Dr. Chelsea Balderson has wanted to be a dentist since childhood having grown up around her stepmoms practice in Arlington, Virginia. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth Universitys School of Dentistry. She completed a two year residency program at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following which she returned to her Northern Virginia roots to embark on her lifelong passion of practicing dentistry by opening up her own practice in Falls Church.
Dr. Balderson recognizes the anxieties that many people experience with a visit to their dentist, so she strives to provide exceptional customer service combined with quality treatment. Her nurturing treatment philosophy allows her to work well with children and patients with special needs. Her goal and passion is building lifelong patient relationships.
Dr. Balderson is local to the Arlington/Falls Church area and lives with her husband, Tyler who is also a Virginia Tech Hokie, and works in the Information Technology (IT) services industry. In her free time, she enjoys staying healthy with CrossFit and playing with their dogs Jimmy and Franklin.

This was the best dental experience I've had in a long time, and it started before I ever entered the office. I called a few dental offices in the area to ask questions and the staff at Optimum was the most friendly, helpful, and patient with helping me find the right dental practice. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted warmly and during my appointment (a long, new-patient appointment), each staff member treated me like their family friend. They spoke to me in a way that made it clear they are all very experienced and have excellent patient care. Dr B spent more time with me than I would have thought (usually, I feel like it's a drive-by for only a few minutes!) but she took the time to explain next steps and her recommendations for my care. I will be recommending Optimum to anyone who listens! I'm looking forward to my next appointment (and who has ever had that thought about the dentist!?!?!)! Thank you, Optimum Dental Team!!!

The whole staff was incredibly friendly. Andrea and Beth walked me through every step and made me feel so comfortable. The front desk ladies were also kind. I'm happy I found such a nice location near my house!

My favorite dentist in the world! Dr. Balderson is an angel! Her office is full of the kindest people and most importantly they do phenomenal work. I have a tough time with my teeth but they have helped my dental improve so greatly over the years. I would consider her office to be full of perfectionists! It's a wonderfully friendly environment, I truly have nothing but good things to say about Dr. B and her staff!

Everyone I interacted at was friendly and comforting. I really felt I could trust them with my dental health. Recently moved to the area and found the office through my insurance. I will definitely continue to go to them for all my dental needs.

These ladies are so wonderful and are always so accomodating! I had a dental emergency this week and called first thing in the morning and they were able to see me right away and assure me everything would heal within the week. Excellent service by all, would highly recommend!!

The staff was/is very personable and helpful. You could tell they enjoyed working there. Dr. B was great. She did not push me towards any one treatment route. She was direct and didn't waste my time sugar coating things or treat me like I was a ten year old.

I was in the waiting room this morning while the front desk person named Genet repeatedly denied someone who previously worked there to their paycheck and also told her to "get a job" very unprofessional and i don't recommend anyone going there after that.
