Edit to add .... My brother in law was seen and did not wear a mask for his wisdom teeth extractions .... That was the whole reason we called to schedule .... ........................... Never have we been so wrongly treated .... Me and my husband had a apt scheduled... husband had a infected wisdom tooth, and I need a consult for a embedded tooth ... when we called they had to schedule us a month out because they were busy ... which was fine! I told them on the phone that we would need to check in in the parking lot as we did not wear masks ... the staff was accommodating... the apt came we called when we arrived ... waited out in the parking lot 30 mins ... it was 90 degrees out but it's fine! We understand they had a job to do ... we then were seen and put in a room alone and at this point told the DR would be right in! we waited in that room another HOUR .... So now 1-1/2 pass our apt time the doc comes in and immediately says he will not provide us service.... He also jokingly told us about a Amish man who I quote "puts you in a chair and drops all the pulled teeth in a tin bucket" and how we can go to him for service ... I cried, I explained myself, and we both were asked to leave .... My husband was in PAIN unable to eat and waited a additional month for that apt... ... I explained muiltple times our request about masks and not once did they act as if it would be a issue ....... This is shameful ... we will not be back ... my husband was provided service and his tooth was pulled by another Dr 2 days later that respected us and our rights ...

I have been going to the dentist since I was 2. Never really had such a horrible experience like today with Dr. Koterwas. I had a tooth which had been infected took antibiotic prior. Put shot in numb me it did not, shot more came back in and pulled my tooth before it was totally numb, said go home rest and take tylonel and walked out.

Office mishandled my insurance for my daughter's oral surgery and ended up costing me $1927 out of pocket instead of approx. $200. They have no time to rectify or since I paid at time of call, but did tell me they were short-staffed which helped lead to the mistake. Are you kidding me? Terrible experience. I give one star because I have to...

We love Dr. Koterwas. As a surgeon he's great, but you're never really going to get any warmz fuzzies from him. He took my oldest son's wisdom teeth out three years ago, and we had a phenomenal experience from billing to insurance to great office staff. However when my younger son went this summer it was an entirely different experience. If you pay up front don't expect to get reimbursed from your insurance anytime soon. I'm still waiting since July!!! I do insurance billing at a a very busy dental office, so I know how this should work. The office staff is unprofessional and unorganized. You will receive excellent care from Dr. Koterwas, but don't expect much more.

Got my wisdom teeth out today (6/12/2020). The doctor and staff were incredibly nice! Also, I thought there might have been an issue later on at night and called the doctor. He ended up coming out to his office at 9:30 P.M. to see me at his office to see what was wrong. Luckily, he told me that i was okay. I thought it was pretty incredible that the doctor would come out at 9:30 P.M. on a Friday night. Thank you very much and I would definitely recommend this oral surgeon.

**This was the single most horrific dental experience of my life. I literally feel like I was assaulted.** I was referred to Oral and Facial Surgery by my dentist because I had a tooth infection that went into my jaw bone. So I went for a consult about getting my tooth pulled and maybe later getting an implant. The expense if anesthesia was around $550 to $700 dollars not covered by. Dr. Koterwas said I could do it without anesthesia. He assured me the whole jaw would be numb and I wouldn't feel anything anyway. However, since I had a lot of anxiety I asked about laughing gas they said they would provide that for $190.00 upfront. So I scheduled my appointment the next day. When I got there I was extremely nervous they hooked me up to the gas and shortly after started numbing me. I have have had ALOT of injections but he way of injections was almost violent..the numbing process consisted of quick consistent stabs while moving the needle around inside your gum. It seemed to be more painful then it needed to be. Then back to the gas. after a few minutes, I asked the nurse if it takes a while to feel the gas, she said no turned it up then down quickly (maybe off who knows) after another few minutes I was waiting on a check-in again to let them know i was still feeling NOTHING from the gas. Seeing no one pass by i decided to get out my phone to text my son to get my mind off my nervousness. As soon as I did Dr. Koterwas came back in and was upset to tell me that was against hippa regulations. I apologized and told them they could put my phone by my purse. I then told him I didn't feel the gas AT ALL and he said we'll give you a quick shot and opened the valve quickly again then turned it down or off... none of these times did I smell or feel anything from the gas. but before asking if it was woking he quickly put the "bike lock" in my mouth and started to pull my tooth. At this point, I realized I was not fully numb and was yelling ouch! he proceeded to pull back my gums with the tool to get to the bone to drill out any infected area all the while I was yelling ouch and crying. I was flopping around like a fish yelling ouch crying and at no time did he offer to stop to offer to numb me. My tears had formed a path from my eyes around my neck and down my back. After I exited the office I sat in my car and cried for at least 15 min before I could drive home, not from the current pain in my jaw afterward but from the ordeal I just went through. It's actually been hard to get off my mind in the last few days. today it is 4 days later now I still can't stop thinking about it so I decided to write a review.

I recently had three wisdom teeth removed and the dentist and staff were wonderful. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist and they were very understanding. The doctor himself even called me later in the day to see how I was feeling. This is the place to go if you need oral surgery!
