I can't recommend Dr. Dains and Open Wide La Jolla enough. You can tell that Dr. Dains and his staff genuinely care for the health of their patients and strive to make dental care a painless, positive, and enjoyable experience. The office is pristine with top-of-the-line technology. You feel at ease from the moment you walk in. I had neglected my dental care for years and knew it was time to refocus my efforts on caring for my teeth. After Anthony's quick and painless (yet thorough!) cleaning, they set about creating a feasible treatment plan for some urgent root canals without a single lecture. Dr. Dains talked me through the entire root canal procedure and did impeccable, efficient work. There was no downtime, and one day later, I'm pain-free, and the procedure is a distant memory. Dr. Dains and Anthony, we're nothing but empathetic and reassuring the entire time, and I really appreciated Vivana working with my insurance company to ensure the most affordable service possible.

Before going to Open Wide, I had a big fear of the dentist. But Chad and his whole team are professional, kind, patient and awesome at what they do. I have had many cavities throughout the years, and thus, have a huge fear of that awful numbing needle. This was the first time a dentist guided me through with intentional breathing, and made the process as relaxing and calming as it could be. He did a phenomenal job too. As odd as it may sound, I'm actually looking forward to my next dental appointment.

Dr. Chad Dains and staff are one of the best kept secrets in La Jolla! I used to be a patient of Dr. Phil Burgess in Bird Rock. But, Phil retired, and after so many mistakes, I had to move to other sources who could take care of me and my daughter. Dr. Dains and team are top notch! He got me in last minute to help resolve a gum issue I had. I thought it was swollen tonsils and it was actually a minor infection that then got really bad after I ignored it for 2 days thinking it would go away with ice and ibuprofen. I had to get numbed and it was more serious work compared to a basic cleaning to say the least. I was super comfortable the whole time, he continued to check on me, and even gave me a hand signal to do incase I was feeling any pain. From start to finish, I was really impressed and happy with my whole experience.

Dr. Dains is a rare person who takes genuine interest in pretty much everyone he encounters. He has made our entire family feel at ease at his practice. He and the entire staff are professional, thorough, and a pleasure to encounter whenever the need arises. He has also gone well out of his way to call us after hours to check on us after a procedure, or if we have a question outside business hours. We are lucky to have Dr. Dains as our family dentist.

Amazing office! The minute you walk in with a friendly smile from Viviana to greet you in a beautiful clean environment. Dr. Dain walks you through any concerns with a gentle touch. Denise his assistant is extremely thorough in aiding him.. Best Crown ever! Zero pain with a perfect fit at first bite... Looking forward to my cleaning next month. This is my Dentist moving forward.

Dr. Dains and staff took fantastic care of me. They squeezed me in quickly for last-minute tooth extraction and new crown before my trip overseas. As one who has had SO much dental work done since childhood in the 1950's, I can honestly say this is the BEST dental experience I have ever had in my 74 years!!! Can't recommend them highly enough. Kind, thoughtful, caring, gentle, fun, attentive - they feel like family - the good kind!!

Open Wide La Jolla Dental services on Draper is a perfect "fit" for me. I left my prior dental offices earlier this year after 38 years. Dr. Chad Dains exceeded my expectations. I had to have a crown replaced: . The dreaded part for me is the final fitting . In the past ,with other dentists it always took several tries to get the tooth to "settle". Dr. Dains placed the crown. I paused. It "fit "perfectly. This is a locally-owned private practice in a fun part of La Jolla. The library is right down the street and there are numerous cute restaurants nearby. Going to this dentist and chatting with the staff will start a great new tradition for me. Candace Person
