Dr. Larry Hoffman was born and raised in the Chicago area. He is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Dental Science degrees. After receiving his degree in dental medicine, Dr. Hoffman gained invaluable experience during a rotating internship at the renowned Albert Einstein Medical Center. He has spent the past 30 years practicing dentistry and creating beautiful smiles, earning a reputation as one of the leading implant and cosmetic dentists in the Chicagoland area.
Over the years, Dr. Hoffman has had many professional achievements. He is especially proud of being one of the earliest innovators in the field of implant dentistry, developing important implant and re-implantation techniques. Dr. Hoffman and his cutting-edge implant work were featured in an article in People Magazine in 1974. Since then he has also appeared on CBS, NBC, ABC, and many other networks to discuss aspects of cosmetic and implant dentistry. But Dr. Larry Hoffmans greatest achievements have been the smiles of the patients he has helped. Watching how the wonderful results have changed his patients lives has been a fulfilling and rewarding part of his career.
Dr. Hoffman has many hobbies. If he is not in the office, you may find him on the golf course or rooting for his beloved Chicago Bulls or White Sox. He has a wonderful family with whom he enjoys spending quality time, and he is an avid world traveler.
Dr. Hoffman has been an active member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry since 1969. He has been a fellow of the AAID since 1990 and has served on the Board of Directors in 1992, 1993, 1995, and 1996. He also served as president, vice president, and treasurer of the AAID Central District in alternating years. In 1999, Dr. Hoffman was scientific chairman of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry General Meeting in Orlando, Florida.
Born in Chicago, Dr. David Sher attended New Trier High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Illinois with his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Science degrees. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Sher spent a year in a general practice residency at Rush PresbyterianSt. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago. He has been practicing with the Dental Implant Associates since 1982. From pediatric dental care to the complexities of implant dentistry and the cosmetic improvements created in smile makeovers, Dr. Sher enjoys all aspects of his work.
Dr. Sher is known for his caring, professional demeanor and his attention to patient satisfaction. Aesthetics and function are his primary concerns for each patient he treats, and an emphasis on minute details helps him in creating lasting smiles. Dr. Sher sees patients from a wide range of socioeconomic and age groups, and he works hard to treat all of his patients according to their needs, desires, and financial abilities. He guides patients in the multiple possibilities of oral health care and works with patients to develop a customized treatment plan.
