Dr. Friedman is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The American College of Oral Implantology, The American Society of Osseointegration, and a member of the American Academy of Osseointegration. He is also a member of The International Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Friedman did his undergraduate training at the University of Miami and attended the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry as well as the Graduate Basic Science School receiving both his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and Masters of Science Degree in Anatomy. He did his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Training at the University of North Carolina and completed his Residency Training at The University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1978. Dr. Friedman is on staff at many of the local hospitals in the community.
Dr. Friedman is a member of the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the South Florida Dental Association and many other of their affiliated local dental societies.
Dr. Friedman lectures on numerous topics involving complex dental implant surgery. He has been given permission to operate in many South American countries by their Ministers of Health. He is the developer of both the Hex Cylinder and Twist Lock Cylinder dental implant and has served on the board of advisors of many dental implant manufacturing companies worldwide.He is presently acting Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Memorial Hospital West as well as Westside Regional Medical Centers.

Dr. Payton is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received a B.A. degree in Chemistry from Indiana University in 1981 and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1984, with distinction. He completed his residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Indiana University Hospital in 1988.
Dr. Payton is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and many local affiliated Dental Societies.
Dr. Payton has many areas of special surgical interests. He has extensive training and experience in the area of oral cancer and reconstructive surgery as well as tumors of the head and neck. Another field of surgical interest is Temporomandibular Joint Surgery (TMJ). He is a true pioneer in the field of TMJ arthroscopic surgery. He is one of the first to routinely perform in office TMJ surgery. He has done multiple open TMJ procedures as well as TMJ total joint replacement, when necessary. Along with these special interests, Dr. Payton also extracts impacted teeth, places implants, regenerates bone loss in the jaw using the latest technology (PRP & PRGF), just to name a few. Dr. Payton is on staff at many of the local hospitals in the community.
Dr. Payton is not only known for his expert surgical skills, but his warm, kind, and approachable bedside manner. He truly is an expert at putting a nervous patient at ease. He is the perfect combination of skill and humanity.
Dr. Luis Cardenas is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and The American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He received his dental degree from Javeriana University School of Dentistry in Bogot, Colombia in 1983 and completed his specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 1992. Additionally, Dr. Cardenas has completed two clinical and research fellowships in craniofacial and orthognathic surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry and Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He has trained and worked with several world-renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeons, giving him expertise in the area of major craniofacial reconstruction. Dr. Cardenas is on staff at many of the local hospitals in the community.
Dr. Cardenas is an associate professor at the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Cardenas's special surgical interests are in the fields of orthognathic, temporomandibular joint, cleft lip, and palate surgery. His advanced training in craniofacial surgery enables him to offer specialized treatments to patients with complex facial deformities.

I had my lower left wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Friedman and I honestly could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. From the front desk staff, including Linda who was very helpful, to his assistants in the procedure room, the care was everything I could ask for. In my particular case, my wisdom tooth had a pretty big cavity and I had put off the extraction due to scheduling and upcoming events that I thought would be difficult to attend if I was in the middle of recovering from a tooth extraction but after a night of pain, I decided to come in and get it done. Dr. Friedman administered the local anesthesia and within only literally a few minutes, my tooth was out. In my particular case, my tooth was already erupted and only needed to be pulled out but I still imagined that it was going to be so much more complicated! And my recovery was so quick! Within a couple of days I was back to eating normal foods and the pain and swelling was completely gone. I highly recommend this office and especially Dr. Friedman for any oral/dental procedure you may need.

Dr. Mederos and the staff have been amazing! Dr. Mederos extracted all 4 of my wisdom teeth and the surgery and recovery went extremely smooth, she is very kind and truly an expert. Her including the whole staff made this experience as well as every visit the most delightful it can be. I would recommend Dr. Mederos for anyone looking to properly, take care of their teeth the best way possible!

I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled by Dr Heidi Mederos. She is highly capable with a kind and friendly spirit. Great experiece from front office to the actual procedure. The medical team patiently took the time to provide preparation and guidance before and after the procedure. Very smooth recovery as well. I could eat solid foods within a week. Dr Mederos rocks!

I had my wisdom teeth (3) extraction with Dr. Friedman. He is kind, caring and professional, and so is all of his staff. Gabby, the nurse for my surgery was so sweet and made sure that myself and my partner knew all the post operative information before we left. His office is organized, efficient and I never waited more than 5 minutes before an appointment. It was a seamless process from the consultation, to surgery and then follow up after the surgery. I felt well taken care of. After the surgery, I wasn't feeling well and I had called the office for reassurance. Dr. Friedman personally called me himself and made sure I was doing okay! I am so happy I went here to get my teeth extracted. I am very happy with my care and would recommend them highly for any oral surgery needs!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had 3 wisdom teeth extracted with Dr.Friedman in less than an hour and I did not feel any pain. I was able to start eating solid food after a week. I would definitely recommend Dr. Friedman to anyone who needs to have their wisdom teeth extracted!!!!!

I have had tmj pain for over 15 years. I have tried everything to alleviate the pain but i finally decided to come see Dr. Friedman. He recommended a tmj arthroscopy procedure. He has changed my life! My jaw pain is gone, I have no more headaches, my mouth opens wider than ever. He gave my all of the tools for my surgery to be successful. Dr. Friedman also has an excellent bedside manner and I appreciate everything he has done for me! I drive an hour to come to this office and would do it over again if I had to.

Had to get all four of my Wisdom teeth taken out. Had one side done and came back four months later to get the other side done. Very professional Mr. Friedman is and his staff. Took the teeth out in less than 15 mins for both trips. I saved $1300 using him over another Oral Surgeon and I have a Dental Plan. Still spent less than $2000 but the other guy wanted $3300 for all four done.

Dr. Friedman and the rest of the team were amazing. My wife had some extra teeth that started to push on her other teeth and needed to be pulled, plus 2 wisdom teeth that also needed to go. Needless to say it was a complicated procedure that other oral surgeons didn't want to do, however Dr. Friedman put my wife at ease and the procedure went better than expected. The recovery was also better than expected, and my wife is back to eating solids and out of pain.

Dr. Friedman and team is absolutely amazing! I have been putting off getting my impacted wisdom teeth removed for quite a few years due to the complexity of the situation (impacted and the nerve placement). Dr. Friedman gave me a CT scan to see exactly where the nerves were before doing the procedure by doing this, he saved me from having damage to my nerves (lose of feeling in face etc.) I am extremely grateful and his bed side manner was amazing. I had his personal number and was able to contact for anything I may have needed over the weekend. Highly recommend!

Absolutely horrible experience with the front office and appointment setting. My son has Cerebral Palsy and was referred by our family dentist to see this provider for TMJ. I work for one of the largest Healthcare companies and I will be reporting a grievance with this provider, and I will be advising our dentist of our poor experience. 1. They did not validate our insurance correctly with a major insurance network UnitedHealthcare. Our insurance provider had to contact them and assist. I went thru several phone calls to assist. A good office staff would have been more cordial and supportive. The problem isn't that they had problems validating our insurance, the concern is the gross customer service, and the tone of irritation and the passive aggressive comments from the front office staff. Only one person was kind of the 3 different individuals we spoke with at this office. In my 30+ years in the Healthcare industry the way the front office handled the verification indicated they had no interest in obtaining a new customer. 2. The way they dealt with a 24 yr old with Cerebral Palsy is appalling. I heard the front office person arguing with my son when he was trying to confirm if they received his forms completed. She was impatient and very rude. I normally don't write negative reviews and I usually ask to speak with an office manager first, but by far this has been one of the worst experiences I have ever witnessed with a provider. I strongly suggest the doctor or manager monitor closer his front office staff and provide coaching as necessary, because there can be improvement. People have bad days and mistakes happen but on three different days and on different issues, this is a trend. The experience has been one where we would never recommend a friend or family member to this office.

Dr. Goldwaser and her staff were amazing. I was TERRIFIED to have this procedure done and they held my hand throughout the process. From the billing and ensuring exactly what I would be responsible for (as well as fighting my insurance to ensure it got covered) to the calming and soothing provided before the procedure. On my follow-up the staff was extremely nice and Dr. Goldwaser once again put me at ease. Highly Recommend.
