Open Door Health Services is a not-for-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center. Our teams provide comprehensive primary, urgent, and preventive healthcare services, as well as social support programs. We care for individuals and families throughout East Central Indiana regardless of their health insurance status. ODHS offers services through multiple locations in Muncie and Anderson.

A Health Care Home isnt a building or a place. It is a way of providing health care that gets you and your family involved. A Health Care Home provides education and support for every area of care that you receive.Your health care team will consist of you, your family, your primary care provider, a nurse and medical assistant, a health educator, and behavior health or other specialists.

When the clinic first opened, it was staffed by one nurse and physicians from the residency program at Ball Memorial Hospital. Over the past three decades, Open Door has grown by leaps and bounds. In the last ten years, the growth has become even more pronounced. In 2000, Open Door served 6,272 individuals. In 2016, 20,239 received care at one of Open Doors locations throughout East Central Indiana.

Unfortunately, though, we are still not providing care to every uninsured or underinsured person in East Central Indiana. In fact, in 2014, there were approximately 126,435 people who were uninsured or underinsured and eligible for our services living in East Central Indiana without access to affordable health care.

Awful and unprofessional. Appointment are so over booked you have to wait 3 months just to be seen. They don't care if it's a emergency.

Will never return. The dentist was extremely rude and unprofessional. I gag when I am at the dentist. He got nasty with me because my tongue got in his way while trying to numb my mouth to pull a tooth. He got nasty again when my head jerked while he pulling my tooth. He has no business being a dentist.

Once back in the dentist chair the lady that led me back there asked if I had any teeth I was having any problems with. So I began to tell her yes there was a few I needed pulled out for sure because they really been bothering me, so much so that I haven't been able to chew on my left side for a few years now. She said ok but nothing else and proceed to do not only the x-rays in the dentist chair but also one down the hall where I had to stay standing up while it went around my head. Once she was finished with my x-rays I told her that I had another appointment somewhere else and asked whatever they decided to do please call me or email me about what I needed done. She told me no I still had to wait for the dentist to look me over. I said ok as long as you guys can take care of pulling my teeth. That was when she decided to tell me that not only do they not do same day treatments but they don't even handle tooth extractions at all there. The lady didn't seem to care or even acknowledge the teeth I had mentioned that were bothering me as well as a total disregard of the appointment I had mentioned once the x-rays were done. I never want to go back there again so much so that I'm willing to not go back to sign my x-rays over and go through all that pain all over again just to avoid ever having to go back there ever again. It was a complete waste of my time for me to even be there at all let alone for that long when I was very clear that I needed several teeth pulled because they had gotten to the point where I couldn't take the tooth pain anymore. I came to Open Door expecting to get some kind of help; instead I felt my needs, wants, and concerns went unheard as well as feeling extremely disrespected.

Terrible!!!!! I called months ago to set appointment they told me they couldn't see me until August 30th which was a month-and-a-half out. I called today to get the time of my appointment and they didn't even have me booked. She doesn't know she said. Extremely unprofessional never go here again. Plus she was pretty rude about it

I called to reschedule my appointment at the dental department. because of a family emergency. They at first wasn't gonna reschedule me, I had to tell her wanted rescheduled and sorry about the family emergency. She then not even a second later said it wouldn't be until mid july. I was like what that's too far out. She didn't even try to look for an earlier time not even in the slightest. I told her I'm just going to go to another dental office. I heard open door services were bad. If what happened to me is a glimpse into what the actual vista and care would be like, I'm glad that I decided to go elsewhere. The fact she was even very cold about it all too. Mist places would have been very sympathetic and most people would be like I'm so sorry for the family emergency. They would do their best to get a very close date because they understand emergencies happen. But I guess not open door services. I had to reschedule sever other places appointments today and they all done this very thing except open door. If it wasn't for Dr. Brown and his staff I would leave open door all together.

The dental office is absolutely horrible. I had a tooth pulled, and was in extreme pain for days upon days. And I was given nothing for the pain. I understand the opioid epidemic being an issue, however to not give pain medication after a tooth extraction is INSANE!! As a recovering addict had I been like I was 2 years ago, I would have just went and found something on the street to cure it. Which in turn keeps the opiod problem continuing. I paid $100 because I had no insurance at the time, and felt as if I was treated as such. Just because I did not have insurance does not mean I should receive subpar treatment
