We hope this letter finds you well! We know it's been difficult for everyone during this challenging time, and we just wanted to let you know that we haven't forgotten about you! We've been open but only seeing emergency patients during the last 8 weeks, as was mandated by the Governor of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
As of May 11, 2020, we have been given the green light to reopen for routine dental care. During the last couple months, as we've been seeing emergencies, we have been making daily adjustments to our protocols to ensure they are meeting and exceeding the guidelines given to us from the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Research is ongoing, and we are prepared to adopt new guidelines as evidence emerges. We are thrilled to be opening our doors again to all of our existing patients, and we look forward to welcoming new patients to the practice as well. To give us time to acquire the necessary supplies and implement changes, we will be fully open as of June 1, 2020 for routine dental care.

I really like this place. It's really clean all the time, no waiting more then 10 minutes to seeing Dr. Staff is very respectful and nice with kids.

Went for my 6 month check up/dental cleaning - fantastic experience, start to finish - from the moment you walk in and be greeted with friendly and courteous staff, Katie. Dr. Mustafa Alkhawaja took time to ensure that x-rays look healthy, made sure you walk out feeling good about your mouth. The entire process is flawless and only Optimal Dental can deliver this type of service.

I take my 3 daughters to Optima, ages 12, 5 & 4. The staff/doctors are amazing with them! We have been going to them for a couple years now & don't plan on ever switching! My daughters are on the state insurance also, so it was great being able to find an office close to home!

Dr. Mustafa and the assistants at Optima Dental are truly top notch! He is genuinely the kind, patient, and honest doctor we all hope to meet. He takes the time to listen to concerns and offers encouragement. The dental assistants are knowledgeable and take great care in making me feel comfortable every step of the way. It's an ideal place for dental care with a fun, yet professional, vibe.

Optima Dental Associates are wonderful! They have done their best to squeeze me in when I've had low grade emergencies, they are easy to work with, and keep you informed about your options moving forward. The staff remember you after a single appointment, and do their best to connect with you.

1st visit they were amazing and punctual. 2nd visit 6months later appt was at 9:30 my kid wasnt seen until 11. My other son had an appt today (was made 6 months prior) for 9am husband shows up and office is closed. He waited for 1hr thinking he had the time wrong and still no one showed up. Called the office and no answer and looked on google and now the office hours have been changed to be closed from Saturday until Wednesday! They have a lack of communication with the patients.

Worst dentist I have ever gone to Every time I go I do not see the same dentist and I always have a problems with them I wait in the waiting room for over 45 min When your sitting in the chair getting your work done not only are they not professional but all they do is talk about their co-workers how they aren't doing their job right which is a red flag immediately ! they do not care about the patient all they care about is the money going into their pockets I received a RCT on a tooth and instead of doing a crown the dentist did a filling and that completely shattered my whole tooth! Now I have to pay out of my own pocket 7,000$ because of DR CARYN I also received a crown from them over two years ago and ever since I got that done i have been in pain ever since and on top of that the dentist is no longer working there This dentist is a complete scam save your money and your teeth and go somewhere that actually cares

I recently relocated to IL from GA in search of a new Dentist for myself and four daughters. Our insurance team provided us with several in network dentists and I tried my hand at Optima Dental Associates and was delighted. The office was bright and clean and the registration process was seamless. My daughters were comfortable with the dentist who was knowledgeable, patient & kind. I look forward to our next appointment in six months.

There's not enough room to share how much me and my family adore this dentist office. My children and I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The professionalism, the friendliness and cleanliness of this establishment far exceeds my expectations. Dr. Mustafa and his staff go above and beyond to make you comfortable and aware of your dental needs. Every step is explained and mapped out before you know what your getting yourself into financially and service wise. I have never endured any problems with prompt and immediate service. In regards to children this is a place your kids can establish a home for their dental care needs for years to come. My children always walk out of here with a smile. Make this your dental home as you won't be disappointed.

I am so thankful I found this place and I definitely would recommend it to anyone who needs to find a professional and welcoming place. Everyone is very friendly and helpful making sure you are satisfied. I have had such bad experience with the dentists in the past and I was terrified before my first visit but thanks to Dr. Yazan Akkash and all the staff I felt welcome and received the care I needed.
