Laurence Hyacinthe, DMD, better known as Dr. Laurie, was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. After graduating from the dental school at McGill University in 2004, she moved to New York City to complete a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. During that year, she traveled to Guatemala to participate in an outreach program, where she treated mainly children, in an isolated and impoverished native village. This experience was a turning point in her career, as it was then she first considered becoming a Pediatric Dentist.
Dr. Laurie completed her Pediatric Dental Residency at Lutheran Medical Center but instead of starting to work right away, she decided to continue her training in Dental Anesthesiology, in order to offer comprehensive dental care to her patients. She completed the two-year program at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2010.
