Today Show, and The Doctors.
Dr. Golding performs all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with specialized interest and experience in All-on-4 teeth in a day, wisdom teeth removal, advanced bone grafting techniques, implant placement,orthognathic jaw surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. His talents and expertise in these areas allow him to provide his patients with optimal comfort, safety and convenience. Dr. Golding is also on staff and surgically manages the facial trauma and reconstruction within the Level 1 trauma centers for both the Banner Healthcare System and Chandler Regional Hospital.
He is board certified with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Golding is also proud to be on the Phoenix Suns Dental Team as the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon of the Phoenix Suns. Additionally, he is a member of philanthropic organizations, including The Phoenix Thunderbirds and The Executive Council 70, both of which fundraise to improve the lives of the underprivileged in Arizona.
Dr. Golding is happily married to his wife Laura, who is an Arizona native and graduate of Arizona State University. Theyve welcomed two young children, Olivia and William. During his spare time, Dr. Golding enjoys being with his family, traveling, running, and playing golf.
A friend that had seen how ill I had become started doing research and found an article regarding Dr. Golding for the Discovery channel. I met with Dr. Golding and from beginning I liked how positive and confident he was and how he carefully listened to me as I explained my symptoms. He did a CT scan on my first visit and was very confident he knew right away what the issue might be. We scheduled surgery and within 8 weeks of that surgery my symptoms were slowly getting better and he was able to schedule a second surgery to put in the implant posts, I just finished with my crowns this week and everything is perfect.
Dr. J. Gregory Sabol was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received both his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree. During dental school, Dr. Sabol used his degree in Molecular Genetics to be involved with skeletal jaw and facial development research. Upon completing dental school, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Once he finished his General Practice Residency, he moved to Nashville, TN to attend Vanderbilt University Medical School for six more years of further training. Dr. Sabol received a year internship in General Surgery, specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as his Medical Degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School.
Since moving to Phoenix in 2006, Dr. Sabol has been proud to call it his home. He teaches the Oral and Maxillofacial Residents in the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency and holds medical staff privileges at Banner University Medical Center, Phoenix Childrens Hospital, and the Scottsdale Healthcare System. He is on-call for the Level 1 trauma service at University of Arizona College of Medicine and Banner University to repair and reconstruct some of the worst facial surgeries in the region. Dr. Sabol is also on the Council of Dental Education and is politically active in the Arizona Dental Association.
Having Dr. Sabol care for my teenage daughter was the best choice we could have made . He is extremely professional, an expertise in his field and his bedside manner was amazing and calmed even the most anxious teen and parents ! While he practices all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, his professional interests include: dental implant placement (including the Teeth in a Day technique), corrective skeletal jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), wisdom tooth removal, patient anesthesia, cosmetic eye procedures, maxillofacial trauma, and surgery for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Sabol is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Phoenix Magazine has named him a Top Dentist eight years in a row. Dr. Sabol realizes that patients and their families may be anxious about surgical treatments, so he is eager to put both the patient and the family at ease. He also takes pride in his patient care and personal interactions with patients.
In his spare time Dr. Sabol enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, hiking, fishing, traveling, and golfing. He is an avid runner and enjoys competitive racing a passion that has stayed with him from his years as a varsity track and cross country athlete at The Ohio State University.

My 7 year old son had a complicated extraction and our pediatric dentist referred us to Dr. Sabol. The front desk women were smiling and inviting, our hygienist was very kind and friendly! Dr. Sabol was kind and efficient. I don't know how he does the shot, but my son said he didn't feel it at all (granted he was on nitrous, but typically he still struggles slightly with the shot). My son didn't even flinch the entire time and it was over SO fast! He was able to go to school afterwards and his teacher even checked in and said he did not have any pain and was having a great day. It's been over 24 hours and he's not sore whatsoever. To me, that's totally thanks to Dr. Sabol's skill. We are so thankful we were referred to him and glad to have this over so quick and painlessly, definitely recommend this office!

I was referred by Dr. Stacy Tracy to have my 4 wisdom teeth out after breaking one. I was able to get in and have things handled incredibly fast by Dr. Golding and the highly skilled team at the Tempe office. From the start I was treated with care and kindness. As far as the procedure, I opted for full anesthesia (absolutely worth every cent as I'm the type whose absolutely terrified of having major work done on my mouth.) I was awake and less my wisdom teeth as soon as they said I'll start feeling sleepy. Afterwards there was only minimal swelling and discomfort and no scary thoughts to haunt my dreams. I was super impressed with the entire experience and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing work done.

CAUTION/WARNING At first, my wife's surgery went well. After recovering, she has had one side swollen and went back just to hear that they couldn't do anything about it. Now she is stuck with this pressure on one side and it is still swollen. It's been over 3 months... this is ridiculous. Go else where.

Dr. Sabol and his staff have been very helpful from start to finish with my implant. He explained exactly what would happen and that reduced my stress as it was my first implant. I would highly recommend their service. You will be able to count on a good experience.

Dr. M Golding is exceptional. I came to their office in a lot of pain, with complications after work done by another provider. Not only did they work me in promptly for multiple visits, but Golding was able to alleviate a problem causing me issues for months. His surgery skills are top notch. I am complicated case with multiple concurrent challenges. Professionalism, knowledge and KINDNESS I was shown by Golding and all the staff at both Tempe and Phoenix locations was simply appreciated more than words can say. Dr. S was nice enough to work me in one day when Golding wasn't available and he was terrific too. What else can I say except you should go here...

Dr. Golding and all staff are just great. So caring. Best Oral surgeon I have ever been to, I have had several oral surgeries by him. Always a very good experience. I have had a very bad previous experience with another Oral Surgeon in the area. Dr. Golding goes out of his way to make me feel comfortable and confident. Dr. Golding's expertise is amazing! I highly recommend him!

Wow! My new patient experience was the best. Loved that I could save time and complete all new patient paperwork online before visit. When I arrived Jennifer and Karissa were so warm and welcoming. I was happy to hear all my paperwork had been received so nothing additional needed. Just a short wait and Krista the assistant was there, she was very friendly. It was nice to meet Dr Sabol - he was so professional, through and made me feel really comfortable about my upcoming surgery. Beautiful practice, kind and professional team. It obvious they love what they do and taking care of patients too. Actually looking forward to my surgery. :)

After many years of grinding my teeth I finally broke one. The first few hours the pain was horrific. I wanted the tooth removed because I didn't want to take a chance of it hurting again. I was sent to an Endodonist to confirm there was no salvaging my tooth. There wasn't, so Dr. Golding removed it. I didn't feel the injections (I'm terrified of shots). I closed my eyes and let him do his job. A short time later my tooth was out, my gums stitched and I was on my way. Dr. Golding, Mary Ellen and the entire staff were excellent! I hope never to come back BUT... I later learned this was my 4th time here. My kids now 31, 28 & 21 all had their wisdom teeth removed when they were teens. Oral Facial Surgeons of AZ still doing great work. Thank you!!!

I went here to remove an extra tooth. Dr Micheal Golding cut my month and sewed it back with nothing fixed. Right now I am having a hard time with my money spent, my teeth bleeding, wounds and pain but NOTHING FIXED. I visited to check an extra tooth. Although I feel nothing for it, The doctor highly recommended me to have a surgery to remove it during office visit. I was only told by the doctor it will be a small, fast and safe surgery, WITHOUT being told ANY BAD situations gonna happen in person. So I listened to the doctor and decided to have the surgery. I can understand the doctor decide not to remove during procedure. HOWEVER IF I was told there is a possible risk to lose my front teeth. I will NEVER decide to do the surgery. They said my teeth were totally fine and nothing needed even after surgery failed and extra teeth still there?! I have to check at other hospitals. And I will reserve my right to take legal actions I am SO regret going here! DO NOT listen to their recommendations!

Dr. Sabol saw my wife in late 2019 after a dental surgeon in Tucson had failed to adequately prepare her jaw structure to receive implants, which then failed. Dr. Sabol devised a very cautious plan to allow for the placement and healing of bone grafts, with the help of PRF, through two surgeries six months apart. At the end of this period, it was determined that all implants had very sufficiently healed and integrated to proceed to the All-On-4 bridges. Where it was deemed that there had been insufficient jaw bone strength in one area, he utilized a Zygomatic implant. The expertise of his surgery has allowed my wife to now utilize her new Emax crowns in a very natural way. We consider Dr. Sabol to be one of the best oral surgeons in the country. R. Long, PhD

Had a consultation in 2017 for impacted wisdom teeth removal. Quote came back at $769. Pu the procedure off all these years. Went back a couple weeks ago, same insurance, for same procedure. New quote was $2300!! The woman in charge of the care plan told me she would contact my insurance to double check on what they cover. Still havent heard from her. I found another surgeons office and an employee there was an ex employee of this particular office. The employee mentioned that they're over pricing ....excessively over pricing! And I AGREE!! To top it off, they didnt bother checking if my insurance covered the Xrays and 5 second oral exam. Now my insurance is charging me $184. I called the office and they gave me this long explanation about my plan and what umbrella it falls under and this and that. Ummm shouldnt they have told me this before I went in there?? Apologies dont excuse or make anything better for clients. Sorry Dr. Goldman that your staff is incompetent. Make sure you call and have them double and triple check that your insurance will cover everything you need done.

So I'd never go here I went here to have 5 teeth pulled, it took 2 months to get into my appointment even after paying 2,300$ in full. Then after finally getting into my appointment I was informed they were going for 6 teeth an that I had pad for 6 teeth. Hold up so you charged me an made plans for this extra 6th tooth. But last minute the nurse checked the chart an said something to me before the last moment. As well it doesn't end there nope I then proceeded to do the the 5 teeth removal..... I had doctor Golding an let me tell you it was like a nightmare, "CASTAWAY" with TOM HANKS with the ice skate blade to the face that would of been better than what I had to endure!! 5 teeth drill split then pulled no anastishia just a local. Horrible an then i went in for a courtesy after surgery inspection an come to find they actually charged me 200 for that to have there work checked by them!!!! Saw/jack the ripper. Plus golding came from Miami school should of know. Go to Phoenix!
